Stayed there for 5 nights in May 2017. One of the best hotels that I've used - anywhere! Very friendly & helpful staff, comfortable, quiet & well-appointed. Location is very good for major attractions - just a short walk to the hermitage, St Isaacs' Cathedral & Nevsky prospect. For other venues, hotel staff will help you get an inexpensive taxi...

Centrally located, 45 minutes away from Airport , 2 minute from St. Issac Cathedral, 10 min walk to the Hemitage museum and a few minutes to The Church of Spilled Blood. Rooms very spacious and clean, staff makes you feel welcome and the concierge very gracious who attended to all our questions. Vast variety for buffet breakfast- worth the price!

I concur with all the positive aspects noted in recent reviews. Not posh, but entirely comfortable. Very helpful concierges and desk staff. Generous breakfast buffet. Quiet street. Easy walk to principal museums, parks and monuments. Be sure to climb up to the viewing platform at St. Isaac's (almost next door) for panoramic views of St. Petersburg.

Informal, friendly, helpful to strangers in Russia. We especially enjoyed the informal atmosphere. The staff made you feel they were there to serve you and help you enjoy your visit to a degree not often encountered. No pretense, no snobbishness. Our room was spacious, clean and well attended. Breakfast buffet was varied, tasteful and served mostly by young persons, at...

The location of the hotel is very convenient, we did everything walking. Although the hotel is not of the latest style, all rooms are well equipped, have nice baths are sound proof, etc. The concierge service is excellent, too.

Located near St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Renaissance Baltic Hotel is St. Petersburg is within walking distance of the Hermitage Museum, Nevsky Avenue, the Russian Museum, and the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. The staff is extremely helpful, with excellent English-language skills. The concierge was extremely helpful in providing directions and making restaurants suggestions and reservations. The lobby is...

Fabulous hotel in great location so near to St Isaacs, Hermitage, Yosanov Palace, boat tours and other interesting places. As for restaurants, two across the road from hotel are fabulous with the Vodka Museum Room 1 Restaurant just a block a way. They also give you a card to get into the Hermitage without having to wait in the long...

Easy walking distance to St. Isaacs, the Neva and the Hermitage. Comfortable rooms, comprehensive services (fairly large hotel), great location. Stayed three nights. Restaurant seems adequate, but unremarkable (used it mainly for breakfast). A little odd to pass through a metal detector on way in.

My husband and I have traveled quite a bit overseas and stayed in many, many excellent hotels but I have to say that the Renaissance Baltic stands among the best for two reasons - the location to the best tourist sites in St. Petersburg and an excellent, highly responsive staff. I wish I could recall the name of a young...

The location is great. My room was nice, but they really should vacuum the carpet more frequently. The breakfast room had delicious food and breakfast, no windows which makes it dark and a bit dreary, but the staff is friendly and food enjoyable so that makes up for it. There is only one restaurant, which has a bar at the...
