Welcome to The 5 Elements Hotel - a uniquely themed boutique hotel in famed Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur that offers hotel rooms at affordable rates plus highly personalized service. No longer are tourists visiting Chinatown limited to just the budget hotels and travellers' inns here which offer guests the basics of accommodation. We honestly feel that hotel guests deserve not just affordability, but also comfort and security - plus that touch of the unusual which makes a stay truly memorable. Our aim is to make everyone who comes to our establishment say, "Hey, I found a really cool place to stay in KL!" Our boutique hotel is inspired by traditional Wu Xing (五行) philosophy - reinterpreted for the discerning modern traveller who seeks something beyond the ordinary. Here, water, wood, fire, earth and metal - the Five Elements essential for universal balance - set the theme for a contemporary, chic ambience and a refreshing service experience. At The 5 Elements Hotel, guests have the perfect gateway to discover the many charms of Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown and nearby Petaling Street. Your hotel room here is your oasis of calm amidst all the hustle and bustle. A place to rest and rebalance all the elements of mind, body and soul. Stay with us for a one-of-a-kind hospitality experience.

Just remember if you book online bring $50 in Malaysian currency that is required and is some kind of tax. But you get it back at the end of your stay. This is in addition to the $30 they must hold on your credit card.
Once you get through checkin the hotel rooms are clean and centrally located. The housekeeping staff is very nice, friendly and helpful, not so much the front desk staff. But my stay was good and room had nice views.

Dear SF Guy, Thank you for taking the time to write us a review! We are heartened to hear that you had a pleasant stay with us. We are glad that you found our central location in Chinatown KL to be ideal, and that the room and cleanliness met your expectations. Your kind compliment about our housekeeping staff is greatly appreciated and will certainly motivate all of us here to always strive for customer satisfaction. Easy to get to and handy for all transport. Lots of great places to eat nearby. Breakfast is Ok. They only supply coffee in the rooms but there is a 7/11 store close by. Our room was nice and large on the 11th floor with a view over the city. Staff were very helpful and arranged a day trip for us as well.

Hotel very well located opposite the Chinese district.
The rooms are large, well equipped, good bedding, clean bathroom.
On the 13th floor, we had a view of the top of the Twin Towers.
Our room overlooking the street was not very noisy.
The - of this hotel: the breakfast is frankly not up to par!!!

Hotel is very helpful and accommodating our specific requests. Any recommended Hotel. In a very good location, and a helpful and friendly staff. Our housekeeper, Lucy, is especially friendly and cheerful. If you're interested in a Chinese atmosphere, this hotel will put you right in the middle of that.

We stayed in the 5 element last december 14-18, 2019.
Not bad for a 3 star hotel. The room we stayed in is clean. The room size is just right for us that is usually out during the day. The comfort room is clean and spacious. The staff are courteous and accomodating with our request. We honestly not expecting much since it was cheap but it was really beyond our expectation. Especially the breakfast buffet. I loooove the food and it has many selections. There are may establishments outside the hotel and many accessible restaurants to try. If i ever go back to malaysia, i will still choose the 5 element as my home away from home.

The room was clean but the air conditioner was noisy. The breakfast provided was simple and nice. There was a hotel receptionist named Kim who provided great service. I accidentally left my jacket in the hotel and Kim helped me to deliver the jacket to me. I really appreciate his kindness and helpfulness.🥰
