Booking the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu every year for arrival or departure stop overs, its quality has not changed a bit. Service, food, accommodation and location of this hotel is excellent. We stayed their in January and February 2023 and for us it has still its flair. Especially chief cook JUANITO puts always magnificent food on the table at Cafe Marco, El Viento and the roof top BLU BAR!!!! To round your stay bar tender ROBERT will make it complete and surf you with his best cocktails.

We really enjoyed our stay in Marco Polo. The room was very nice and our bed was comfy. We really loved the room that we stayed as it has a bath tub in it and our kids really enjoyed it. The kids enjoyed the pool as well as it was not crowded. And the cakes were very delicious. We'll definitely stay here again and hopefully next time we'll be able to stay with the newly renovated room(s) at a discounted price.

Today is Holy Thursday and Marco Polo Plaza Cebu is the first hotel to kick off the 'Family Hotel Hopping and Holy Week Staycations'. I give back to God all the glory and praises for these enormous blessings showered upon us to be together in this time of pandemic plus the gift of health which is considered the greatest wealth in this world.
This 5-star business hotel located in the prestigious Nivel Hills at 600 feet above sea level, the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel provides a panoramic view of Cebu City and the Mactan Island, surrounded by 7.5 hectares of greenery, 329 spacious & comfortable guest rooms and suites which made it on my 'Bucket List Hotels' for a long time now. I've been here several times on different occasions for dining experience, especially in Cafe Marco, Lobby Lounge and in Blu Bar & Grill. I can still vividly remember the last time I was here, it was during the Breakfast with Miss Universe 2019 Viewing Party (December 9, 2019) at the Grand Ballroom. Finally, I can now tick off Marco Polo Plaza Cebu on my Dream Hotel Bucket List.
Weeks before the Holy Week, the Front Office Department Supervisor Francis Lacsamana confirmed my reservations by giving me a second Deluxe Mountain View Room (Twin) for my sister Irene and family for only P199.00 (overnight stay). It was a perfect offer for a special event like the Holy Week. Thank you for making it come true, fun, happy and successful. I totally love the connecting room with one (1) queen size bed for myself (being a Queen looking for her King 😂) and three (3) double beds for my family. Everything is placed on its right places and order. Praise God!
I would like to acknowledge the help of the Front Office Staff Kate and Michael for a job well done and for their great service in making our stay perfectly smooth.
I'm looking forward to have my family breakfast with Cafe Marco for the first time together before we check out tomorrow.

Staff was great. Room service personnel, reception, concierge etc. Everyone was polite and accommodating. However there were inconsistencies with your policy that lead to an argument with one manager which ruined my whole outlook. The thing is, we just wanted to ask why one was insisting a different policy whereas other personnel was also insisting a different one. We were talking about corkage charges. Again, we just wanted to clarify the inconsistencies of one personnel to the other, we don't mind following rules, it's just that, they have been saying different ones that we were not to be charged if we go here/eat here, that it's only 1500, it's only 500, then it was 2000. You can carry the food one by one etc. The staff were in shambles, as were I as they have been saying different stuff. Please also note that apart from the Take Away, we also bought food and drinks from In-Room services but we've already been staying at the hotel for 3 days (booked 5 days) (we accommodated at least 8 rooms due to an event) of course we'd also love to add variety. PLUS, I already asked their corkage guidelines before ordering out, that's why I was annoyed why on the lobby when the delivery came, the other staff said a different policy. It was INCONSISTENT. Then your Manager came to and rudely insisted on her side, that we were already given a discount, then she cut us off. The issue then got another solution.. that was neither said in our exchange. Again, food was great, staff was great.. It's just this one particular manager that made me hate my stay there due to her being rude. You may think I'm stingy but you can ask the housekeep that I tip generously, and he deserves it. So this really isn't about me wanting to save money on corkage, it's inconsistency with your staff's knowledge and your managers rudeness.

I love Marco Polo, its ambiance, Food at Cafe Marco and I love how they manage to fulfill mu request especially the once i requested to surprise my partner where there are flowers in the room, rose petals in the floor and in the bed and bathtub, they perfected it.
One of the things that saddens me, but they somewhat did not really seem to care about it was my Check In Experience.
The room number listed on my Key Card Holder is Different from the Actual Room they placed me on. It took me almost 15minuts i keep on swiping my Key in the door to no avail and have to go down to the lobby again with all my stuffs, since i refuse to be assisted by their bellboys because i can manage it, to figure out that my room i swiped my key was wrong but its the one listed on my card. So they change it etc etc.
But the sad part was the moment when you want to surpirse your partner was gone because of this experience. It could have been better when my partner saw what i have them prepared and that momentum when you are about to enter the room in a splashhh booom was gone. Thats all.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay in Marco Polo Hotel Cebu. The hotel lobby is clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Checking-in was a breeze. The hotel staff and service crew were courteous, attentive, and helpful. I availed of the celebrations and milestone voucher (priced at Php5,200 nett) and all the benefits indicated therein were honored by the hotel: deluxe room, buffet breakfast, complimentary room upgrade, full size mango cheesecake, a bottle of wine, late check out at 3:00 pm, and 15% discount in the hotel restaurants. It was definitely a good bang for the buck. The hotel has a gym and swimming pool. The room was clean, beddings and pillows smooth, and toiletries, bathrobe, bedroom slippers, and hair dryer were provided. The breakfast buffet offered a sumptuous array of delicious food. In sum, I recommend this hotel for your stay in Cebu, Philippines and for you to experience Filipino hospitality at its best.

I stayed at Marco Polo upon arriving in Cebu from an international flight. The protocols at this hotel is top notch for dealing with Covid 19. It segregates all incoming guests from other guests but doesn't make it awkward. As for the hotel itself it was clean and well kept. What sets Marco Polo apart from most other hotels that I've stayed at is its people. All of the staff are amazing here. You were always well informed from the ride to the hotel from the airport to regular calls to see if there was anything I needed as well as informing me of important details. The food services was very good with a decent menu. The food delivery was among the fastest that I've ever experienced in any hotel anywhere in the world that I've been. And I am quite an avid world traveler. My only complaint about my stay would hqve been that I requested a large bed but got 2 small beds instead. But this could have been due to the online booking site not relaying adequate information through my booking. All in all I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

This was our second time in Marco Polo and it never fails. The room is clean and comfortable and the bathroom was perfect. This time, though, we ran into a hiccup. We checked in and our assigned room wasn't prepared. We went back to the lobby so we'll be assigned a new room. We're surprised that they gave us an upgrade to make up for it. We gladly accepted it.
This stay was a special one because we're planning a birthday surprise and the staff were very accommodating with our questions. We had to make sure that we're allowed to bring or do certain things, and we're more than happy to hear suggestions from them (thanks for suggesting your Cake-Me-Home series!).
Breakfast was splendid. However, for the Continental Breakfast, I was expecting a muffin and a bigger croissant. I think that was a cupcake instead of a muffin. The buns served were also not warm so it wasn't such a good pairing with the butter. On the second day, however, we chose to have the other breakfast cuisine in their menu and we were happy with the food served to us.
We had a birthday dinner celebration at El Viento. The food was amazing and worth the price. The waiter was also kind enough to suggest the perfect white wine for our celebration. Plus points to the staff who took our photos! Man! He knows how to take good photos and suggest great angles! We didn't expect that but that was an incredible plus!
What I love most about staying in Marco Polo is their staff. From the entrance security to the front desk, the bellman, and the restaurant staff. It may be a small thing for others because people would often nitpick the rooms and food and facilities, etc. But the staff always makes or breaks the stay. For us, this is their main asset and it's always pleasant to stay at Marco Polo with such courteous and helpful staff. We can't wait for our next visit.

I have treated my family at the Marco polo every visit to Cebu. We availed the promo for this last visit which worked out cheaper than most of the other lower class hotels in the city. Breakfasts are incredible with a choice you just can't complete with so many beautiful tasty choices. Chefs are on hand to cook anything you desire. Rooms are spacious and kept very clean by the staff. The pool has to be the best, cleanest I have been in,.. lovely waterfall as well as a bubbling pool and a kids paddling pool. Plenty beds, chairs and cushioned loungers with parasols all around the perimeter. Best part is the cooling breeze gently sweeping up the hillside and over the pool to make swimming and sunbathing a complete pleasure. Lifeguards are so attentive, handing out towels and bar staff serving free cold water or reasonably priced beers. All in all I'd give this hotel at least one visit to see what it feels like to be pampered and respected from check-in to the time you check out. Go on, spoil yourself !!

Hello. After a guest checks out, the room is returned to inventory, processed and cleaned for future lease. As with most hotels, day-use rates may be available in case a guest needs to shower or use a room for a limited time period.
Yes, all restaurants, lounge and bars are open. Blu Bar & Grill is open daily except Sundays. Hai Shin Lou is open daily except Monday. All the rest are open daily. Lobby Lounge has piano music on weekends. Only spa and club floor are not open yet.
