It's a hostel located a walking distance from Bolshoi, Kremlin and Red Square. Rooms are average, bathrooms are shares even on family room, so maybe they can get busy at some times. You may get free coffee and there's a kitchen for yourself to prepare your food. There is a market in front of the hostel and it's quite near... More

I wanted to like Safari Hostel. After all, it definitely had a few things going for it. Mainly, I loved the location, just a block or two away from the Sanduny baths and a stone's throw from the Trubnaya metro station. If you use an offline map program like maps.me it is very, very, very easy to find the entrance.... More

Love design of this hostel! Very comfortable, good location. Staff are very kind and helpful. BIG plesure to stay at this cozy place. And the price for Moscow I think is cheap. It's a pity I stayed here just one night, but for sure I'm going to stay here my next trip. And will be better to stay there with... More

I don't want to write this, but I feel like I have to do it to protect my fellow travelers and to help stop the global spread of bed bugs. I checked into the hostel, slept a few hours, and in the early morning noticed a crawling bed bug. Examined the beds with my roommates and found over 15 bed... More

So I turned up expecting to meet people, I soon found out I was in a room with Russian locals who where working in moscow. I can not empathise anymore on the fact that you should not stay here as a traveller. You may have to pay for a more expensive hostel to avoid this situation. The hostel was clean... More

The best hostel I ever stayed in, great location, cosy room (stayed in a 4-bed), very friendly staff, really good value for money! A bit far from the metro station, but central location makes taxi absolutely affordable (especially if you're about to go out for a night and will not be able to get a train after 1am). I will... It was the best hostel we ever stayed in, and we are travelling a lot and have been to a lot of different countries. The director of the hostel is amazing and he helps you whenever you need something. He is doing everything for the hostel and his guests. We celebrated New Year in Moscow. We were offered a lot... Good value for money, all other places in Moscow were a lot more expensive. This hostel has a great location, but is located in the posh shopping street. Very hard to find, because it's located is a very small alley (which was during our stay being renovated). Dimitri, from reception, was helping us and was very friendly. He made us... More

The only good comment about Safari Hostel is the location close to the Red Square and the availability of cooking. - Shower room was ridiculously small, and didn't have any shampoo nor shower gel. - When I already unpacked my luggage, the administrator asked me to change to another room they just disinfected (probably cockroach disinfection) and smelled terrible because... It was not the best or the cleanest hostel I have ever stayed in but it was ok. There was always a line for the toilets and the showers. Also they could be cleaner, as far as I have seen they just have one cleaning lady and I have never seen her do anything other than drinking tea. But since... More

Staying in Tverskaya

Neighbourhood Profile
Tverskaya
Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long street populated with well-known shops and brands. But it’s more than shopping that makes this place interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running parallel to the main artery to discover the charm just behind the mighty Stalinist style architecture. Comfy European pedestrian streets Bolshaya Dmitrovka or Stoleshnikov lane are a great place to start. Locals can be found here working, eating, shopping, resting and going to the Bolshoi Theatre in the evening.
