Stayed here two nights with a stay on Lake Titicaca in between. As others have stated the hotel is located one block from the main pedestrian street and only a few blocks from the Plaza de Armas. For under $40 per night I really was not expecting much and I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service (which included holding...

Thanks for your feedback. We have eggs to order, you just need to order to our waiter so they can prepare them in cooking. About the hot water, we have it 24 hours a day, so it is rare you do not have hot water at 2 a.m., if this was so you had to call reception to that we...

Let me begin by saying this is our 5th hotel in our first 10 days in Peru and it is by far the least best. In the book left in the room it proudly states that it has be open since 1996 and I would submit that not much has been done to update it since then. It is dark...

Dear Guest, we regret that your stay was not as you expected, we really work to provide quality service but apparently there are moments when this seems lost. We will continue working to improve our service and we hope give always our best effort to all our guests.

The Qelqatani is a hotel past its peak, it seems like they are running it on a budget (not much light especially early late at night and the bar was closed while we were there). The good things. Great showers, friendly and kind staff, comfortable beds. Great location one street from the main pedestrian street. Can open windows to get...

Dear Guest, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We will work to improve the WiFi which must function properly unless provider error. We also note the other things he mentioned to take care and improve that.

This hotel seemed to have many good reviews and we can't judge fully either way. However, we arrived very late after our journey on the Andean Explorer from Cusco. We had booked a twin room but were given a double bed. Our room was on the internal part of the hotel, with curtain covered windows looking down an internal shaft....

Thanks for your feedback. When making reservations must specify whether you want double matrimonial (1 bed) or double twin (2 beds). Also, you can ask for a room change but usually there is an additional fee for change for double matrimonial to double twin.

Very nice staff. Room is fine. Great breakfast with a good variety. Internet was strong. Is nicely located as it is very close to the main square and the main road. Have an in house restaurant. Negative: no dark curtains and room was on the street side and therefore loud, especially at night. Good stay, would go again if back...

Big beds in the room. Two blocks from the main square. Breakfast buffet was good. Bathrooms are clean. Don't flush toilet paper. Wifi works well in the lobby areas but isn't strong enough in the rooms.

I had a Skype interview and needed to stay in a place with decent internet. Qelqatani has very good internet and I could Skype fine. Good breakfast, friendly staff (English speaking too), and clean rooms. The only downside is the thin walls - hearing the sound of the man next door snoring the roof down wasn't my idea of a...

Dear Guest, thank you for sending your comments. We regret that sleep quality was not expected because of another guest, but remind them that can apply for free earplugs and thus have a better rest. Our WiFi is usually always good and we are happy to have been so during their stay.

Puno is a place you pass through, not one where many stay. It's near Lake Titicaca so even in the summer months (Dec-March), it's still very cold and most of the hotels don't have heating, besides a plug in heater that occasionally work. (I can't imagine visiting during the winter!) We had such a horrible experience at Hacienda Plaza de...

This hotel was ok. The rooms had very poor air quality which made it difficult to breathe sometimes. Apart from that, the rooms were in pretty good condition. The bathroom was clean. And it had 2 double beds which was an added bonus. The hotel staff were also very helpful. Don't bother with the hotel restaurant. There is food just...

Dear Guest, thank you for sharing your comments. All rooms have regular air flow, the issue of difficulty in breathing in some cases is due to the height of our city but you can request a few minutes of oxygen in hotel reception to feel better.

The Qelqatani Hotel was more than our "base camp" while we visited Puno and sailed to the Islands of Amantani and Taquile on Lake Titicaca. This was our first stop on our 23-day adventure through Peru and we (four travelers in our party) found the atmosphere and services most welcoming. The street access is like most of Puno ... just...
