We normally use trip advisor to book all our accommodation, though for Puno, we relied on a friends recommendation of a hotel brand being Casa Andina. We also wanted to be close to the city centre as we were heading out to the islands for a homestay which required a pick up. If you are after a basic, clean hotel...

My husband and I stayed here and we were very pleased. We had stayed in upgraded hotels the two previous nights, but since this hotel was more budgeted, we were not sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised! The hotel is in a safe location - walking distance to the main square. The rooms were very clean and quiet....

We stayed here for two nights as our resting spot for our trip to Lake Titicaca. The room was small. The mattress didn’t reach the end of the bedspring, so we kept banging our legs into it. The heater didn’t work adequately so the room was very cold. The bathroom was even colder. There was little storage space in the...

The hotel is at the end of a pedestrian walkway with the Plaza at the opposite end. The walk from one end to the other is 15 minutes and passes by numerous shops, restaurants, and bars. Puno is a small but busy town and the hotel is in a great location. The room was clean and new or newly renovated....

Located at the end of the Main plaza area it is a safe walk to the restaurants and shops. The staff was helpful. They were able to get taxi service within minutes during a rain shower which was nice. There is a brick oven in the dining area and they serve fresh pizza. The breakfast was good as well. The...

Our second experience of Casa Andina and this time we knew what to expect and although this one seemed to be in better condition than the one in Arequipa (no building work going on), we were a bit disheartened to see the same drab furnishings again. It wasn't bad, and it did the job. I just wasn't very excited to...

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed after having wonderful experience in Arequipa at their hotel, however the service here is terrible, poorly trained staff, grumpy front desk management, imagine s8 for small bottle of water, wi- fi ONLY available in lobby and not anywhere else as advertised. Totally over priced. Only smile was the chef at breakfast making excellent eggs. Don't...

This hotel is in a good location for getting to restaurants/bars in the main street in Puno. The lobby area was really nice, especially when they lit the fire. Our room was a bit disappointing - on the ground floor looking out onto a wall. On the plus side, we had a very large bathroom and the room was clean...

We booked this hotel together with another Casa Andina Classic in Cusco. For both, we had some kind of misunderstanding at the reservation. For the hotel in Puno, we agreed with the lady on the phone on a quadruple room at the Casa Andina Private Collection on the lake. Few minutes later, she sent us an email saying that during...

Staff were most helpful - even changing our room because the first one let in too much light! Delicious soup and pizza if you don't want to go out. They sell beer and will let you drink your own wine. Warm, friendly. Jesus was especially helpful! Delicious breakfasts, decent sized rooms with good showers and beds. Excellent location

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A medium-size, easygoing hotel with several relaxing public areas, including a fireplace lounge and courtyard. Close to Puno’s restaurant and bar scene along the pedestrian-only Lima boulevard — just a 5-minute walk— but just far enough removed to make sure visitors get a good night’s sleep. More spacious, with larger bedrooms and with more public areas, than Casa Andina’s other downtown Puno Classic hotel. ... more   less
