Located next to Umeda Sky building, the Westin is close enough to the hustle of Osaka’s Malls so you can duck out when the bustle gets a bit too much. There’s an underground food court nearby with a great selection of Japanese food. The rooms are very spacious which is great for Japan, so you can actually relax in them without feeling claustrophobic. The bathroom is also spacious with a shower and separate bath, but the design feels a little dated, along with the furniture in the room. The facilities of the pool and gym have to be paid in addition to the room, so it’s not as accessible if you just want to pop in for say a quick run. The breakfast buffet is pretty decent with a good wide selection of western and Japanese food and some Chinese food too. The hotel staff are polite as you’d expect, but not as accommodating to spontaneous requests, which me and my guests made in the foyer late one night, when we required some glasses. But that aside the concierge was very helpful in requests we made for finding bars to show specific Football matches. All in all we enjoyed a good stay, but for price you might expect a tiny bit more, or at least complimentary gym access.

We have shared your feedback with the appropriate hotel team. For concierge service, restaurants, and location, thank you for your great comments. The concierge was very helpful, booking restaurants for us and helping us find a grocery store to buy a particular item that was not easy to find in many stores. The room was also very clean and the breakfast buffet was good.
Only down side is that the hotel is in a very boring area and it takes about one hour by train to get to the interesting area of Osaka. The JR pass is basically not helpful at all for traveling from the hotel to other areas of Osaka.

I wanted to check this place for long time but didn't have time go. Finally got family stay there are couple of bad and good points but over all perfect... First we booked for one child and to adult when I called them and ask we one more small child 7 years old they said child can use lounge free but not in alcohol session, good enough.

As a gold member we wanted to checkout late 14:00 but they said they can't we must checkout 12:00 it was really not good as we had to check flight late evening. but after some argue and allowed us to stay till 14:00 thank you.

Afternoon tea time menu is best so far in Osaka, please check the pic different kind of Christmas charter sweets and off course best tea.

Room clean wide and beautiful view please check pic. but we found one extra bed that we thought its from hotel side for our small child. but when we checkout they charged us over 50$ surprised. I paid without any argue but felt bed becoz they didn't mention about any charges and we did not request any extra bed.

Kind staff convince place in city, evening cocktail menu was good and breakfast selection was also very nice so I don't mind to pay for extra bed but they should let us know first..

Will come again

Stayed here for two nights in a "newly renovated" room. Aside from the location there was very little to get excited about at this property. The place is extremely tired and dated. Yes they are starting to update their rooms but we very unimpressed with the quality of the remodel. It seems they are opting for a refresh of key elements (carpet, wall coverings, drapes etc.). They haven't touched the bathrooms or replaced the doors. We saw lots of chipped paint, scuffs in our room. The design elements are not great either...the carpets are hideous. There was an overwhelming smell in the room throughout our stay from the new carpet and paint. A major downside.

The club lounge was also very poor in comparison to the Conrad across town. Their afternoon tea was very solid but the evening offerings were kind of a joke. Saucepans of over-salted, cafeteria-style slop like pasta and potatoes. No cheese or usual nibbles.

Breakfast was served in the lobby area. It seemed extremely busy and chaotic. The options were limited and did not vary between the two days.

The gym, pool and health area are in desperate need of a makeover both in terms of the fit and finish and the prices. Charging hotel guests a lot of money to swim seems crazy to me.

I have zero plans to ever return to this hotel unless they truly commit to a proper overhaul. This is a shame because the staff seemed so friendly and helpful

Some things in the hotel room may look a little old-fashioned, but don't let that give you a bad impression. The bed was super comfortable to sleep in, and they even provided a lavender oil to apply on your wrists that could help you sleep better. They had many hotel amenities and even a humidifier. Their charge ports were great too. The location was quite convenient as there was a pathway to the train station only about 7 minutes away from walking.

Surroundings are going through major constructions and a bit hard to get to the hotel walking but doable. Good services all-round. Restaurants on the 3rd floor looks expensive but you can find lunch ala carte which is reasonable and good taste. Love to see how improvements will be done especially towards the Osaka Kansai Japan Expo 2025.

As some have mentioned this hotel is located away from the main city centre action, behind the hotel is predominantly an industrial area and in front its currently a large construction site.
The hotel is a little dated but that didn't detract from our stay.
Room on the 18th floor was large, very comfortable large bed, and breakfast was enjoyable with a large selection from the buffet area.
Staff were attentive and keen to assist.
We did find it a little unusual for a higher quality hotel to charge us for additional coffee sachets to be used in the room- other hotels in Japan didn't charge us for additional coffee.

This hotel is really lovely with HUGE rooms compared to the other Japanese hotels I stayed in. They offer a lovely space to relax and unwind with great views (mine was of the nearby Sky Tree building). The breakfast was nice with a chef available to cook up egg based dishes. The staff were lovely and even sent some treats to my room as it was my birthday. The bathroom is gorgeous with good quality toiletries. I tried out the Teppanyaki dinner in the Japanese restaurant which was delicious. On the downside, It has been commented on already, but they charge extra to use the pool facilities. I understand that this is because it is run by a different company. It isn't much - maybe 12 or 13 euro but given the price of the room, I would suggest including it in the room rate. It feels a bit off to charge for something that most people expect to be included as part of a high end hotel stay.

I stayed here for the first time in more than ten years.
"The first regret was that I made a Reservation by going into the app ""Start the day with a luxurious breakfast stay"" and was told at check-in that it was not applicable for points spent."

I was also developing software, but in such cases you should warn them on the way or prevent Reservations.
Breakfast was offered without Reservation, but without any time, I enquired by extension the next morning.

Again, the guidance said, "It's until 10:30," so I thought this was strange, and I said, "Last order is 10:30, isn't it?" When I asked, "No, I'll start cleaning up at 10:30," I felt that employee education was not done properly.

The next thing I was surprised by was the “Matsushita Electric” bidet, which had only a 32-inch TV and an analog remote control. That means I'm still using my pre-2011 TV, and I've been using my bidet for 20-odd years.

The shower also came with a cheap water-saving mold, so I felt cold because hot water did not come easily, and I felt uncomfortable because the amount of hot water did not flow easily with the foam of shampoo and body soap.

The Stella Maris signboard, which I used to eat a lot, was still there, but I thought this was not cool because I could see the mud inside.

The cleaning is done well and I thought many of the staff were excellent, but there are some staff who can't give attention or can't call you without the staff turning to each other in private (Japanese food) at the dining room, so 5☆ I should give you the hotel name. At most, it's 4, or 3 if you're just staying.

We arrived at the Westin Osaka on the 22nd of December after a long haul flight. From the moment the car stopped all the staff were very helpful in getting our luggage to our rooms. Check in process was very quick. I didn’t have to stand in line and moments later we were ushered to our room on the 22nd floor and the staff explained us about the room’s and hotel’s amenities. When changed and headed for dinner in the adjacent sky building’s basement. After dinner we strolled to the Lawson convenience store which is to the left of the hotel and discovered a 7-eleven opposite the hotel. You won’t go hungry staying at Westin with all these establishments nearby. The breakfast buffet was good, for Muslims could be limiting, but we didn’t mind it too much, as we mostly chose pastries and boiled eggs that were available as well as some veggies. The hotel staff were very helpful in terms of securing transportation (hired cars and taxis). They also arranged for my bags to be sent via express delivery to Tokyo so I won’t have to drag luggage through the Shinkansen commute. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Westin. I only wished it was a bit closer to the station in terms of walking distance but to be fair the hotel did provide shuttles from and to and Osaka Station.
