Mercure shaw parade is my favourite hotel in Malaysia. Location is perfect walking distance from malls, restaurants ,public transport and so many more . Apart from all the great things about mercure shaw parade the staff is the number one reason that makes this hotel stand out from any other hotel. They are the best always willing to go that extra mile for the guest and really loves making the guests feel welcome . I feel like a VIP when I stay at the hotel .. All the staff members are extremely friendly and so caring from security guards at the door, reception, lobby bar and housekeeping not forgetting breakfast staff. A special mention to the following members who always goes that extra step in giving 100% guest satisfaction during the stay Ms Cindy and Ms shida Md Imran housekeeping Joyce front desk Candra breakfast area Azarul front desk And so many more to mention Thank you to all the staff of mercure You guys are the best The views from the hotel is amazing When stepping out the lift to go to the rooms panaramic views from the city In room view of TRX Pool view the best view in KL in my opinion so stunning Breakfast has many options to choose from fruit to curries to anything you could think of they have for breakfast A wide variety and always have different options from the previous morning So new things to try all the time As a guest who stays 30 days I never get tired or bored of the hotel It’s a pleasure and joy staying at Mercure When visiting Malaysia I would 100% recommend Mercure shaw parade

Convenient location, great to unwind after a long day attending conference. The room was clean and the staffs were all very attentive to the guests' needs. The meal was OK, but the seatings at the dining area were quite limited especially during breakfast.

One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in while I have been in Malaysia and my personal favourite in the 4* hotel category. I have stayed in several Accor hotels all around the world and they never fail to impress me with their hospitality but Mercure KL Shaw Parade manage to exceed my expectations even more. This hotel is quite different from many other hotels I’ve seen across this region because it really goes above and beyond for its guests. Whether it’s their sustainability approach where everything is different from other hotels from the bathroom toiletries to the water dispenser in the room that eliminates plastic wastage and is something I have not seen in any other hotel elsewhere before, all these small things thoroughly impressed me! They also make sure to give a proper welcome to their guests in Malaysia by highlighting the culture, heritage and Malaysian hospitality all throughout the property. I stayed in their Suite and was welcomed with a basket of Malaysian snacks and drinks such as Soya Bean Milk and a Grass Jelly drink as well as local Batik fabric items which I was so impressed by! Their artwork also celebrates local Malaysian Talent and I think that is great as well. You can also find a well known international coffee chain and ice cream brand within their property in their lobby lounge and I think that’s very convenient! The food at their lobby lounge was great both times that I dined their for lunch. One time I had their Chicken Chop with Spaghetti and Mushroom Sauce which was incredibly delicious and served in a generous portion and the other time I tried their Chorak Beef Burger with Fries which was just perfect! They also give you a welcome drink voucher which you can redeem at the pool bar or restaurant and I love how their pool has panoramic views and you can see the skyline of Kuala Lumpur. One of my favourite things about the hotel was the breathtaking view you get to see as you step out of the elevator into the hallways before going to your room. The uninterrupted view of the KL skyline is just incredible in the day as well as night! The breakfast options were quite decent and service was fast everywhere all throughout. Very friendly staff all across the hotel and very accommodating and I’d like to give a special mention to the housekeeping staff, Md Imran, for a very attentive and jolly attitude which is very good to see when you are staying somewhere as it’s the people’s attitude you remember and then go on to recommend to other people. Even the staff at the lobby lounge and front desk is just incredible and I really like how everyone was so friendly and upbeat all the time. The location of the hotel is great as one of the best malls in KL, Exchange TRX, is just 5-10 minutes away and you can also walk around the hotel to discover the area and see what is there to eat or see. There are many other malls in the vicinity as well. The suite is luxurious and perfect for those who are seeking a great place to stay at a reasonable price and want to benefit from the incredible facilities as well that this property has to offer. Overall, I think this is a great hotel that goes the extra mile for its guests which is rare to see in Kuala Lumpur so I highly recommend it!

Great hotel, close to Times Square mall and all downtown KL has to offer. Good breakfast with friendly staff. Lovely rooftop pool with good views across the city. I did use the gym which could do with some maintenance but overall, great value for money.

Mercure Kuala Lumpur Shaw Parade is a well-situated luxury property. It offers a spacious room, well-designed bathroom, and fabulous breakfast. The hotel has great views of the city skyline. From the hotel, I was able to visit Kuala Lumpur’s highlights after hiring a car and driver for four hours during a weekend. Three things stand out. The breakfast staff provide a great start to your day. My 15th floor room was maintained by Moinul who was superb. The hotel has a top floor observation deck which is a great place to relax.

Return visit to this well located comfortable hotel. Stayed in 1423, spacious room, comfortable bed. Breakfasts, plenty of choice though lots of local dishes. Plenty for the Western palale. Most clients appear Malay with a smattering of Westerners. Location is great, local restaurants and short walk to Times Square, Bukit Bintang and the new LaLaport centre which is packed with bars and restaurants. Mercure is well situated to get a Grab to the airport without hitting major traffic problems.

More cons than pros: Small room (no upgrade for Accor Platinum Members), stains on towels, mould in the shower, staff at reception not very friendly, food quality at breakfast by far not on 4-star level. All in all the atmosphere is not very welcoming. And the overall impression is: the hotel is full of mould and not really properly cleaned. There is a bad smell everywhere. The probably really only good thing is location, it's not too far away from Bukit Bintang (20 minutes walk). But all in all this hotel is not really up to a 4-star hotel. So don't expect too much and be prepared to see mould everywhere.

Dea Carstens_Welt, Thank you once again for taking the time to review our hotel. We understand that some aspect of your experience have not met all your expectations. At Mercure we strive to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience and we are truly sorry that this was not the case for you. Your feedback is important to us as it helps us constantly improve ourselves and our services. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused during your stay and hope that you will give us an opportunity to serve you better in the future. Thank you again for sharing your honest opinion with us. Just for information, all our rooms are of the same size except for Suite which takes up the size of 2 Deluxe rooms. Higher category rooms are located on the higher floors which gives good view of the city skyline of which your upgraded room enjoyed. Once again, I apologise for the inconvenience caused of which non are intentional, however we will definitely look into the areas and correct where necessary. Thank you. Cindy Yeoh General Manager

We enjoyed visiting Kuala Lumpur, but will definitely stay at a different Accor hotel next time. The positives of this Mercure is the location, housekeepers, and f & b staff.  The receptionist were not helpful and upper management were no where to be found. The check in experience was very frustrating.  They gave me a welcome letter with some else's name and stated that I am getting complimentary breakfast and welcome fruit.  There was no fruit, and I was charged for breakfast.  We were very disappointed with our room.  I reached out to  the hotel requesting a quiet room with a bathtub preferably in a corner room since we are traveling with a child.  They disregarded this, never responded, and my Accor membership. There was no upgrade and none of my request were honored.  Every night people were loud until 1 A.M.  We had to call security.  There was no apology or compensation. We also had to change rooms because our first room smelled like smoke. They tried to keep us in that room and wanted to use a spray. As for the breakfast food, the selection was limited and poor quality.   We started skipping breakfast. We asked for an extra blanket, and they gave me a grey and dirty blanket. I clearly communicated my concerns to the front office, and I got the blanket statement, " I am so sorry sir, anything else?"  In one ear and out the other.

Had a nice stay for one night. Rizal on reservation was very helpful and friendly. Allocated a nice quiet room on a high floor as what I'm asked for. Check in process by Joy was smooth and efficient which was useful given how busy the hotel was. Ordinary breakfast but I had awesome and enjoyable experience attended by friendly gentleman Zuhri. Room was spacious, clean and well appointed with a good view of the city. Bathroom amenities could be improved but not bad. Huge tv but best of all were the amazing bed and pillows, need to get some for home !

Really don't know why this hotel got good ratings at TripAdvisor. We're assigned to a room on 19th floor. The moment when we stepped out from the lift, the awful moldy smell already come to our nose. Please refer to the attached photos, door of numerious rooms are pasted with strange stickers like 'to be repaired' & the corridor's carpet just like damaged by water or something else that caused the smell. The wall of the room is full of cracks. The ceiling of the bathroom seems like peeling off. The bed & pillows are full of black stains. They don't provide bottle water by using excuse that for green purpose, but please see the attached photo how dirty the drinking water machine is! Hence, we have to buy Mineral Water ourselves everyday. I have to say this is the most horrible Mercury's hotel we've ever stayed. Much worse than a cheap hostel. What happened?! An absolutely disappointed stay! Don't recommend this hotel at all!
