Wow. This place is incredible. We were met at the airport at Puerto Maldonado and then taken off by bus to the Butterfly house where we were greeted with cool drinks and fresh towels. Then we were taken to the port to take a 45 minute boat ride on the Madre de Dios river to the lodge. It really is...

When we were escorted to our rooms I must admit I was a little apprehensive about the lack of walls, windows and overall privacy. It took about 30 minutes for those concerns to disappear and for me to get lost in the serenity of the Peruvian jungle. I travelled with my wife and two children. The experience was phenomenal. I...

From the moment we stepped out of the boat and onto the property, we were in awe of this beautiful, pristine place. The huts are beautifully appointed, and the grounds are meticulous. We enjoyed touring the jungle canopy, and meandering up and down the Amazon on a peque peque. The meals were lovely, and the location is remarkable. This eco-friendly...

We stayed at the Inkaterra for 4 days, 3 nights on the tail end of our Peruvian adventure. What a great decision!! After being on the go for 8 days, it was great to sit back, relax, and truly disconnect in a beautiful setting. The excursions were excellent! The extra fee for piranha fishing was definitely worth it!! All the...

My son and I stayed at Inkaterra for three nights and four days. Our guide was excellent. Very well educated and trained, knowledgable about flora and fauna, good with kids and really made the experience come alive. We did the canopy tour (not for the agoraphobic) and the lake tour (we saw a great amount of wildlife - birds, caimans,...

I stayed at this jungle lodge in Peru South amazon with my family, for three nights. All good, beds comfortable, marvellous service, wildlife excursions excellent, our guide Paul was knowledgable and amusing. The extra payment of £75 pp for the Valencia lake piraña fishing trip is well worth doing.

We had an enjoyable stay at Inkaterra Amazonica. The staff went above and beyond to assist us and to make our stay unbelievable. Transport and pick up was efficient and ran smoothly. Fine dining food was amazing with assistance from English speaking staff. We had a tour guide in English, it sometimes became tricky if on the boat with two...

We stayed for 3 nights and could have stayed much longer, The lodges were very comfortable and had all you needed, the hammock was my favorite place to rest and watch the wildlife from. The large mesh 'windows' were a great way of keeping the lodge cool(er) but were not too good at 5 in the morning keeping the sounds...

My husband and I just returned from a two week trip to Peru which ended with a 4 day stay at Inkaterra Amazonica. It was a joy to wake up to the sounds of nature every morning. I described our room to my children as an upscale version of camp with much better food! I especially loved sleeping under the...

We stayed 4 nights and had plenty of time to enjoy all the adventures. The other reviewers really catch the essence of all there is to offer at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica, but I'd also like to give a shout out to the calm and relaxation that the resort provides. Parakeets inhabited a tree near my cabana, and one afternoon I...
