Our room (executive suite) was very nice with two private balconies although a bit dated. The room needed a second portable air conditioner to keep the common area clean. The check in process was problematic in that we were delayed 30-45 minutes while we were asked to take a seat and have a ‘welcome drink’ and then stood at the check in desk for at least 20 minutes while they did whatever it was they had to do. The most annoying complication was that our check in time was 7:30pm and we were told our room was still not ready so we waited yet another 30 mins.
We went twice to the Ibiza beach club for food and drinks and it was a great experience both times. Staff was great and the Filipino band was outstanding! Breakfast buffet was also outstanding.
For this price range, we probably would not choose this hotel again.

I really needed a break for a few days and this was a stop over after a business trip in Manila be the perfect place to completely unwind.
As I was solo I wanted to make sure it was a one stop shop scenario and certainly this is what it was!
Yoga/Pilates by the beach was a wonderful way to start the day (four days a week it is offered)
Having to choose if I lay by the beach, under the palm trees or by the pool was my decision of the day. You can snorkel in their beach area with beautiful fish starfish and I saw this bright orange sea slug too.
The food choices are ample and delicious. The day spa is to die for. The staff that come around to see if you would like any refreshments was easily accessed but not in your face (Thanks Ariel!) The rooms are comfortable and clean and had a bath. I don’t need anything more than that.
Another added bonus was the beach club which had great music and entertainment. If you like house music then you will love this. It’s just fabulous beats and grooves which is a wonderful way to down the cocktails enjoy the sunset and have a delicious meal.
I really can’t wait to come back. Fabulous value! Thank you for looking after me I just loved it.

I really enjoyed this hotel, it has a nice beach which along with the swimming pool is big enough for all guests. Best of all is the lovely welcome and friendliness of all the staff. In particular Julie of the breakfast staff, as well as Jane, Alva and Beth at the Ibiza club. My stay started well when the reception team changed my room when I requested a slight adjustment to the booking, always a good sign. There’s also a great show at the Ibiza club every night. With a very good spa as well you could happily spend your entire trip in the hotel.

Stayed in December 2019. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating at all times. Would recommend this hotel as a family friendly hotel. Nice sized pool with shallow end for kids. Games room and restaurant situated extremely close to pool so parents can sit by the bar / restaurant area watching the kids. Hotel is kept nice and clean but shows signs of being a slightly older hotel. The bar / beach club has a great nightly performance that I would recommend all guests see. Has a nice relaxed vibe by the beach and grass area. AMAZING snorkeling at the beach.

After flying into Cebu during the covid pandemic I was required to stay at a hotel accredited by the DOH until my PCR test results came back.
Having visited movenpick in the past and always favouring the hospitality they provide, I did not hesitate to stay here again.
A lot has changed during this year, however the 5star customer service has not changed. Every step of the process from leaving the airport to checking out was done with absolute professionalism and with safety at the highest priority.
As I was unable to leave the room during my stay I had my breakfast and dinner delivered to my to me, staff members were incredibly polite and accommodating throughout my stay.
Thank you to all the wonderful staff at movenpick for taking such good care of me during my stay. I look forward to returning in the near future.

The hotel was very crowded during my stay, where the staffs weren't able to provide the service you seek or standard of a hotel that is well known. The variety of food and amenities are good. There are free goodies to snack on in the afternoon and the breakfast is just amazing. I did have trouble though with reimbursing an amount that was charged twice to my account. The level of service was so slow and that is due to the amount of crowd they have at their premises. Going to the city is a pain because of the traffic, so if you tend to be in the city a lot, avoid booking anywhere in Mactan.

We came to the hotel because we had a flight in the evening and needed somewhere for a base for the day. The hotel was incredibly welcoming and gave us access to all the facilities including the pool, beach, restaurant, showers, locker room for 2000PHP each. This amount could be used for drinks and food so very good value, and a beautiful hotel to stay at.
Our server was Dave who was helpful and attentive, would 100% recommend staying here.

We stayed here for a week over the Christmas holidays and had the most wonderful, memorable time.
The location is ideal by being close to the airport. The beach had a lifeguard and the water was so clear for swimming and our room was cleaned perfectly each day. The food and drink were delicious too, with a great selection on offer.
We had organised two snorkelling trips through the hotel and it was an unforgettable experience. The swim locations were so conveniently close and the water was incredible.
The friendly and welcoming staff 100% made our trip. They went above and beyond to meet our needs and were so warm, yet professional while doing it. We were particularly impressed with the birthday cake I had organised for my partner so I thank you again for organising that . We would like to especially thank: Noel, Lester, Gabriel, Dave and Quimquim for providing such kind, exceptional, and attentive service.

This hotel experienced tremendous upheaval during the 2021 typhoon and had been working hard to come back. Of the three towers, about half the rooms are currently being renovated, but surprisingly not at all noisy or inconvenient. Their jewel feature “Ibiza” restaurant was completely destroyed and is currently under construction and scheduled to be reopened in the spring of 2024, leaving the resort a lot quieter than usual.
We were greeted warmly right from the start by the general manager, F&B manager, and all the front-of-the-house staff which continued throughout our stay with much warmth and kindness. The new executive chef Eric Soong personally greeted us personally while dining and we had a wonderful romantic dinner. The breakfast buffet served many fresh dishes with a wide selection (must try the pineapple ham).
The transition was great for a couple like us who are looking for a relaxing beach/pool resort for a few days. Beach and garden are lovely and well maintained with groomed soft white sand. And evenings under the palms with a soft breeze in the garden was perfect.
The location is quite good, there is a ferry port next door for easy island hopping if you choose to go the public transportation route.
Since it’s currently a little quieter, the staff were extremely attentive and we received a lot of personal attention. We were never left wanting for service. Once the full facilities are up and running I’m sure this is going to be a very popular place to go once again. We were lucky to experience it in transition so we enjoyed many amenities without waiting for the long lines. BTW The chocolate hour is a “must” in your itinerary. Overall great value for money and looking forward to visiting again in the future.

The staff were very welcoming and accommodating in a fashion that exceeded most of the other resorts in the area. They prepared a piece of cake in our room with Happy Anniversy wishes on it and a room upgrade. The breakfast buffet had a great selections that varied day to day. The baked goods were very well made by the staff. The beach staff were very helpful and did there best to go out of their way to make our staff enjoyable. The resort had a lot of different activities such as performances at ebiza to moive at night outside under the palm trees.
A very special thanks to Jerry, the front of the house staff manager who was caring and showed a lot of interest in our stay and our daily plans, and Ariel, the beach server who was attentive and did the little things to help us stay on the beach longer. Both of them made our second stay here wonderful and much more memorable than the first time.
