Room: We stayed in a J1 tatami room which made for a great first impression of Japan. It's definitely worth staying in a traditionally styled room but remember, as stated on their website, sound can travel so sleep with the ear plugs. Location: 5 minutes easy walk from a subway station - no problems. Plenty of convenient places nearby including...

Cool little hostel. Warm, comfortable and cozy rooms that come with a shared bathroom. Plenty of literature in the shared area on things to do in Osaka. Lift would have been nice instead of lugging luggage up and down stairs.

Situated in a 1960' apartment building, run by a architectural/design company. Well situated at the centre off Osaka, good connections to all parts of the city. Rooms small and basic but good value for money. Common washing and toilet facilities on each floor. Staff ver friendly and helpful. Most of the guests a young backpacker crowd.

This place was exactly what I needed in my trip to Japan. And although you do sleep on the floor of the mattresses are very comfortable. It was a little difficult to locate so make sure you review directions. This place was recommended and referred to by friends in Kyoto as being the best hostel in Osaka

For most of our trip we stayed in Air B&B's, which was fine, if a little soulless. The same could not be said of Hostel 64, this place had quirky style in spades. The design was really cool and laid back; all exposed, industrial surfaces, meeting polished wood and stainless steal. The rooms were comfortable, light and clean. The lounge...

I like this hostel as it is located in a quiet residential area which is far from the noisy tourist area but only 2 stations away from it. The dormitory is very nice as it is not a bunk bed but an individual bed with privacy. There is a very nice noodle shop, just a block away, which I have...

Lovely staff. Nice rooms with a interior design twist. Very fond of the retro look, with Japanese and European details. Felt at home in this hostel. Good location as well + ability to rent bikes is a pro! Had a little lounge style lobby with some excellent chairs. Could recommend this to all my friends!

Cute common room area with heaps of books, magazines and helpful staff. There was a bit of an error with our booking (because we arrived late they gave the room to someone else, even though we had given notice of our expected arrival time), however the hostel quickly made an unoccupied staff room available to us, which was very spacious...

Really nice hostel, clean and staff are very helpful. Great location, only 3minutes from the underground station. Only thing I would say is that the privacy curtain should be a curtain rather then a sash. Still the best hostel I visited in Japan.

I quite enjoyed this place. My room was in the basement during the summer and it is quite cool, comfy bed and pretty private. Access to washroom and bathroom are fairly easy (up one flight of stairs). The staff was super helpful too. If I needed help or need of any recommendations, they're quite helpful and enjoy helping you. Though,...
