We stayed here in Nobember 2013 and used it as a base for your day trips to other cities and towns like Kurashiki and Kobe. We booked a twin room, which gave us just enough space for our suitecases. This hotel serves good breakfast to get your day started. They also can keep your suitecases before/ after your stay. The...

First off, if you are planning to sight see around Osaka itself, or want to be able to check out the nightlife in Osaka, you should get a hotel in the city. However, if you plan to do what I did, that is, use the Shin-Osaka rail station as a springboard to make day trips on the Shinkansen, then this...

This hotel was a little bit difficult to find. Clearer instructions would have been really helpful. If you go out the East exit and down the elevator, turn right and head down the street running along side the station for about 2 blocks and then it is off to the left. Once found, it is convenient to Shin-Osaka Station. We...

Thank you for your stay at Shin Osaka station hotel honkan. We know our hotel is not easy to find especially for foreigners. We will try to improve the sign and maps on our website so that the guests can find our hotel more easily. Thank you for your comment. We are looking forward to seeing you again someday.

This hotel is excellent value and is very well located for the Shin Osaka station. We stayed only 2 nights but would have been happy to stay longer. Eating around the hotel was easy and cheap and convenient. The staff were friendly, spoke English and everything was simple for us foreigners. The Japanese breakfast was interesting and acceptable, if a little...

Don't be fooled to get to the domtombori acarade you have to catch the train. We thought it would be the heart of osaka but it's not. Breakfast was more designed for the Japanese rather than westerners, not worth the extra money

Thank you for your stay at Shin Osaka station hotel honkan. Shin Osaka is not a downtown, so it is true that some guests feel in convenient about the place of our hotel. We stayed here for 5 nights, and for some reason this hotel stay was the most memorable of all during our recent Japan trip, which included 3 other hotels. It's a combination of many things that make this such a great little place to stay. Friendly staff, clean and comfy (but tiny) bedrooms, excellent location, great value to name a...

This is a review of the Shin Osaka Station Hotel Honkan - you need the final word to distinguish this from the adjacent Annex building. The hotel is a 10 minute walk out the East Exit of Shin Osaka Station, and there are several direction signs to the hotel at the East Exit. The single room is absolutely identical to...

Stayed at this hotel mainly because of the location. However, I do have to add the room is super small. We took a twin sharing room and because there were 2 single beds, it became a 1 way street for us each time we need to walk across the room. There isn't much space left after opening up our luggages....

Thank you for your comments and sorry for the small room. If you book economy-twin room, one bed is semi-double bed, but the other one is extra bed or sofa bed.
