Barely any English spoken like the rest of country but doesn't excuse them for rudeness and miserable stares they give as you enter and leave. Location is great. It is cheap, but it is nasty motel looking inside and throughout. Bring your own toiletries if you want to feel an extra bit nicer for being alive and human. The bed...

What a nice hotel! It is ultra central. It is very clean. The sheets and the bed gave me one of the best sleeping nights. The personnel, unfortunately, speaks almost no other language. They speak with their smiles and kindness. I like the best IGOR. He spoke a little English. He is a big guy, with a unique kindness. He...

I spent four nights here and for 1500 rubles per night I'm not sure you can beat it for value. I stayed in a single room without window and with shared bathroom. First the good: it was very clean, the room was comfortable, the bathroom worked perfectly well with good hot water, they provide shower gel/shampoo as well as a...

very very clean, very good location, very nicely designed, nice staff. we paid more because the room included a window but eventually the window was out of reach so all we got was early wake-up and no fresh air, so just make sure youre with a reachable window;) very very good value for money.

Had a single room without window (and shared bathroom/shower) for 1500 Rubel per night. For the location, the comfy bed, the cleaningness of the room it is simply great value. Wifi worked steady and fast. Yes, staff does not really speak english but they try hard! Check-in/check-out was smooth. It was quiet in the room, the elevator works fast. Everything...

Mayakovke House (Дом Маяковке) is not exactly a hotel, nor is it an apartment. Rather, it's kind of a combination of the two. There is a front desk which has 24 hour staff, with security in the evening hours. The rooms vary in size - the one I stay(ed) in is fairly small, but very clean and efficient, with a...

Stayed here one night in a room without windows (that's the booking type, so we knew we were getting that). Room in great shape, clean and nice, very happy with our stay. Wi-fi, shower, etc. Staff was pretty friendly as well. Only thing is it's a bit tricky to find the place.

A very good alternative to business hotels in central Moscow such as Holiday Inn or Novotel. Rooms are clean, with solid furnishings. It does not have a gym, pool, room service and the other perks of a large hotel. However it represents far better value. Reception staff tend not to speak English, however I have found them to be efficient...

I ve been in this Hotel twice during one my business trip. The position is fabolous right 4 minutes by the metro station Mayakovskaya. Located in Blagovechensky street (cross with Tverskaya) is comfortable to go everywhere in Moskow. The rooms are nothing special, the heating system is centralized and there is no way to adjust temperature. It is terribly hot...

Staying in Patriarch Ponds

Neighbourhood Profile
Patriarch Ponds
When you need to hide from the city’s noise and traffic but don’t want to stroll too far, Patriarch Ponds is the place to be. Calm water, friendly swans and ducks with beautiful early 20th century architecture in the background make this neighborhood a place you’ll never want to leave. Besides stylish bars and restaurants scattered in the streets around the pond, you’ll be able to enjoy museum life from modern art to a former private apartment of Mikhail Bulgakov. As most of the businesses are open late, stop for a cocktail and then stroll by the pond to rent a boat and row yourself to the middle of the “bowl” as the locals call it.
