Travelling as a single usually means getting the smallest, worst located room but as I was paying for a room in a 4 star (!) through a tour company I thought I might do better. No. Despite paying 75pounds per night I got the little room in the back of the.building overlooking a laneway -which i think they call a...

Location is in the second ring which isn't far from the tourist attractions. Around the hotel there are bars, supermarkets that are in 5 - 10 minutes walk. The hotel is right infront of the moscow river. The room looks recently upgraded and is clean and comfortable. If you get a room in another wing you need to walk up...

Clean rooms, efficient staff, reasonable breakfast (scrambled eggs need a rethink) and a cheap lobby bar but overall it's all a bit dull. Plus points are it's close to Pavletsky station which means Domodedovo airport is easily accessible by train in 45 minutes which is better than 2 hours in Moscow traffic, and there are a few decent places to...

This hotel was picked for us by our travel agent and they did us a great favour. The beds are very comfortable, the hotel is intimate and well placed and the staff are very helpful and luckily speak English rather well. No problem with recommending this hotel.

We had high expectations due to the rating. Our room was in a wing on the first floor. The bathroom was a blast from the past, it had tired white plastic taps and plastic shower head and the floor tiles were cracked. The tiny shower had a flimsy curtain with a shower curtain attached by a thin piece of wire....

Stayed 2 nights, in nice quiet location. Reception large and staff friendly and most speak English. Extra toiletries can be got from reception.Breakfast was included and wide selection of foods, fresh fruit, breads, eggs, meats and pastries, plenty coffee. Room overlooked river, clean with comfortable bed. TV and WIFI. Bathroom clean and toiletries and slippers. Had sauna and jacquizi which...

This hotel is probably not the best in Moscow and has no pretention to become it but it is very functional and nice. The decoration is outdated but the service is efficient and the breakfast is quite good. It is very silent and the district is peaceful.

I only had two nights in Moscow before my tour moved on, bur I very much enjoyed my stay at the Katerina City hotel. My only mild criticism is that it was unclear as to who had access to the restuarant and when. In the evening that was okay, food could be ordered and eaten in the bar, but there...

The hotel is nice, nothing special. The breakfast is nice. I was given a room in the "old wing" and there is no lift. Fortunately I had a very light suitcase with me. The location is nice, along a river / canal. The rooms are quiet. Mine was more small than large, but sufficient for one person one night. I...

Bit of a leap into the unknown when you book a trip to Moscow but following recommendation stayed here. Staff very helpful and speak excellent English. Rooms not huge but more than comfortable for a short break, although beds could be slightly softer! Breakfast buffet style with plenty of choice. Just over a 5 minute walk to nearest metro with...
