We arrived a little later than we wanted to... at 22.00. as Ryokan I was expecting a big bath tub.... you know the type that you share with others but this place did not have it. The room we stayed is called Matsu (pine Tree), quite roomy (enough to sleep 4 really), clean with Fresh Tatami mats. The Owner, Mr....

A very large room which is worth for the price. It's a quiet place, It's near sakura-machi station. There's and moreover, the services is very good. We came here as a family trip (5 adults) and we only needed one room. The room is large enough to fit 5 people, p.s. there's a laundry machine for you to wash your...

I travelled a lot in Japan, and this ryokan is one of the best I've ever seen. The room was huge, clean and comfortable. The hosts were very nice and helpful. The price is very reasonable. The best adress in Nagasaki, for sure! Thank you very much Fujiwara-san! :-)

Stayed at this very nice Ryokan in July 2015 for two nights in a family room with a private bath and thoroughly enjoyed it. Mr. Fujiwara is very kind, conscientious and helpful. I wish Mr. Fujiwara had a similar place in Kyoto (where he is originally from) as I spend much more time there. I will definitely stay at Fujiwara...

We stayed here for 3 nights in early June. We were a family of four. The owner is a very kind man and very gentle. There is a nice onsen type bathing facility on the second floor where the rooms are. The rooms are nice in that they have some extra space, more than a usual Ryokan. The place is...

We stayed here in March for 3 nights in family room with private bathroom. Great location in a quiet neighbourhood. Breakfasts we tasty and the woman who cooks even offered to look after our 6 month old while we ate. Off street parking. Clean and simple rooms. Spacious for Japan. Only thing that would have made it better would be...

Love this ryokan though is 10mins walk from Nagasaki JR station. Not difficult, go to the information counter, they will guide you. Mr Fujiwara was aware of our arrival, and he greeted me by name. I was impressed. We were kinda of early for checkin, he said we could leave our lugguages to him. We told him that we would...

We stayed for 2 nights at Fujiwara Ryokan. It is conveniently situated walking distance to the train station, as well as many of Nagasaki's sights. We happened to be there during the lantern festival, we just had to walk a couple of blocks to Megane bridge & we were smack in the middle of everything. Since we are good walkers...

I stayed here for one night in January 2015 and absolutely loved it. It's the perfect base for exploring Nagasaki, since it's near a tram line and a short walk to the station (I think I read that it was 8 minutes, but it was really more like 4-5 minutes), where there are more tram lines. There are several restaurants...

Great place with top notch hospitality! Master Fujiwara is always there when we were going out or coming back, and he is very friendly answering our enquiries. The room was clean, a bit tight for 5 of us plus lugagge, so better to pack a separate bag instead of lugging huge suitcases(no lift) if driving. The staff also housekeep our...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Fujiwara Ryokan is a Japanese-style inn, located only 8min walk from JR Nagasaki Station and 2 min walk from Sakuramachii Tram Station. You can experience the nostalgic atmosphere of Nagasaki city while your stay in our Ryokan. You can easily reach most of the Nagasaki's tourist attractions by transportation of Tram and JR. We are in a very convinient place to go to sightseeing spot in Nagasaki. 10 Min walk to Megane Bashi bridge, 2 min walk to Shofukuji Temple. You can hear trams come and go, the ringing bells from Naka-machi Church, and the beating sound of drums in Suwa Shrine. Our building is in the middle of a slope of a silent stone-paved road. All guest rooms are traditional Japanese style (en-suite and non en-suite). Free Wifi is now available in each guest room. You can plug in your lap top PC. Breakfast is from 7 to 9 a.M. “I made a reservation for Ume no ma and got upgraded to the Take no ma, since it was free that night (ensuite shower and toilet). I think Ume no ma is a good size for one or two people, with maybe three or four people fitting into Take no ma. However, if you want ensuite facilities, then you'll have to book Take no ma. Either way, all the rooms are a really great value.”
