Unfortunately our travel agent put us I. The wrong hotel and we wasn’t meant to stay in this one however the hotel went above and beyond to help us in our hour of need. They changed our room for us to make sure we was comfortable.

Reception manager however is abit rude? Not sure if he was having a bad day.

Front of house manager in the restaurant during breakfast time is very rude. One customer had an argument with him.

The guy that tries omelettes at breakfast is also a bit intimidating. However he makes nice omelettes.

Room service was good.

A staff member called our room every day to see if everything was okay.

Room cleaners are very helpful and nice they even brought me an iPhone adaptor charger.

The hotel also extended our check out time by 2 hours which was really nice to do.

Breakfast is good. Lot of choice.

I recently stayed at madinah Movenpick with my family of 10.
When we checked in we were amazed to find without requesting our rooms on the same floor and intereleading.
The housekeeping was amazing .who would go out of his way to take care of each guest individually to make they stay pleasant

we are grateful to you for your outstanding hospitality.

The Movenpick in Medina is a good hotel located near Jannat Al Baqi. It is inside the ring road on the South Side of the mosque. It is approximately a 4 to 5 minute walk to the masjid.

The hotel itself is in a nice modern building. It is tastefully decorated with a bog lobby and reception area. The rooms themselves are clean and spacious and nicely decorated. We had booked 2 rooms and were upgraded to a suite consisting of two interlinking rooms. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient in particular the porters and the cleaners.
In the local area, there is a complex two buildings along, which has a few eating options. If you cross over the ring road, there is a little market area. There are some Pakistani restaurants here and a little walk further on, there is a little bakery which has some savoury and sweet items.

Firstly I would like to make very clear that there are two Movenpick hotels in Madinah which some reviewers seem to be mixing up! This one is part of the Accor group and the Movenpick Madina that we stayed in. It is BEHIND the Pullman Zamzam Madinah, which faces one side of the Masjid al Nabawi haram. So it is a couple of roads walk away from the haram on the opposite side to the female entrances to the haram.
This is nowhere near five star standard. Due to the poor condition of the bathrooms and room decor I would say three is being generous. Despite its attractive entrance and reception this is a rundown hotel in need of refurbishment, in particular the disgusting bathrooms. The bath, sinks and tiles were old, stained and mouldy. This was made worse by the fact that the housekeeping was very poor. The rooms weren’t cleaned and towels not changed unless we requested this.
The actual rooms were ok despite the tired looking furnishings and lack of cleaning. The receptionist who checked us in apologised for not giving us adjacent rooms, but we discovered we did have adjacent rooms, and both were triple rooms. The rooms were quite spacious with comfortable generous sized beds but the TVs had very poor reception and the wifi was appalling, regularly dropping out. The fridges in the rooms were tiny and barely cold. In fact they and the lights turned off whenever we took the key cards out! Because of the hotel location the view out of the window was depressing, a view of the main road. A nice touch though was that as well as a Quran there was a nice prayer mat in each room.
On our first morning we went down to breakfast to discover that the female staff had already let some guests have breakfast for our rooms. The head of staff quickly resolved this apologising profusely. In fact apart from this confusion on the first day we found the restaurant staff to be very nice people. They always had a smile for us and the waiters always ready to assist. We were very very disappointed with the very limited cooked breakfast items - there was barely any variety and apart from on one day only vegetarian options. The pancakes were disgusting and tasted like long life ones from packets rather than freshly made. Very very disappointing. But the worst was that there was no fresh coffee!! Only sachets of instant coffee. How is this possible in a so called five star restaurant? There was a big unhealthy selection of pastries though. And the strawberry juice when available was nice.
We tried to order room service in the evening on one occasion- the staff member (chef?) who answered the call was rude and told us some of the items were either unavailable or incorrectly described on the menu!
On the whole staying at this hotel was a major inconvenience due to its location and at best it is a three star hotel. I would not stay here again.

Room was outdated but it is big. Bath room was a real disaster, dust was everywhere, like if the bathroom was not cleaned for an over a month, we found some long hair in the sink, the surprise that there was a small remnant of turd on the ground!!! The shower cabinet was too old was some black scratches on the ground, for the first time I didn't have my morning shower because of the cleanliness of the shower place!
At 1:30 AM my room door bill ringed twice, I woke up terrified, when I opened the door I found the porter was the bags trolley asking me to come in!! I told him that he is wrong, so he answered that they told me about your room number.
The breakfast buffet is average, bakery is good, service is good but the food was deeply below Movenpick quality, also the restaurant tools was not that clean like they have to be.
It was literally a miserable experience which will make me think many times before accommodating in Movenpick.

It is a great place to stay. Affordable, good location, good food and pool. The staff at the Senate restaurant’s are amazing. They remembered me from my first day and how I liked my coffee and made sure I got it all the time. The food is really, really good and a good variety. The staff at the pool were also very accommodating. When you ask for something you generally get it very quick. Housekeeping is also helpful but preferable for you to be there or specific exactly what you need done too. Overall, really liked it and would book here again when I come back.

Loved the hospitality by the hotel staff, especially the manager. they made up for the inconvenience we faced in locating the hotel through Google maps (for not a fault of theirs). On explaining our ordeal, the first thing we heard from the manager was - the well known phrase “Everything will be fine from here on, you are now in Madinah!” The hotel manager was thoroughly professional and very welcoming, We received a free upgrade to one of the best 1 bedroom suites the hotel had to offer and our check-out was extended to way beyond the latest cut-off time. Our kids even received special exclusive sweet treats on our way out. I would definitely recommend to all primarily for the value attached to the sheer human factor and the true essence and the reflection of the people of the city of our beloved Prophet (P.B.U.H.)

We stayed for 3 nights and chose the ambassador suite. We are a family of 4. The breakfast was decent. The room size was exactly what I was looking for and spacious but the reason I would not give it a 5 star review is because the hotel is very outdated as most reviewers have stated. It needs a major overhaul. The curtains, sofas, tables, TVs etc. Everything is over used and needs to change. The major issue that I had was the wifi for guests. It was completely atrocious because in todays day and age giving 0.2 mbps speed is pathetic. Overall if your stay and objective is to just sleep and not use wifi or look at dusty corners or rusty dustbins or mold in few corners of the bathroom then go ahead. The bathrooms had little mold and rust which does not make it ok for the eyes to see.
The major positives are that its close to masjid nabwi and access is easy. Room is big if you choose ambassador and breakfast is nice. Staff is polite and accomodating. The staff helps when they can and helpless in stuff like wifi. I would love to stay here again if they refurbish the hotel and have better attention to detail like any good 5 star hotel.

During our visit to Madinah we chose this hotel and due to covid restriction we were worried how things would be. The staff were amazing and very informative. Even with covid regulations in place the hotel ran very smoothly and was very well maintained. Customer service was top ratings 11/10 overachieved in their care towards us. we couldn’t have been more pleased with the amazing service we received. The hotel was amazing and comfortable. This is the best hotel we have stayed in during our stay at Madinah and would in shaa Allaah re-book here if Allaah wills for us to visit again. The food is amazing at the hotel you will not be displeased, there is a buffet breakfast service available. There is a variety to choose from at their buffet. A gentleman called Nasir or my apologies if I have spelt or said it wrong was very helpful throughout our stay who guided us with the use of the app and bookings we were very new to the app and bookings as I am sure others will be when visiting but rest assured this hotel provides confidence with their stay and visit within the period that someone will be residing there. You will always find someone who is willing to come forward to help from our experience. Thank you for making our covid season visit to Madinah so amazing and for being so kind. We hope to come and stay again soon in shaa Allaah.

Having stayed at all the 5 star hotels in the vacinity I can confirm the most important benefit of this hotel is the speed of lifts (especially important at busy Salah times) and few mins walk to Haram. Some hotels may appear closer but lifts take so long when busy. I especially liked the service from reception staff who take full ownership (and upgraded me to a huge suite as well as early checkin). Hamaad and Barkaat were amazing at breakfast. The staff here make it a 5 star for me. Its also a great place to explore newly rebuilt Masjid Bilal and family shopping/play areas. BIG 👍.
