Located in a park belonging to a monastery. Quiet and picturesque.About 5 minute walk from metro stop, large shopping mall and restaurants. Metro is one stop from Polyanka -- museums, galleries, Red Square etc. Room was large, well equipped, clean and comfortable, except for old-fashioned TV with tiny screen and only lots of Russian channels. WIFI in the room had...

We were delighted with the hotel-comfortable room, friendly staff who speak perfect English (one especially helpful woman who has lived in NYC), and great breakfasts. The common areas are beautifully decorated and the grounds are lovely and peaceful. A great place to escape to after a busy day being a tourist! I would return in a heartbeat. The hotel is...

This hotel is an oasis of peace in a busy city. Close to the centre of Moscow by metro the hotel is owned by the patriarchate and full of beautiful artworks and iconography. My room, or rather, suite was to the highest modern standards overlooking the Danilov Monastry from which the hotel gets its name. The room was quiet and...

This hotel belongs to the Moscow Patriarcate and is more or less within the premises of the Danilovski Convent (Orthodox). The hotel is well maintained. My room was a bit old-fashioned, especially the furniture, but it was comfortable enough. Nice view on the Monastery. Breakfast is a plus, very good, much choice. And location is convenient, a few minutes walk...

The Danilovskaya is a good business hotel for Moscow - not too expensive, set in a nice park, with a decent breakfast and an on-site bar. Some rooms are better than other ones, but after several stays I have not been able to find a pattern. The "short" walk to the metro mentioned by some other reviewers is of course...

Set in nice grounds but the hotel itself is outdated & in need of modernisation - in particular, the bedrooms require some new furnishings & decoration. My room stank of stale cigarette smoke which was most unpleasant, causing me to have to sleep under the covers. Despite complaining they didn't offer to change my room, altho' the bedrooms were otherwise...

One thing that strikes most guests is how peaceful & dignified the hotel is. The rooms are adequately furnished and clean, the service impeccable and well maintained garden is magnificient. Just a short 10-15 min walk takes you to the Tulskaya metro and other amenities. Breakfast or meals are served in an adjoining block (level 2). The highlight is the...

I staid there many times while in moscow. It is charming in all seasons for those who like quiet & peaceful environment. Rooms are old looking ( soviet type) but very clean. Food at restaurant is OK . Close to metro station (tulkaya) & shopping mall ( erevan center) for more western type of food.
