Seda Ayala Center Cebu stands out for its prime location adjacent to Ayala Mall, making it a hit with guests who value convenience for shopping and dining in Cebu City. The hotel's varied breakfast and attentive staff have received commendations, although opinions on value diverge, with some guests finding it reasonable, and others spotting areas needing enhancement.
The cleanliness of the hotel generally earns praise, as does the overall vibrant atmosphere, but the dated decor in rooms has been a recurring critique among some visitors.

Genuine courtesy and welcoming vibe from staff. Direct access to Ayala Centre. The room does not have a chemical or artificial freshener smell, even the fabrics. I'm sensitive to dust and their ac didn't give me any discomfort. I t feels so clean and comfortable. How nice that they included a sanitizer spray on their complimentary hygine kit. The toiletries are of good quality. The only hiccup was when my booking through Agoda didn't go to their system, so checkin took a bit longer. Everything else is great.

I booked this hotel in behalf of my mom, who was travelling back to Cebu. Special shoutout to Ms. Frances for her excellent effort in arranging the hotel accomodation for my mom. Among all the accredited hotels that I have emailed for information regarding rates, accomodation and covid results lead time, she is the only one who have addressed all of my concerns, that is why I felt secured to book my mom with Seda. She has been very prompt with her replies and very proactive. She went above and beyond to accomodate me and that left a very lasting impression on my end. I can't thank her enough :) My mom raved on how great and accomodating the staff were, how systematic everything was from airport pick up, to check in and how delicious the food was! She loves how comfortable and homey the room was, a much needed comfort after long hours of flying and travelling. Finally, when my mom received her results after 24 hrs, she was able to check out a day early, the staff printed the results for her, arranged the hotel transportation and dropped her off at our home at no extra charge. She was even refunded for the extra night that she had booked. I can't be more happy and impressed with SEDA Ayala. SEDA is not a hotel but a refuge, they have stepped up during this unprecedented time. I cant wait to stay here with my family when this pandemic is over and we go back to normalcy. Until then, I hope you continue to do your very best :) Stay safe and God bless.

When this was the Marriott, it was our first choice for accommodation in Cebu. Reasonable rates, first class international service, plush surroundings, direct booking, and expertly fitted out. We loved it. 2 nights under the new banner of 'Seda' seemed an obvious choice. Well...
1st- for international travellers, there appears to be no booking directly. You need to use a 3rd party, such as trip.com or agoda etc.
2nd - as a consequence of the 1st point, my 2nd nights booking was lost. Until I produced a printed verification of by booking (note a higher price these days as well), the lady on reception really wasn't going to back down. I'd been travelling for 30+ hours straight at that point, and asked that she sorted it out. I put in an expensive phone call to the 3rd party who verified my 2 nights.
3rd. Woken at 10 am for a 'room status check'. I assured the man from my bed that the room was fine, its status "G" for "Go away, you've woken me up", but he persisted. Answering the door, he incoherently stressed the need to "check the mini bar" and "check guests". As a single traveller, I didn't appreciate the connotation or the interruption, so took his badge and politely told him to 'Foxtrot Oscar'.

Good and convenient location as it is near offices and the mall.
Cleanliness of the room particularly of the bathroom needs improvement.
Food selection in restaurant is just ok. In terms of taste, food is either too salty or too bland. Better to explore restaurants in the mall than to eat in the hotel.
Relatively more expensive than other hotels near the area and in terms of value for money, other hotels might be a better choice.

The staffs are courteous, hotel sanitation is good tho the aircon/ventilation at the lobby is quite warm (which is understandable since it's still pandemic and continuous closed ventilation is still a factor for transmission) bedroom is cozy and well sanitized. Free breakfast buffet at Misto restaurant is amazing! I only have one quite undesirable comment about not having a bidet and/or tabo on the room's toilet & bath which is super essential for filipino tourists like me (tissue paper are well stocked tho). Overall stay was amazing and I would definitely stay again here the next time I visit Cebu. Just make sure to book on advance so that you'll have great deal for the hotel's rate. Thanks a lot!

My overall stay was superb and topnotch! The hotel is located at the heart of the city and the mall is just a few steps away. It was also convenient for me since I was applying for a visa to Europe and the VFS Global Visa Center was just a 2-min walk from the hotel. It was truly hassle-free and everything is accessible from its location. All the staff members were attentive to details and very accommodating. I commend everyone for giving quality services especially during these extreme times. I appreciate the hotel protocols to ensure that everyone is easy to trace and feel safe at all times. The facilities and food quality were also topnotch! The view of the garden at Misto restaurant was also a delight! Truly a memorable and satisfying stay. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience, Seda ACB! Would love to stay with you again the next time I'm back in Cebu!

room did not have a wow effect when you come in, incomplete important amenity, old fllty towels, no bidet, hard to call househeeping, front desk & no turndowns even you requested it using the button. not even knock on the door. 2 small rolls toilet papers are not enough for 2 nights stay for 2 people specially no bidet installed. I resorted to asking friends in other guests rooms if they have extra toilet paper. no facial tissues to blow you nose with.
I like the cozy bed. bfast buffet is fine but not the ala cart menu, we ended up eating outside after our lunch experiences at the hotel.

As always when we travel to the Philippines we stay at Seda Ayala Center Cebu. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which had a small anteroom with a sofa, table, closet and TV. I knew this suite and everything was as expected. When making the reservation I had ordered an extra bed, this was shown on the reservation with a one-time 2,000 peso. In the hotel I should pay this amount then daily, we have then waived it and used the sofa as a sleeping accommodation.
The room cleaning was sometimes very slow, we have made with the employee partly a cleaning appointment, which was then also times not kept. We also had to call after the room cleaning because the soap or toilet paper was not refilled.
We had booked the room with breakfast, the rich breakfast internationally oriented and everyone should find something for his taste. Unfortunately, you had to regularly queue and wait until a place has become free. This was not so in previous years, one was then if necessary placed in the lobby, which dan rather reminded of a company canteen. We preferred to have breakfast outside on the terrace. When it rained, however, the water gradually penetrated the ceiling and breakfast was over. It seems that during the renovation a few years ago, the roofs over the terraces were not repaired, one has the feeling that the hotel has saved at the wrong end.
As a conclusion I can say that I will stay again in the hotel, it is still very good standard. However, one has the feeling that as a foreigner married to a Filipina, you have a somewhat heavier stand overall, which you become aware of through many little things, but which can also only be coincidental.

Tracey Paloa's 19th birthday.
Birthday treat.
Dear Sir/Ma'am,
Thank you do much for the email which is acknowledged.
We did check into Room#912 with double beds on Saturday 25th February 2020 for one night only.
Since it was my daughters 19th birthday, it was a treat for her. She had so much fun and is very appreciative for the little 19th birthday cake upon arrival. Truly appreciated and definitely thank you, that was so thoughtful.
The room itself is quite big and very spacious. So close to the mall which is a big advantage. The staff are so friendly and very helpful indeed. We have never come across this kind of gesture so I command the staff for the great hospitality.
To show our appreciation, my daughter has painted drawings and left it in the room. That's our way to day thank you.
Thank you so much once again and we look forward to another stay very soon.
Kind regards
Nancy Lilip Topagal
