We stayed there for 4 nights. The rooms were large and comfort. Room's amenities were very good. Breakfast was fantastic. The staff, as at all the hotels we stayed in Japan, was at a very high level of service. It took less than 3 minutes from asking something from the guest's service office, until someone nocked on the door. I...

What's great about this hotel is that its near everything. The trip from the JR station to the hotel took 5-10mins by cab and was about 800 yen. Cabbing from the hotel to downtown and Gion ( they are beside each other) was about 800 yen too. The metro train station was a 10min walk from the hotel. The rooms...

Stayed there for two nights. Hotel is across from the National museum but a bit out of the way from Kyoto main station, a bit inconvenient especially if you planned to travel to different cities. Room is as per normal Hyatt standard but huge compared to the Japanese standard. Nothing spectacular, underground gym feels a little claustrophobic. Overall a pleasant...

We stayed at the Hyatt the first night after our flight from the US. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Easy to reach, hotel was a peaceful haven and the room very comfortable. The food was delicious, especially the breakfast. The staff was very attentive and impressively bilingual. What wonderful beginning to a great vacation.

We spent a weekend here to do a whirlwind tour of shrines and temples. The manager, Ken Yokoyama, could not have been more solicitous. He greeted us warmly, offered his help and came through with brochures and maps of the area. The facility was beautiful and spotless, from all public areas to the guest rooms. The breakfast buffet was incredible,...

I stayed in the hotel for a work function with 120 of my colleagues and was incredibly impressed. The staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast spread is expansive and the rooms are well appointed. The safe has a power outlet within it which means you can charge your devices while they are...

We stayed here for 5 nights as tourists. It's very near the national museum and a few temples, and within 20 minute walk of many others including the Gion. 5 minute taxi ride from Kyoto station. The hotel is elegant - modern - Japanese, beautiful lobby. Breakfast in the lobby restaurant was great. Service is excellent all around. 5 *...

Had an enjoyable stay here. Enjoyed the bakery/cafe a but too much :) which had a wide range of delicious treats. The rooms were well designed and cozy, service was excellent and concierge good at recommending and booking fine restaurants in gion where mainly locals enjoy. Location wise it's not too far from Gion however a bit of a distance...
