My husband and I enjoy traveling. There are so many places in the world to see that we have never considered returning to a previously visited destination -- until now. We loved everything about Yandup Lodge. We were there for 3 days. Excellent value for the price and a very memorable and relaxing experience. I admire what Yandup Lodge is...

Our thatched hut located over water was something out of Swiss Family Robinson. The lodge is managed by members of the Guna tribe. They are the nicest managers ever. Three meals a day are served. Breakfast is plentiful. The lunch and dinner consist of fresh fish caught earlier the same day. Each day a different activity is planned...tropical beach, Guna...

This is a very unique place which many people would find fascinating if they are prepared for this adventure. Location is great. Facilities are mediocre. Getting there can be scary if you don't like to fly through the clouds in a very small plane and land on a very tiny runway, after coming through a mountain pass. The "terminal" is...

Hi Linda, Thank you for your comments, they help other guests understand a little bit more about Yandup, as we do not intend to be a luxurious spot (for example, with a spa or fancy amenities). Our goal is to share this amazing piece of land and our culture with every guest. We understand Yandup (and Kuna Yala in general)...

Beautiful place. The customer service is second to none, absolutely fantastic. The staff will do anything to make sure you have a memorable stay. It is wonderful to see the natives caring for your well being without any fancy uniforms and fake chandeliers. Simple nature beauty and human touch.

First of all, we certainly don't regret having visited Yandup Island lodge for 2 nights. Yet to make this really a memorable stay, some things should be optimized and better be taken care off. Getting there is the fist part of the aventure: we flew in from Panama Allbright airport. With a 12 seater small plane, you'll have a 40minute...

Hello! We appreciate your comments, they have been very helpful. We are terribly sorry about the mosquito nets, they are easily damaged by the wooden sticks but this is not acceptable and we will change them right away, and will make a point of changing it on a regular basis. About the beach chairs, we can't place more as our...

We have seen many places, this goes easily to our top-10. Two nights is minimum, but maybe just suitable. Having great books and total relaxation - it was it. Indian village very exciting with the stories and cultural insights. All snorkling trips were great too, nice to see how people live on other islands too. Food was very "frutti-di-mare" and...

This island resort is small and intimate. There are approx. 10 small chalets. They are simple and clean. Some of them are standing on water. Staff is mainly Kuna Indians from the close by community. They are very friendly, bring the guests to close by island, to their community etc. Food is decent – best option is fish and sea-food...

Location: Great location, on a private island with the same name. Service: Service was ok, but varied notably according to time and number of guests. When few guests are present, the service is quite attentive, if not too fast. With many guests present, the service is not the same. The difference should not be that big. At dinner time, staff...

Dear guest, Thank you for taking your time to write a review as every comment helps us improve. We're sorry you felt our service changed too much when more guests were at the lodge, we will talk to our staff about it. At evenings, as you mentioned, our staff tries to serve a little faster as they do want to...

I have travelled a lot throughout my life - and this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. If you want to completely disconnect and relax, then this is the place. Dom & Tom (the two who managed the resort) were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our cabin was over the water and it was so...

If you've ever wanted to live on a deserted island, this is about as close as it gets (in a good way). The San Blas islands are postcard perfect, the thing of tropical island fantasies. The Yandup Island lodge is probably the most high end hotel in San Blas, but it's still a rustic experience - meaning that the huts...
