I stayed in this hostel with some friends over a long weekend. We had a private dorm with our own bathroom which was clean and spacious for the price. We were greeted with homemade palinka and friendly staff on many occasions and although we never tried the included breakfast due to hangovers we thought the whole thing was good value....

The rooms are clean and cozy, breakfast is free - what else could you need? They had cable tv in the rooms and the showers are hot. The only downside is the noise, there's a few bars around here and it stays pretty loud at night.

Spent there three nights with the family. Booked a few month earlier and waited for us. The location is very good: in the old city and in a walking distance to most main attractions. The rooms were clean but small ( we were in double bed with bathroom en suite) . The staff very helpful and the breakfast decent. Though...

Its more of a hotel/pension than a youth hostel. The rooms are very clean and modern. The staff is very nice. There are two kitchens, one big and one small that, depending on how much smell your cooking produces you can use. The location is perfect on a small alley a short walk from all the action. There are bars,...

Stayed in double room with private bathroom and skylight, which was way too small for two people! Friendly staff, very clean and surprisingly quiet! Excellent location, bars, restaurants and sites in walking distance. Staff can arrange tours to the surrounding areas, excellent cooking facilities, computers also available to use and free WiFi.

The location of the hostel is great. The breakfast I had was fabulous...so so delicious! We even had fresh watermelon apart from the main breakfast menu. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds are comfy and they smell really fresh! It was very clean. There was a small issue with one of the lights (not working) in one...

Actually folks, I did not stay there -- but even so, Mr. Rado, the manager of Retro Youth Hostel, took his time to map out a sight seeing itinerary for me. What a nice man. I am very impressed that he shared his experience with me, even though all I bought was a mineral water. Regarding the place, it was...

I stayed in a single on the ground floor. The place was reasonably clean and the wifi was faster than anywhere I'd stayed before. Staff were nice too and breakfast was very good. You can choose from a menu and you can have fried eggs, an omlet etc. I had stayed at the Transylvanian hostel before and I thought I'd...

I highly recommend this hostel. The position is optimal: in the very heart of the old town, the most characteristic, beautiful and peaceful place in the city. All the staff members are very nice, welcoming, always ready to share useful information. Jon recommended me a very nice traditional restaurant which is only 10 minutes walk away and it was so...

Great warm friendly hostel! Awesome location close to Unirii. Staff very welcoming and helpful all the time. Had no trouble getting a refund for one night I didn't stay. Clean and peaceful, good WiFi.
