A couple of friends recommended this lodge so we didn't even look at the reviews to be honest, BAD IDEA. My friends stayed there years ago and perhaps it was different. To start off there are no monkeys, one of the main reasons we booked there. We arrived and were surprised to see the ground unkempt (dirty buckets in a...

We stayed in the Anaconda Lodge, which is quite far from the citycenter. The rooms are simple but descent and the pool is very nice. There's a lot of space and the lodges are in the middle of the trees. Only downside: on Friday, saturday and sunday there's loud music till 5 a.m. from the club nearby.

We camped here in our rv for one night. The place is neglected. Its like wild camping in the bush. Toilets were clean. No warm water in the showers. We didnt try the restaurant. It could be a nice place if it was better maintained. Sad to see..

Pumping music playing until after 12am, no sleep, old sheets that need to be replaced, toilets and showers horrible and need repairing/updating, cat in the restaurant area is just plain WRONG! Plus side, Kik was very helpful and lovely when we arrived, very generous and her worker was wonderful to us and food was great. No sleep means cranky mummy...

We spent a night here after a trip to the jungle. Our rooms were clean and had electricity, the beds were comfortable and had the usual "hot" water shower head. The garden and grounds are mostly maintained. The staff give the feeling of being a little disinterested and tired. The restaurant food was mediocre albeit fairly cheap. Its quiet and...

We had the best time here, lodge is 10 minute walk from airport but feels really remote. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which has hilarious furniture and the biggest bath I have ever seen! Sadly their pet monkey George has been stolen from them, really sad to hear them tell us about it. We saw other monkeys throughout our...

we travelled to the lodge to cuddle monkeys but the monkey George has gone - there are no monkies so don't come here expecting them. We are really sad. The pool and hostel setting isn't that nice and cabins are very basic.

Where else can you be entertained by Donald (Swiss) and Wadee (his Thai wife) in their patch of jungle, only cleared sufficiently to build 6 bungalows well apart from each other? You are welcomed by pet dogs including the charmingly ugly Peruvian hairlless breed. Also monkeys and if luck a boa constrictor, living there somewhere and occasionally seen. Deliberately no...

My husband and I travelled to Peru in April 2016 and stayed at Anaconda Lodge during the first leg of our trip in Puerto Maldonado. Everything from the communication during booking to the pick up from the airport was smooth and comfortable. Donald, Wadee, and Kik are very welcoming hosts and truly look after you. We did the 3 night/4...

We stayed there for three nights, the rooms were clean and the breakfats theyoffer was great! We also loved the monkey George and people were very nice to us. We took the trip to lake Sandoval and our guide Luis was really experienced and knew a lot about the animals and where to find them, on the next day we...
