This hotel would be one of the newest in the city. They are still on their soft opening as mentioned on the stand at the lobby.
Actually, we booked for a boutique hotel just across Ayala Center Cebu. However, we are transferred here due to full occupancy from our chosen hotel.
It was already late when we get in. The Front Desk staff are welcoming. Check - in process is quick. It's just that we are not accompanied by someone going to the hotel. We might be get lost. Thank that we are also oriented on a hotel set - up, and we understood the happenings.
The room is cool. The king bed is huge. It may even fit 3 grown - up adults. We also get a pair of slippers. Only one of us used it. They also have 2 lifts which I belived is still manageable.
The morning "construction" noice in the area was my alarm clock. The noice totally bothers our sleep. We just covered our ears with the pillows and went back to sleep. A free late check out was also extended.
Hotel's location is great. It is near the business zone of the city. Taking a cab may test your patience since a few cabs are getting through the drive. Security visibility is also a thing to consider.
Over all, it's a good start.

By the looks of it, it's not the grand hotel that you will be expecting. Their staff are nice. Though it's weird to see your naked glory while taking a shower, the rooms have the basic amenities. Their breakfast isn't that good but what I like most is the availability of potable water along the hallway of every floor. For someone who drinks like a camel like me, this is really practical. It's only a couple of blocks away from Ayala Center and there are public transportations nearby. I recommend this place for those who want to have a good sleep in their vacation.

We live on Cebu in the southern portion of the island. We come to the city monthly to take care of family business and usually spend 2 nights.
We stayed at MJ's Hotel in Feburary and frankly it was not a friendly stay. We arrived around noon to check in and were told the room was ready but there would be a P500 charge for the early check in. There was another couple with us wanting another room. Rather than just walk out we asked for someone in management and a lady came from the offices up stairs. She was very angry we would question the hotel policy and was on the verge of being rude. We have stayed at many hotels and have never been charged anything to check in early. We were, as a matter of principle, getting ready to leave and stay somewhere else when a very nice gentleman asked what the problem was. His name was Mr. Hendrick and he was the hotel manager. He soothed the ruffled feathers and took care of business as it should be. We were given rooms but the front desk gave us the evil eye every time we passed the front desk. Due to Mr. Hendrick's professional actions, we have tried to make reservations at the hotel for April 4th and 5th but have been completely ignored. Apparently the front desk or the lady up stairs doesn't forget... We will find another place to stay and not return to MJ's Hotel...

Located near Cebu Business Park, MJ Hotel and Suites is a good choice among the many hotels sprouting in the area. Room reservation comes with satisfying breakfast buffet. They are still in their soft opening so they seem to still be understaffed. Great room for the rate they are charging.

Rooms and bathroom are clean and well-maintained. Downside there's no cabinet, refrigerator and hair dryer. Breakfast is free though the combination of food options could be improved.
The hotel is strategically located near the Ayala mall (about 5-7 mins). There are also some quirky restaurants near the hotel such as as a Japanese dessert cafe and a Korean restaurant. A massage spa is also a just around the corner, perfect go-to place after a whole day of walking.

Very nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It's located very close to the Ayala Center and walking distance to the "House of Lechon" restaurant. The room was big and clean, with comfortable bed and all the comforts: toiletry, wifi, tv, aircon and safebox. Breakfast was included in the price and it was very nice. I recommend this hotel, fast checkin and checkout.

This is my second time to stay in MJ Hotel & Suites for business. We were able to avail the promo rate of P1900 for a room for 2 with 2 free breakfasts. The hotel is accessible to major establishments including Ayala Center Cebu. The room was very clean. The breakfast had good variety as well. Though, I was disappointed that there were no in-room slippers for guests unlike other hotels. Overall, it is still the perfect hotel for those looking for a great room but not so expensive.
