The hotel is quite out dated, but still has an old Russian charm. Nevertheless the prices are good for the very central location of the hotel. Rooms are out dated and too hot, but quiet and satisfying.

I have stayed in Hotel Budapest on several occasions and I will continue to use it. Excellent location-only a 10 minute walk from Lubyanka Square and 15 from Red Square, good prices and friendly staff. It is only a five minute walk from the Sanduny Bathhouse and I would highly recommend a visit to the Sanduny. I would highly recommend...

This hotel was perfect for what I wanted out of a trip to Moscow. I wanted to do all the touristy things in the center of the city but also be able to branch out to the other neighborhoods. Being a 5 minute walk from театральная station and Red Square couldn't make for a better location. The hotel itself was...

This hotel was a fill in hotel whilst we slept off our jet lag from a long haul trip from the land of Oz (Australia) and prior to taking a long train journey to Saint Petersburg. My only disappointment was that we didn't book this hotel for our return 8 day stay in Moscow for the New Year festivities. This...

Really great value hotel this, nothing flash but spotlessly clean, secure and lots of English speaking staff. The room I was in was basic but very comfortable, good bath/shower/toilet very clean. 2 Bars, one lobby one up stairs with a limited selection but more than enough. I wish I'd had the time to try the Russian and Georgian wine on...

I had been at hotel Budapest a few years ago and I was happy to return this year. This place remains one of the best value near the centre of Moscow. It's at a walking distance to so many Moscow iconic places! The hotel itself is old. It's clean but a bit dated. However, it has an authentic feel that...

This is a very serviceable hotel, not luxurious but with the basic amenities one needs - wifi, good breakfast buffet, good cars and drivers to/from stations and local destinations, great restaurants and shops nearby and a fabulous location 10 minutes walk from the Bolshoi and 5 minutes longer to Red Square. The only criticism is of room service - the...

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighbourhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
