Yes, the Toyoko chain is for travelling businessmen (for the most part), but they provide cheap (if somewhat small) rooms for people wanting to stay a night or two in once place before moving on. The main advantage of Toyoko hotels is their proximity to transport - the train station is a 5 minute walk away and the airport shuttle...

This is a very basic hotel and doesn't give more than a clean but very small room, functioning wifi and simple Japanese breakfast. The rooms are noisy though and you can hear everything in the corridor and adjacent rooms. The main plus for me was the air conditioning, but aside from that, I'd prefer another option if I were to...

Although a basic proposition, the Toyoko Inn chain are all identical in my experience and this one is no different. With standard touring luggage for two people, rooms would be small but the rooms are clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast is a simple affair focussing on Japanese cuisine rather than international.

A poor hotel with a very small room with dirty and stained carpets. Breakfast is taken on canteen style tables in the hotel foyer with nothing to eat for Western tastes except for a sweet fruit bun pre-injected with margarine and inferior coffee from a vending machine. A pity as the location near the station and harbour is good.

On arrival we were given a smoking room as there were no other rooms available . The smell of the room was disgusting. We opened the windows and extractor fan but this helped only a little. I booked on the Tokoyo site and there was no selection for non smoking or smoking room so be careful. The hotel is in...

This hotel really had everything you need for a reasonable price. It's close to the station and the harbour which I both recommend you to visit. The rooms are simple, clean and neat. You can wash your clothes and have breakfast downstairs which is made by three lovely ladies! I really enjoyed my stay. The only thing I had a...

Nothing memorable here, but fine as far as it goes. Typical Japanese cleanliness and amenities. Excellent breakfast buffet. Decent location. Room was pretty cramped. Since we were new to Japan this hotel helped to ease us in. I would go with something cheaper with more character next time.

The hotel is a typical business man’s hotel, small but comfortable and clean rooms. A light Japanese breakfast is included in the hotel rate – it is mostly vegeterian. You need to sign up for Tyoko membership which is worth it. Stay 10 nights and you get a free night. This hotel is located a short walk from the JR...

Like every Toyoko Inn hotels we have visited, this hotel is at a central location. The hotel is clean and has everything you need. The rooms are ok in size (we had a twin room) with lots of storage under the bed. Bathroom is small but has everything you need. The tramstop is just outside the hotel, walking to the...

Although small, the hotel is clean and handy to transportation and shopping, not to mention well prices at around Y6,500 for a single room. The rooms have windows that open wide to allow fresh air in as an alternative to heating and air conditioning.
