The staff here were really friendly and helpful. The hotel is also really near the station (although we got slightly lost when we arrived - if you walk more than five minutes away from the station to get here you're lost too!). We chose a Japanese style room and stayed for 4 nights. The room photographed was the smaller room...

This hotel was our saviour from the horrors of Tani House. It is located within 5 mins of the train station in kyoto, but is difficult to find as you have to walk down the entrance of a car park to find it. The hotel was clean tidy and full of the usual amenites that you expect to find, such...

While staying in Tokyo with friends we decided to travel down and do a one night stay to see something of Kyoto. We are older than the average guest at this hotel (early 50's) but wanted to try the traditional Japanese experience on a low budget. The bathroom and bedroom were clean, the service was great - bags left at...

We booked the hotel for our stay in Kyoto on our honeymoon in October 2006. We saw that it had pretty good reviews on TripAdvisor so we thought we'd give it a shot. Like one reviewer said, it is kind of tucked in an alleyway and is hard to find - once we found it, we couldn't believe how incredibly...

We stayed at Kyoto White Hotel for a long weekend. We are Americans who live in Northern Japan. We have a family consisting of my husband, myself and our two kids, ages 12 and 10. We wanted a decent hotel, we chose Ryokan to experience Japanese style, but not spend a bundle of Yen. Kyoto White Hotel was just the...

The best thing about the hotel is that it's just 3 mins walk from Kyoto station. If you're planning to make Kyoto your base for exploring nearby regions like Nara, Osaka,Kobe, Himeji etc., this place will be ideal since it's near the train and bus station. Finding it might be a problem, though. Walk to the street across the bus...

I was a little nervous booking this hotel because I couldn't find a lot of information on it. We stayed there three nights at the end of May and it was great. The location was perfect, just a two minute walk to Kyoto station. It was great to be able to stop at the hotel for a break between day...

The Kyoto White Hotel provides the basics at an affordable price. Double occupancy cost about $80 USD a night. The hotel has both Western style and Japanese style rooms (We stayed in the Japanese style and enjoyed the experience). Robes and tiny towels were provided. We reccommend you bring your own bath towel. Shoes need to be left at the...
