Southern Kyoto
Southern Kyoto has a reserved air. Though the Fushimi Inari Shrine is one of Kyoto's major tourist attractions, the surrounding nature, parks, gardens, temples, and shrines provide less-visited spaces for strolling and reflection. The Fushimi Inari Shrine itself is made up of 32,000 sub-shrines, and the mountain they are dotted across beckons hikers, picnickers, and lovers of the outdoors. Many of the mountain's off-set paths aren't frequented by tourists, and the mountain's serenity can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Southern Kyoto is the place to enjoy being outside, and to pay your respects to the ancient architecture and gods of the land that are celebrated here.

I have stayed here with friends and also with my husband. It’s a 500m stroll from the Hachijo exit ( Shinkansen side) of Kyoto Station. It’s a fairly basic hotel but it has everything you need as a traveller.
Washing facilities are on the ground floor, there’s a small onsen for b

Located in walking distance (10 minutes) from the Kyoto Station's Hachijo Exit. Otherwise this hotel is not in the vicinity of any major tourist sights in Kyoto. The room charge is reasonable according to local level, but be prepared to spend lots of time and/or money on walking

The hotel is ten minutes from Kyoto Station.
The rooms are standard mid-range accommodation but the staff are excellent. They were really helpful during our stay.
The breakfast buffet is plentiful and is a good mix of Japanese and western food.

What is the nearest JR station to the hotel? Is it within walking distance? What is other nearest subway/bus station? I'll be travelling with JR Pass and go for round trip from Kyoto to Osaka. Will it be convenient for me to stay at the hotel with this plan?
Very convenient location... a pleasant 8-10 minute walk from the main wonderful Kyoto rain station. Plus the bus stop outside the hotel for transport.

Hi, may I know what is the opening hour of the hotel onsen ? It is a naked bath or can wear a swimsuit ? Thank you.
do they have Takuhaibin service? we are comming from Tokyo and would like to get our large luggage sent their instead of having carry it.
Hi! A pair of questions... -In The hotel there washing machines? if so, they are easy to use? 'The onsen is public? the protocol to be followed is the typical or there is different to be mixed? you should go with swimsuit etc? Thank you very much for your attention!!!
Hi there.. ! 😊 Sorry for the late reply. Hopefully this still would be useful. - yes, there is washing machine. Very easy to use, you just put coins to make it work. - i think the onsen is for hotel guest only, and it is seperated for man and woman. I didn't went there due to my tight schedule. Hope you enjoy your stay! Cheers.

Hi - We were wondering if Green Rich Hotel allows luggage storage in the morning. We will be arriving in Kyoto around 8am and understand check in time isn't until 3pm, but would like to leave our suitcases in storage earlier before checking in later in the day. Thank you very much.
I'm sure that the hotel will accommodate you,and hold your luggage, also you have a bus stop outside the door of the hotel on both sides of the street ,that can take you around, the city etc, dont forget you can purchase a day pass on the bus that you can save money. If you have any other question please ask me.
