location is good, very close to the river. Two dim sum restaurants near by. Better speak Chinese otherwise do not expect anything easy. Price is OK but no window for cheap room. many people smoke. Just an average Chinese hotel. Warning: the map attached to the website shows a wrong location. Real subway station: Yide lu, then go south by...

We booked a room for 2 nights at this hotel. It is quite cheap. Located just beside Pearl River, it is recommended that you take a taxi from nearest subway station which is Yuxieu. Not far from the hotel is a man made Shamian Island. The room is quite spacious, clean and neat. For Muslim, there is a Halal restaurant...

booked this place as its fairly central and a good price. Room had no windows, staff were not helpful and the place just felt generally unwelcoming. Felt kind of sleezy. Would definitely stay elsewhere if I'm ever in guangzhou again, would probably go a little further out and commute rather than stay here.

I have booked INR 1350 for no window standard room. Actually I arrived at morning 10 clock and they told me to wait because all rooms were booked. So early check option is not available and mean time some person checkout the room and i got in half hour. Room was ok but with out window it is not fresh.

XiDiWan is a basic hotel, the staff are polite and helpful but only one can speak English at Reception. After 48 hrs of having to ask for hot water to be turned on, I read the riot act and pointed out that there were many things missing in the room which were advertised. Our room had no tub, no refrigerator,...

I stayed in Jan 2013. 1. Room is average.. 2. Bathroom amenities was not replenished during house-keeping. 3. Bed was hard.. 4. Good location, wholesale market is within walking distance. 5. Food is easily accessible. 6. Nice view (at night) along the river. 7. 15 mins to metro. 8. Wifi is fast. There's nothing much to complain compared to price...

The hotel is near the river, but not on the bund, on a parallel street. From the metro it is 10-15 minutes to go. Search for the hotel "Venice" two entries from this one. The bathroom has pieces of soap, toothpaste and brushes. TV channels showed only in Chinese. There is no breakfast. Not far away is the Roman Catholic...

I returned to XDW after my previous stay in March 09. The hotel facilities have not changed, everything is as before and the walk in rate of 118 is maintained. Mix of local Chinese and Asian visitors, mainly for wholesale market. Located behind the iconic landmark of Aiqun Hotel of Guangzhou. I use this hotel, as a tourist due to...

“Walk in directly to get the best rate without "taxes". When booking, do not be fooled with advertisements in booking websites for "Special-No Window". This category does not exist and is not recognised by the hotel. All no window rooms are Standard, it is not necessary to pay extra 20 (138 rmb) for special rooms as advertised by some booking websites. Avoid room #20.”
