Shanti the telephone operator is so beautiful in and out like a angel made in heaven. Aside from her unexplicable beauty more like a miss World in the runner up contest and her never exhausting smile , she is a queen , gracious , courteous , sweet humble and efficiently answers to the guest needs One can never be able to differenciate between a real heavenly angel and Shanti , furthermore i stayed here many time with from 2015 and she and the chinese manager Steven Soo and the all time Favourite Fauzi were the mates no one can ever forget. Shanti is sexy , preetty kind and a pure sweetheart from the bottom of all hearts.Love Mandarin Court

I first received a room on the 14th floor that appeared to be a smoking room, so do request for a non-smoking room, if you desire. (I wish the reception staff had asked, though.) I was re-assigned to a room on the 15th floor very quickly. We discovered the sink was leaking. A call to the reception and five minutes later, someone was knocking on the door to have it fixed.

The room on the 15h floor didn't have the stale stench of cigarette smoke and was clean and I had a side view. The front view affords views of the KL Tower and Petronas tower.

It is a stone's throw away from the Majarajalela LRT station, which is about 3 stops from Bukit Bintang station. Right next to the station is Grid 9.

Grid 9 is highly rated here, so I popped in to have a look. While the rooms at Grid 9 are new, they are much smaller rooms, and not that much cheaper. The Mandarin Court Rooms have a bit more space for luggage etc without two people having to crawl over each other. However, the Queen room and the equivalent twin sized room will not accommodate a third bed.

Further value is created by the hotel's own carpark which is free for hotel guests. The second car costs RM3 per day. The validation process is a bit cumbersome, requiring validation at the reception desk, then the autopay machine.

A buffet breakfast is provided. Generally, nasi lemak, scrambled eggs, sausages, baked beans, fruit, cereal, juices are offered. However, I did not try the breakfast at all for the two days that I stayed there.

Petaling Street (Chinatown) is an easy 7 minute walk away. The only problem is you will have to make one crossing over an overhead bridge.

There are local street food options in the morning just to the right of the hotel past the red and white building. At night, there are restaurants on either side of the hotel. The Hokkien Noodles at the far end of the road (less than 5 minute walk) on the left of the hotel, past the two petrol stations, is worth a try. As is the Ikan Parang fish cake, which is excellent.

Wifi in the hotel worked well enough. There is basic cable TV with BBC news and a movie channel or so. During a thunderstorm, this was disconnected from time to time. There is room service, but I did not try this.

In the bathroom, a basic shampoo-conditioner, bath gel and bar soap are provided. No hand towels, though. Towels were white and not frayed. While fixtures weren't new, they were clean. Water drainage was fast, no pooling of water in the tub.

There is a small roof top pool that closes at 7pm, which doesn't make too much sense since hotel guests are generally are in hotels early in the morning and after 5pm at least, so that's when such facilities are needed. If there wasn't an ugly wall in the way, the view from the rooftop pool at night is quite nice with KL tower and the Twin Towers lit up.

Staff are polite, reasonably friendly, speak good English, competent.

I do have one complaint though. Every day, I had to have my keycard to the room re-magnetised. I always came back after a day and couldn't get back into my room. Furthermore, when you ask for a new key, they merely ask for the room number, but do not verify the guest's name. This, for me, is a serious security flaw. A few simple follow up questions would be a quick and easy fix and I hope the hotel will do this soon.

Good enough for a 3 Star Hotel as long as long as your room is on a high floor. Really needs refurbishment like a change of TV sets where they still use the old ones. Improvement on the dishes on the breakfast buffet. Juices were not even served.

Well. It seems like an old hotel with old furniture, box tv and wool blankets., not slick or stylish but living here was quite comfortable for me. They have everything you generally need for a stay. A lot of Chinese tourists visiting KL stay here.
Subway station and 7eleven is nearby and since its on the main road, you can catch a taxi easily.

I had the bad luck to be part of a group trip with my wife and son. We didn't pay little money but we were traveling with a Chinese group. We even paid more money than them just because we were foreigners.
When we got to the hotel we discovered that it offers a "Chinese really low quality service" and a "Standard tourist quality service". This means, they gave you the worst rooms they could offer and you didn't have the right to eat with the foreigners. They had arranged a floor where you could have breakfast with the Chinese people and it made me feel sick, they were all eating like animals. All the butter and bread was thrown in a table, so dirty that when I saw it I went to the entrance to talk about this. I was so upset. Fortunately, the guy in charge of the staff understood that we didn't deserve to have that kind of service and they provided free coupons for me, my family and other 2 foreigners so we could have breakfast everyday like "common people". I never felt so humiliated in my life!!
Ok, let's talk about other aspects. The hotel is close to the subway and if you want to save some money you can go there. But don't travel with a Chinese group, they will treat you like animals!

I and my wife visted Malaysia in my holidays as part of tour package booked through SOTC . They booked my accommodation in Mandarain Court . My overall experience was as follows:

Positive :
(i)From some of the rooms you can have a wonderful view of the KL tower & Petronas tower .
(ii)It is close to the Maharajalela Mono rail station though I have’nt tried to get on board the mono rail from there .
(iii)Close to China town though you can’t go walking , I hired a cab and one way fare is MR6 .
(iv)Rooms were cosy

Negative :
(i)Wash rooms let us down , water gets clogged in wash basins ,flush doesn’t work at all .
(ii)Food was too costly .
(iii)Morning buffet breakfast has very limited options .
(iv)Though my travel agent told me that the hotel was close to China town ,it is not that close ,takes around 20-30 mints by walking .
(v)The backyard of the hotel was very dirty .
(vi) The main shopping areas were very far off .
(vi)The swimming pool seems very ill maintained , I went there in the morning at around 9 am and there is no one around ,got a little surprised as a hotel having 17 floors and 200+ guest rooms has no body around ,probably no one was ready to take bath in this shabby pool .

Overall experience was average , my recommendation would be one should look for alternative option before try this hotel .I am very candid in my feedback hope other visitors will benefit from my feedback as I myself have benefited from the feedback of others in trip advisor .

Very suitable for the budget travellers. Its quite cheap yet the view, the food, the location are all irresistible!

I came for a business purpose hence would like to comment more about the hall. The hall is located on the 7th floor. Very spacious and the view is amazing (can see klcc and kl tower). aircond is ok. pa system was smooth.

I have stayed in this hotel with my friends recently and I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They were kind enough to show me the directions and alternative ways to my destinations with much patience.
The hotel was also in a good location, close to the Monorail station and that makes it easier for me to go shopping at Times Square and Bukit bintang. Besides, getting a taxi there is so convenient.

My only slight criticism was there were little variety of food for breakfast. Please do not have high expectations towards the decorations of the room and furniture there.Hey, what do you expect from a budget hotel like this, its fine by me!

Overall its a wise choice to stay here for the amount of budget i have.I will definitely come back again to this hotel!
