Attended a conference held at this hotel. Stayed there for 4 nights in May. The hotel is located near one of the entrances of West Lake. If you are looking at easy access to the Lake, then it is literally a stone's throw away. Otherwise, it is about 5 km or thereabout to the Hangzhou Xin Tian Di, an enclave... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights during our recent visit to Hangzhou. The rooms are spacious but in need of modernisation. The toilet blocked several times during our visit. Weekends are noisy with raucous wedding celebrations and accompanying karaoke sessions. Didn't go on too late at least! The breakfast is typically Chinese with limited Western options. Fruit juice more... More

Very scenic walks adjacent to the hotel. Rooms badly in need of refurbishment- peeling paint, tiles missing in shower (holes plugged with wood) but spacious enough. Food OK but fairly repetitive day-to-day. Hard to find staff with even passable English

We had book 2 rooms in Chinese New Year period as RMB588 is really expensive price especially with the awful service and TERRIBLE breakfast! There are still some unknown hair may left by the earlier customers and I don't know the egg or the sausage make me sick at morning! Ugh! Still feel uncomfortable now and never choose this hotel!

The hotel appears a bit down at the heel - maybe because of the ravages of the constant humidity, and it is a bit old fashioned but the rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable and the staff helpful and patient with non Chinese speakers. The location is great - just across the road from the beautiful West Lake. The food... More

This was the hotel recommended for a scientific workshop. The first impression was it was at a great location, close to the park. That is where it ended. The place reminds me of an old age home in desperate need of some paintwork. It was a SPA but there was no pool or other gym facilities. Our room was spacious... More

Came to the hotel for a two-week course, so got to know the place rather well. The building is spacious and nice, but overall in need of some maintenance. The bedroom is large, I got a nice kingsize bed, and there is TV (with CNN), wardrobe, desk, chair. The bathroom is good, clean, fully functional. Hot water is plenty, good... More

We stayed in this hotel because of it's good review in tripadvisor. But I seriously doubt the other reviews are from their employees after our stay. The place was just a run-down and disappointing. The room was old and smelly, with two lamps broken, some used bandages left in room. We called the front desk about the smoking smell, and... More

We booked a room for 4 and reserved an extra bed but when we arrived, it was not available. When the bed finally arrived, there were not even sheets or blankets as they said they ran out. It was atrocious. We waited some more and finally got a flimsy sheet for a blanket. No hairdryer and we had to wait... More

We book 2 lake view rooms, but there were no lake view. Bushes had grown and blocked the once view of one tiny end of the West Lake. I tried at the end of the corridor and still no lake view. My conclusion, there is no lake view room in this hotel, at best I will describe it as hill... More
