Friendly and helpful staff and Great Location!
The hotel located next to Taiko Hui and best location as it connected to Taiko Hui shopping mall.
We arrived early at around 12pm, at first we afraid room will not be ready which we had backup plan but Dylan assists us to check in, his professionalism and helpfulness gave my friend and myself feel like we are VIP :)
Room is ready and we can chill out a bit in the room before heading for our lunch!
breakfast staff also very friendly and attentive, special thanks to Rene the restaurant manager, she talks to us every morning when seeing us dinning there, very engaging and friendly.
Housekeeping staff also very attentive and helpful, he notice my friend like Earl Grey so much and add extra when he service the room, sorry forgot his name. in room 2017.
Overall very good getaway and relax trip. just a short weekend away from Macau!

Let me first off start my saying I’m a bit of a princess and I know how difficult it is to train Chinese staff. As an expat that has lived here for thirteen years I am accustomed to horrible and unfriendly service. Not here. The service was amazing! The French toast at breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. The Pool and gym was maintained well. The room itself was so comfortable and I slept like a baby.

Everything was so great that I literally had to call the front desk and let them know how good they were doing.

This place is managed EXTREMELY well. Really.. keep up the great work. Super impressed.

MO Guangzhou is a surprise. First impression was great with staff quickly recognizing me as Cantonese speaking and switched from mandarin to Cantonese immediately. The ambient of the hotel/ lobby general is great.

The room is spacious. Loved the water pressure from the shower and the atelier cologne shampoo and shower gel. The few housekeeping young ladies are sensational (unfortunately I didn’t get their names otherwise I will list them all here). Very thoughtful, helping me setting the laundry hanger and iron board due to my long stay.
And great attention to details, for example remembering my tea and fruit preferences and provided extra for my favourite, helping to tie up all sort of charging cables, providing mouse pad for my work station (something never been done in pennisula, rosewood, Conrad, ritz Carlton and st Regis) etc. it just feel like I’m being taken care of.

Great effort in sustainability for providing glass bottle water.

Gym is great with a yoga room. Pool is outdoor, finally can enjoy some sunshine vs indoor pool

The only downside is the road traffic is extremely bad around the area.

This service level should be a benchmark for other 5-star hotel and MO Guangzhou should be proud of your staff !

The room was very comfortable and the layout was very humane. I passed a room door and looked at the lovely stool. I loved it! The reception is low-key and luxurious, and the little sister at the front desk speaks softly and warmly. Very like room service sister, cleaning in place and kind greeting my children, heard that I have a cold also voluntarily added more paper and water to me, heard that the children love to swim sister also added bath towels and bathrobes; the two boys who came to the extra bed were also enthusiastic, voluntarily met my request for the location of the extra bed, moved some of the room furniture, more considerately gave me increased room use of toiletries, towels, slippers. The little brother at the restaurant was great too! Young, in particular, also Recommended some local food and Attractions. This is really a magical hotel, a wow stay, everyone is so warm, knows astronomical geography, great!

I had a wonderful night at Ebony celebrating my birthday. Although I was there alone, the Ebony staff made me feel warm and delighted. Quiet environment, high-quality food as well as considerate service made the whole evening unforgettable. What impressed me most was the sirloin served in medium rare. The meat was fresh and tender in texture. The macaron was for free, and the manager also gave me a petite bottle of rose gin wine as a birthday gift, which was soooo sweet.
Hereby I’d Like to thank Nicholas, Renee and Susan for being quite helpful.
Can’t wait to visit again shortly after Covid-19 is fully under control.

For a very poor Hotel, you can book a Saturday room through FHR. At the same price, China's Hotel reseller can directly book an executive suite. The consumption limit can only use spa, and the doorman doesn't recognize his face. The overall service doesn't deserve to be called mo. compared with Guangzhou pH and Ritz Carlton, it's much worse.

The Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. I always tell myself I'll write a review after staying at a property but always get lazy and not do it. But I was so impressed by MO Guangzhou that here I am, writing my review.

As soon as we arrived on property, Stin from the front desk met us by the car and ushered us to our room and let us know that don't worry about our luggage, they will be brought up to our room. She helped us complete check-in in the room and gave us a tour of the room. This was greatly appreciated since we were so tired and delirious after traveling for 24 hours from the states. We were upgraded from a Deluxe room to a Mandarin room because we booked it through Amex, and the room was large and beautiful. The bathroom had a really fancy bidet and they provided a Dyson hairdryer in room.

The hotel is connected to the Taikoo mall and is across the street from another mall, so there were many dining options really close by. We had multiple meals at the mall (the noodle place and the sushi place) and they were really yummy. There are also bakeries and dessert places in the mall so it was great that we could get a snack easily whenever we wanted.

The hotel is also in a great location in Tianhe, the metro station was only a 5 minute walk and we could call Didi (Chinese Uber) easily to the hotel since it has a dedicated roundabout area for cars to come in.

The service was great throughout our stay, including the staff at the restaurant and the staff at the front desk. Whenever we ran into Stin who checked us in, she was so warm and friendly, and made sure we were happy and taken care of. She even proactively helped us tell our Didi driver that our schedule was tight because we left a little late for the train station when we were leaving.

We were bummed that we stayed in Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou as the first hotel of our trip, as none of the other properties we stayed in other cities (another MO property, Rosewood, Regent) quite measured up to it. We will definitely stay in MO Guangzhou again when we go back.

The hotel is not the newest and everything is well maintained and clean.

The reception was very welcoming and informative, promoting shuttle service for us on the departure date.

During the service, the Housekeeping was attentive and attention to details, nicely set out toiletries and acknowledged our preferred side. Knowing we are traveling with our young kids and extra water was provided without asking.

We went to the swimming pool and my son was on barefoot, The Spa reception was promptly provided with a pair of slippers and seeing my daughter was a bit jealous and he prepared another pair for my daughter. Very thoughtful thank you!

Overall our stay was enjoyable and we will definitely choose MOGZ next time when we are visiting GZ.

This was my family's 6th visit in the last 10 months. We value the MO and recommend frequently to friends and professional colleagues due to the outstanding quality of all aspects, including, facilities, food (standard is way above any other GZ hotel), service (this stands out as our single highest reason for our return visits). My family and I are treated with respect, care and staff always come across as professional and compassionate. My children, who are 13 & 15, feel comfortable and looked after by the MO GZ staff.
The club lounge is our preferred area for stay booking due to the exceptional staff who work in that area. I have frequently brought with me between 3-8 other bookings and this is due to the high standards. I would stay at no other GZ hotel now (and we've tried!).
My family and I are leaving China in July, but we hope to have one last stay before we depart.

Booking the Club Lounge level gives you access to an internet connection. The reason to book the Club Level is for the Lounge itself. There's a private chef for breakfast and dinner. There's plenty of food for a full dinner; the Chef will cook as much as you want. There's plenty of wine and alcohol ( as much as you want) and good quality. I didn't notice beer- I don't drink it. The Club Level is a 6 Star experience- book it.
