Sheraton Guilin Hotel is ideally located on the west bank of the Li River as well as situated right in downtown area. The Zhengyang walking street and the popular snack street are only steps away. The hotel’s geographical location is richly endowed by nature with the beautiful Elephant Trunk and Fubo Hill around, fully equipped by the hotel and surroundings’ facilities. The train station and bus station are only 4 kilometers away. To the Liangjiang International Airport takes 40 minutes by car.

The hotel is located in the perfect spot which is within walking distance to the market, Sun and moon pagodas and the Elephant hill. There are many cafes close by and the street food is so good. The hotel room catered for 3 adults to share one room and they kindly put in an extra bed which was really comfy. The hotel room is clean, the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The shower has great water pressure and bathroom is very clean. The front desk people are friendly, helpful and extremely efficient. The lovely concierge always greeted us as we walked in and out of the hotel. The breakfast was good and it had a variety of western and traditional Guilin noodles, as well as a range of Chinese breakfast. It’s the second time I’ve stayed at Sheraton in Guilin and I would do so again!

Certainly, but slowly, the colour of the logo on the hotel is fading. The atrium in the lobby is about the last part that gives the hotel a bit of grandeur feeling. The rooms compared to all other rooms that we have stayed in during our travels in China are small, smelly, and outdated. The matrasesses are in desperate need of replacement. And the putty work in the bathroom needs some renewal as well. So, then why did we choose to stay an additional night. Well, we also did for sure, did not hate the place. There is a lovely nice hughe pool. Located perfectly next to the river and the food street. But most of all, because the majority of the hotel employees are kind, friendly, and very much willing to do whatever is in their power to make you feel comfortable and not give up on them. To me, to us, it is the staff that gives soul to a hotel, and the staff at the Sheraton in Guilin do all they can to make you feel good and look beyond all the points of improvement. A special thank you is in place for the kind ladies of the Sheraton Club lounge. And also to, it seemed to us as, the new lady front office employee. That handled our check-in and answered all our guestions and made us feel welcome. The breakfast restaurant located on the second floor looks like it was renovated not so long ago. Hopefully, the rest of the hotel will follow soon. Because for sure the staff deserves a more beautiful place to show their efforts to the guests that are coming there to enjoy the beautiful city of Guilin. If we ever travel back to this city, we for sure will give it another try in the hope the hotel has gone over a full refurbishment. Till we meet again

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Sheraton hotel in Guilin. The location, right by the river, offered stunning views of the mountains and an enchanting light show. The nearby walking street provided plenty of dining options, catering to both Chinese and Western tastes.
Our room was comfortable, with a cozy bed and modern amenities. The gym was well-equipped, and although the swimming pool was lovely, the water was a bit chilly. The hotel staff were exceptional—fast check-in, a room upgrade, and a thoughtful fruit bag for our onward journey.
Overall, a delightful experience in Guilin!

We stayed here for 3 nights with young kids. The hotel staff was very kind and attentive. We felt sorry for them as it's clear that Covid has decimated the tourism industry in Guilin. There were a handful of guests besides us in this centrally located hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. However they did not have the AC working during our stay. Something about the time of year/some guests being cold. They assured us it would be cool at night and we could open the tiny window. They did provide very loud portable fans. But it wasn't that cool - not having AC was a real issue and some in our party did not sleep well for days. The pool is huge and deep - be sure to bring a swim cap for hair (a Chinese thing everywhere you go). The happy hour was very nice and enjoyed by the kids (snacks and sodas) and the adults (wine). Breakfast buffet was varied and again, definitely a highlight for the kids. Would recommend but call and ask about the AC.

The hotel is centrally air-conditioned, so it is not safe due to COVID. It is a pity that it does not meet your requirements. This year, the hotel plans to install single air conditioning on the room, so that guests can adjust the cold and hot mode and temperature according to their body sense and safer, so as to provide more personalized service and alleviate the problems that central air conditioning can't solve. Sheraton is actually the only international five-star hotel in downtown Guilin and it is a solid choice. Location is simply unbeatable with all major attractions within walking distance. There are also some nice restaurants around. Staff is warm and welcoming, especially housekeeping. The room is neat and clean. Price is pretty good for the quality. This will be my unparalleled choice in Guilin.

1: The hotel staff demonstrated limited proficiency in English, which made communication challenging and hindered the overall service experience.
2: Although some rooms have been renovated, the hotel, which is over 30 years old, still exhibits outdated decor. Additionally, the bathrooms in the rooms had unpleasant odors, despite the renovations.
3: Upon arrival, my family and I experienced a prolonged wait of approximately 5 minutes without any acknowledgment from the staff, who did not appear to be occupied with other tasks. It was only after I mentioned my Gold Member status that the check-in process was expedited.
Given these issues, I feel that the hotel's current standard does not align with the 4/5 star rating advertised.

Centrally located by the riverfront and within a short walking distance to the pedestrian street and Elephant Trunk Hill, the hotel is an institution, having been around for quite a long time but renovated. The room is clean, looks smart, and has a large bathroom with both shower and tub as well as a sofa with a circular desk. I was luckily upgraded to a river-view room but from my low floor window, I was really looking at the trees instead. Staff are friendly and professional.

One of the few choices of international hotel, very good location by the river. Rooms in decent condition. Only unpleasant surprise is the WiFi is so slow, can’t send email can’t conduct speed test. Not Marriot Bonvoy standard , even for China.

During our visit to China Guilin, We stayed in Sheraton hotel.Most impressive part of my stay was the service. Everybody is extremely polite and you are always greeted by a hotel staff whenever you walk past them in the hallways. Overall, it was truly a 5 star experience.

My friend and I arrived in Guilin on Monday 9th August. Underwhelmed with the numerous hotels promising great views of Yangshuo Mountain and great facilities. We originally had booked to go to a well-known brand in the region - even received an email confirmation, however, it was clear they did not want us in their hotel (despite being the most expensive in Guilin) and started making excuses as to why so rather than allow them to interfere with my holiday and . As I have used Sheraton and Marriot in the US and Dubai, I know what to expect and was glad that we booked this hotel.
The front desk staff upon arrival were friendly, professional and very welcoming. They checked us in quickly once our green codes where shown. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable and mould-free. Despite being told that the hotel was under renovation and as such, we may hear noise in the main areas from 9-6; this was minimal and did not affect our stay at all. In fact, most of the noise we heard came directly from the room next to us due to the children and mother constantly screaming and shouting.
Our room was cleaned daily , with extra water, towels, and toilettries left (we appreciated this). The hotel garden, which was behind our room has a nice water feature which was both peaceful and calming. The breakfast on offer, was fresh, made to order and always arrived hot with the extras that we requested (watermelon juice, honey, etc).
The gym has a range of equipment (no leg press or vibration machine), the swimming pool is clean and a good size and the sauna (which was used daily) topped off a great stay.
The hotels location is fantastic - six minutes walk to Sun and Moon Pagoda, eight minutes walk to Elephant Hill Scenic Area (Exit 2). The cobbled street area is less than three minutes walk and its a 15 minute Didi ride to Yanshuo Mountain Scenic area; its also a 30 minute Didi ride to Daxu Ancient Town so save yourself time and money and book this hotel as a great base for all the Guilin attractions.
Special thanks to Anka in the restaurant for your wonderful hospitality and service - Ni Zheng Bang! Thank you also to all Ayi's and Shifu's who kept the hotel clean and comfortable and who were very friendly.
Although it is doubtful that I will return to Guilin, I will ensure that all my friends and colleagues know about this hotel.
