Pros: Staff were great Location is excellent Rooms were cheap Close to Metro Cons: Rooms were loud, with some live music underneath in the evenings and our room was in the loft so you could only stand on one side! All in all - you get what you pay for.

Great location couple of minutes walk from Kitay-Girod Metro station and less than 10 minutes walk to Red Square. Very central and in a characterful area. Good cafe restaurant next door and a great basement club underneath the other side (well worth a visit!). Lively area. The hotel staff are pleasant and efficient. Room spotlessly clean and comfortable. Good value.... More

Moscow is so big, but when you stay in this hotel, you have to do less kilometres. Breakfast is included , so this is very easy. It is only 10 minutes walking to the center. Take enough money to buy Russian souvenirs. And when you have only little money, then you have to try Russina icecream.

We stayed 8 nights here in late June and had a large room but unfortunately in the area over the bar-disco. Friday and Saturday nights it is unbelievably noisy. I understand the rooms on the RH side at the top of the stairs are a lot quieter. The hotel is in a great area, close to a metro, opposite a... More

There is a disco on the ground floor next to the hotel entrance. On weekends it gets quite noisy. Apart from that, if you are looking for a cheap place to stay I would recommend it. Breakfast is basic, the room is clean. The members of the staff speak basic English but they are efficient.

Let me tell you my complete experience at the hotel. Something to considerate if you have big and heavy luggage, the hotel does Not have elevator, the first thing you see at the entrance is a huge (almost) two story stair.. The staff at the check in was friendly, I arrived at 10 am, they made me return until 2... More

At least half the rooms at this hotel are over a bar/band area that was very noisy the nights we were there. They changed us to a room in a different wing and there was not a problem but it would have been awful if that room was not available. It you can guarantee being in the non-noisy wing (... More

Nice place, good rooms, friendly staff that speaks English (except the breakfast girls). The breakfast itself could also have been a little more hartley. But what ever you do don't stay in that beautiful room 101 when thete is a concert in the club below. I guess you should stay clear of all first floor rooms. The 200 and up... More

By the standards of Moscow hotels, this place is really excellent value. The rooms are small, but nicely decorated, and comfortable. The breakfast is tasty, and the staff are helpful and can handle visa registration etc for you. It was a short walk to Red Square, and right next to the metro station, so really easy to get around the... More
