With this budget I can get a ryokan 5mins away from here and more spacious room. Toilet is really small, just a toilet bowl in there and nothing else can fit. We travel with 2 kids, the room only can fit 4 futons and a table but nothing else, having problem of where to put our luggages. During our stay,...

Its very close to Kyoto station, and can accommodate about 3 persons maximum in the room Little bit expensive about 5000-6000 yen / day / person. This is Japanese ryokan has good public bath in basement. If you are travelling with family and kids, you may not relish this place as no attached bathrooms to take bath. However toilets are...

I booked this hotel for my family (parents, sister, brother, my 2-year old son, and myself) on one Saturday because I couldn't find any other hotel that could accomodate all 6 of us in one room on that day. This hotel is conveniently located, very close to Kyoto station and a number of convenient stores near the hotel, as well...

There are not that many reviews on this hotel out there. I thought of giving a review on this hotel to inform travelers of the real deal on this hotel. We stayed here on the second week of November. We booked the hotel four months prior to our arrival in Kyoto. At that time, hotels were already running out. As...

I had a big room, not at a Hilton level but i couldn't complain. It didn't come cheap as for 2 nights i spent 15000yen, my most expensive stay in japan. However i reccomand it. 2 minutes away by walk from the station, 10-15 minutes by bus to gion.

Our first experience of Japanese ryokan was special here, in this gorgeous side street just near the station. The rooms very clean and well presented and the staff were really helpful with maps and directions, even though we didn't speak Japanese. They were really nice to the kids. Right in the middle of town, close to all kinds of shopping...

If your looking for a traditional Japanese experience, without the matching price tag then this is the hotel for you. The location is perfect. Just across from the main Kyoto Station, if your doing day trips it is ideal. Also lots of shops and dining options on the street and in the underground malls. Very friendly staff during check at...

2 minutes from train station (previous entry) only if you obey the cross-walk lights (like the citizens do). It's literally across the street but 1/4 block down an alley so it's quiet even though the main thoroughfare goes right by. As a result, not much for scenery. The rooms are traditional ryoko which I think everyone needs to try at...

Looking for a Ryokan/tatami experience with quality service, strategic location and more economical price - this is the best place!! The ryokan is only 2 minutes away from the main Kyoto station, conveniently walking distance to the Kyoto station where the local bus station are located as well. Getting around Kyoto is so easy with a daily bus pass of...

We had a very clean privat japanese style room for two and liked it a lot. Was very close to train station but still very quiet area and had some very good restaurants near by. Normally bath with tube split by gender but if not so many bookings, you can use the bath with partner and close door. Only inconvinient...
