I stayed at this hostel recently, It is clean, comfortable, good wifi in the rooms, hot water. Its location about 2 blocks from the Plaza de Pinos was good too. If you spend all day in your room, it lacks a bit of character, but if you use your room to sleep in and store your gear while you are...

I stayed in Hostal Los Uros twice overnight while visiting Puno with my partner in November 2015. We failed to do our tripadvisor research in advance and took a gamble with a lonely planet recommendation. Our first stay was actually really decent, but our second was not - mainly due to the location of the rooms. PROS - CHEAP -...

I am not sure why the other reviews are so negative. We stayed one night and found the staff to be so helpful and nice. Always went out of their way to help us. Our room was big and the showers were hot. The hotel is quiet which was great for us as we wanted to rest after adjusting to...

the team is nice. Well located, close to downtown. Rooms are clean, beds are good, but not cosy at all, very cold atmosphere, almost depressing. No breakfast. Deposit service for your luggage if you need to. Ok for the price

This hostel was extremely cheap, yet I would not recommend staying there for more than a night. It is extremely dark, moldy and dirty, the showers were cold, the beds were uncomfortable and the toilets did not work. There was a constant smell of sewage and the windows did not close properly. Yet these things are expected when the price...

The Hostal Los Uros is located on a quiet side street in the center of Puno. At the price charged you won't find a heated room anywhere in Peru but the showers are hot, the blankets plentiful and the rooms clean. Small room heaters are available for an extra charge. I stayed here several times between visits to Isla Khantati,...

This has to be the worst place I have ever stayed in with a good lonely planet review. I booked two nights at Hostal Uros at booking.com, and it was clear at check-in that the desk clerk had no idea what that website was, or who I was, for that matter. Hotel staff was very friendly, however, and I still...

After not going too far wrong following recommendations in the Lonely Plant guide book we again followed this tried and tested method after arriving in Puno only to be well and truly let down. The guy in reception (Celestino) was quite friendly and apart from the location he was the only redeeming feature the hostal had to offer. The room we...

I've been staying at many hostels and this is the first one where I was a little scared at night. The owner didn't attempt to speak English to me he just smiled at my friend and I continuously which was nice but started to get a little creepy. The hostel was attractive because of how inexpensive it was. The room...

This hostal was dark, smelled like insecticide, the plugs didn't work, the walls were crumbling, it was cold and very very ugly. The owner offered us another room, it had a window, it was better, but still smelled very musty, had no shower curtain and was pretty sad. We left and i'm so glad we did because there are decent places...
