Our room had a fantastic view across to the Twin Towers. We were on the 25th floor and the windows were single glazed and easily opened. The room was large and adequately furnished. The shower cubicle and toilet were adequate. Basic toiletries were provided and towels were changed daily. Tamu is a modern hotel. All the staff were cheerful and friendly. Many of the staff have little or no English and miming/charades got us a long way. Our booking was for bed and breakfast. We were unaware that it was Ramadan and that breakfast was unavailable after 7a.m. We were offered breakfast in our room and it arrived the next morning at 9.30a.m. Sadly it was inedible. The management agreed and were extremely apologetic and we were offered dinner for the rest of our stay. This was an excellent Ramadan buffet with a choice of over 100 dishes prepared by chefs keen for our approval . The swimming pool was out of use for most of our stay. Changing facilities for women are non existent - a single shower cubicle but no lockers/benches /coat hooks. The men's changing room was closed the entire time . The view from the pool across the city is fantastic . The mosque is over the road and the imam's call to prayer throughout the day and night was very loud and long. The 'hop on/hop off' bus stops outside the hotel .

All my check in at the hotel guests were very satisfying. Beautiful room clean and very comfortable. But the worst thing is that securitry is always on the run, it's not slow to repair the damages to the room. The best of all is the kind of high school canteen. It's expensive, but food like that goes to slave eaters. It just doesn't taste good. Thank you supervisor abg bald (forgot his name what) friendly, cheerful, happy kids and my family close to him. Honestly and honestly, when I ask for the goods I don't need five minutes to get there. Keep working your bald abg. Sory knows the name.

Tamu is situated in Kampung Baru - a food heaven. We enjoyed eating mouth watering delicacies surrounding the area eg nasi lemak WakJo, Ice cream gula apung, Thai seafood at reasonable price. I will say the food price in Kampung Baru is comparably cheaper than other places in centre of KL. We recommend hotel buffet dinner by the pool. The food selection was special with lots of variety as it was during new year eve. Our table was facing KLCC. Children below 5 years could eat for free. Breakfast was ok - we loved the warm croissant!!
Tamu offers beautiful KL view ie KLCC, KL tower and PNB tower. The room price is reasonable as it is situated in KL city centre.
The staffs were friendly and helpful.
The down side is : We find it difficult to park the car at peak hours ie we had to park at 10th floor!! But if u r not driving, its easy to use GRAB for transportation.
Overall, if you love exploring street foods and looking for a hotel with beautiful view at reasonable price, this hotel is for you.

Was lucky enough to get a chance to stay here for several nights for work. I suppose should COVID-19 be over and overseas travellers be allowed to come visit Malaysia, Tamu should be on their priority list. Located smacked in the middle of Kampung Bahru, it is a good alternative to the hustle and bustle of Bukit Bintang, and for travellers looking for good local Malay food (instead of the usual Chinese Malaysian food that foreigners often go for at Jalan Alor).
Plenty of Malay food courts with reasonable prices within a short walking distance, and if you ever need your fancy latte or beer, Jalan Doraisamy is nearby. That famous porky Chinese Restaurant Yut Kee (if you really can't live without eating pork, and willing to queue 1 hour for it), is only a 10 minute walk from here.
But if you ever feel lazy to walk, you can also choose to dine in their restaurant on the 27th floor. Food choices are a little limited by say, Shangrila standards, but most of their food were prepared from scratch, and the chefs are definitely proud of their artwork. They will almost always recommend you to try their cooking. Definitely paid off as they were so good I forgot to snap pictures of their food. Each day the cooking station offers different kind of meals so you will definitely not get bored eating on the 27th floor with a gorgeous view of Kuala Lumpur. In fact I dare say the food here is even better than some of the restaurants in Kampung Bahru, hehe.
Room is reasonably clean, just that the power sockets require you to use an adapter if you are using a two pin plug. Their clean gym or their spacious swimming pool is definitely a plus point too. Service is relatively prompt - i called reception to have the corridor lights on my level turned on and it was done promptly.
However the swimming pool water is a bit murkier than I would like and heater is slightly cooler than what I am used to. Small stuff when compared to all other good things this hotel has to offer.
All in all, this hotel is very well worth staying. The staff seems genuinely happy working here and take pride in working with this hotel. There is even a borderline homely feel staying here. Worth the stay here.

Not a 4star hotel standard. I'm very disappointed of the service that me and my family received during our stay. Requested a pillow and a blanket at noon, received at 1am after calling hskp again to send. Breakfast area, very dirty. No one stand by at the buffet counter to monitor the food for replenish. I am experienced in F&B 4 star and 5star hotel as manager and frankly speak, Tamu is the worst breakfast I've ever experienced. Dirty egg station, buffet counter, floor and the worst part even the coffee cup not cleaned up properly. The F&B staff is good but the problem is probably with the manager who do not know how to keep up the standard. We are paying for the room and also the service! 2nd room toilet pipe leaked very bad, obviously there's no inspection before guest checked in. Please improve your service standard. Stayed at 3708 check in 25th checkout 26th.

I have checked in at the hotel on 28/11/19 and i was given the room on 22nd floor (not excualty sure) but the check in was taken by duty manager (saw it in the name badge) she was not welcoming and not smiling towards us very much handling like robot. the breakfast selection i mean variety is very bad being an 4 star hotel they should keep good variety of Indian food also which is not there and they say the restaurant is a multi - cuisine but i dont find variety of food at all. and on the 3rd day our room lights were not working suddenly dripped we have called almost 10 times to reception first of all they dont pick the call and i have personally go down to reception and tell them after that also they haven't send any technician to check my room we waited for almost 45 minutes and my baby (1 year) was unable to sleep because there is no AC and the room was already became hot and again i went down and shouted at them later at 11:45pm the technician came and checked but again few minutes later same problem and the technician said he need to change the room as the problem will not be able to rectify now and imagine they shifted our room at 12:30am and they have given the smaller room then what we were staying earlier and no apologies and they upon checkout i even informed about the same but they didn't even bother to apologize which i really felt bad because i am also an hotelier and i know how the service should be given and there is no value for the money from this hotel.
not worth it staying in this hotel , careless staff apart the guy who has cleaned our room on the last day evening.

Not a hotel for Europeans, poor hygiene, outdated and very poorly maintained interior and sanitary facilities. Not enough towels and toilet paper. Everything looks great in the photos, but in reality only the lobby looks nice. Covering swimwear is mandatory in the swimming pool, even for men. They will never see us there again.

We just walked in to the hotel and luckily they had room available. The receptionist was a great help in securing our room despite our last minute booking.
The Junior Suite room was spacious but the Housekeeping needs to look into the glass door behind the curtain as it was dusty along the way.
The breakfast spread was good but I am a bit worried on the safety part as they placed few big woks openly (and its hot) for the nasi lemak condiments. Its quite dangerous for small children walking in that area.
Nevertheless our stay in the hotel was good.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and it is centrally located near the Petronas Tower and the restaurant and club area. Let's say that the Malaysians are not very welcoming. We arrived at the hotel at 8 in the morning after a 14 hour flight plus 1 hour by car. room wasn't available and they didn't even give us help to change clothes, we had to go to the bathroom in the conference room, when we returned at 5pm the room wasn't ready and they didn't want to return our luggage, very rude, good location but terrible hotel

😅Extremely bad experience in this stupid ans unprofessional hotel. 😑Very dirty carpet, gross dirt stick on it and not just the outside, but inside the room. 🙄The sheet could not fully cover the bed and the bed is quite dirty. 😖In toilet, yellow tace everywhere Very smelly. 😅No intergrity and any credibility. The reception promise me to cancel my next nights booking and I get the refund. When I go back to confirm this. The manager yelling at me saying that his frd(the reception) did not say anything about my refund. It cause very bad impression on Malayaia. Very bad.... Disgusting hotel.

Hi there, the easiest is to take Grab from KLIA. It should cost you around RM80 or so. And no... USD is NOT accepted, only MYR. Another option is to take the ERL train from KLIA to KL Sentral and take a cab from KL Sentral to the hotel.
There are more places to choose from in the Kuala Lumpur area.
