Detailed Reviews
My second time to stay at Asia like hotel. Check in was ok, We were not permitted in the room until exactly 2pm as apparently all the hotel rooms were fully occupied even at 1pm!? - which I don’t believe was the case. I don’t mind a hotel applying their fixed check in time policy but please just be honest about it. It was very obvious our room had not ‘just been finished cleaning’. Anyway the room had a comfy bed, good air conditioning. Hot/cold water available via a dispenser out in the corridor. Shower was cold, no bad thing after wanting a cool down after walking around but still water never even got warm. Unfortunately one of the two bath towels was dirty and stained by bodily substance. Regardless of this, I’d still consider the hotel on future trips to KL as I overall enjoy staying here despite things not being so good as my first visit. Location is great to imbi monorail stn, Berjaya Times Square & Jalan alor food street just minutes walk away.

Location is closed to Bukit Bintang as you can reach hotel by Monorail or MRT. From KL Sentral, I did recommend to take Monorail for shorter time of traveling.
As solo traveller, I paid below US12 dollars for private room and toilet with air condition + wifi….I think this should be right choice.
Cheapest room type is single bed without window (+ clean) as OK for me.
Plenty of 7-11 or Family Mart or KK are located near the hotel.
Thin wall is only issue as I found during my stay….but that”s not big matter for me.
Highly recommend for budget traveller.

Small room but perfect for people who are more in the city than in the hotel. The room was clean, but old, there were towels and water available. The location is perfect, very close to the Jalan Alor (food district). Very helpful and friendly staff.

I had checked in Asia like boutique hotel in kualalumpur on 14th January at 2:00 pm . As soon as I entered my room ,I went to washroom to freshen up..when I tried to leave the washroom I discovered that door handle was loose and door couldn't be opened from inside. And hence I was stuck in washroom.there was no intercom so I immediately started shouting and making noises but soon I realized that no one can hear me.i removed the shower head and tried breaking the door which was of glass but it didn't break despite all my efforts.i removed the rubber around the door in hope of taking down the glass from frame but it was in vain. I also tried to move the false ceiling but couldn't do it. All I was able to do was remove the frosting paper from door so that I was able to see outside of the washroom.
I remained trapped there from 2 :00 pm till 12:00 am midnight that is about 10 hours.
In the meantime ,when my family wasn't able to contact me they sensed that something is wrong so they called hotel reception and asked them to check on me. Then a person ( named " Mr aswad" not sure of pronunciation) came to my rescue and was able to get me outside .
I asked to talk to Manager but was told that they will come in morning. I couldnt leave the hotel this late at night being a solo traveller and after such traumatic incident so I decided to stay the rest of night there .
In the morning I went to hotel receptionist Ms Jenny .She was apologetic and went to check the lock herself and on finding it faulty blammed the maintenance staff. She had conversation on phone with her boss Mr Williams which I couldn't understand due to language barrier .I then talked to Mr William on phone . He was apologetic and offered compensationon my next stay in that hotel. I refused to move from property till they gave me an incident report or some type of written apology/insurance claim . After repeated phone calls I was refunded half the money for my one day stay.
They had the audacity to compensate me for half day for damaged/faulty properties that they provide to customers and the mental and physical agony that I had to endure .they should be closed down.

A BIG mistake if you think this place got one star at all.
The only convenient thing is the location which’s close to a mall.
The street is like skid row with broken sidewalk and trash everywhere, along a 24 hr busy highway that sounds like a motorcycle track.
Room is full of dust on everything which made us wonder about when was the last time someone stayed in it. Room with broken window is not an issue with
staff. Especially the manager who won’t hesitate to kick people out if they complaining.
This is exactly “You pay for what you get”.

+1
Located within walking distance from IMBI Monorail station, which is connected to Berjaya Time Square shopping mall. Can even walk to Pavilion by taking short cuts through Plaza Low Yat (IT Mall), then Sungai Wang Mall.
the hotel and room are clean and there is elevator to each floor.
Hotel provides smoking and non-smoking rooms, when entering the room, sometimes there is a tobacco smell as if someone has been smoking in the room, just turn on the exhaust fan in the toilet and the smell will be gone. Believe the tobacco smoking smell came from other smoking room through the exhaust after exhaust is switched off.
All wall power sockets is UK standard, so traveler will need to bring their own traveler power adapter.
Wifi fast & reliable.
There is an electric kettle and hotel provides 2 packets of instant coffee provided but no free bottle of drinking water.
In the toilet, there is an electric hair dyer, disposable tooth brush with paste and shower foam.
Room isn't bright enough for reading, we dropped by Mr DIY to buy an adapter with 9W LED light for the wall socket next to the bed.
Housekeeping is on request. Before leaving the hotel for shopping, have to inform front desk if housekeeping is needed.
If coming to KL for shopping, this will be a hotel to consider, saving money on hotel room and be able to spend more on shopping spree.

Very clean, central location and easily found for transport. The single room is small but the bathroom is as big as other hotels. The staff are fantastic and accommodating to all needs. Late check out is no problem and cost is minimal. Short stays are worth it, better value than a hostel if traveling. Most importantly I felt very safe as a female solo traveller.

Staff are friendly. 50MYR cash room deposit required on check in and 10MYR per room per night city tax for non Malaysian's.
The best thing about this place is the location. Literally around the corner from the amazing Berjaya Times Square shopping centre where you can easily lose a day, about 10 minutes to Jalan Alor food market (high priced in comparison to other places) and easily walkable to the heart of Bukit Bintang.
Rooms aren't the best and you can hear people in the room 2 doors further down. We stayed in one without a window and we wouldn't do it again anywhere. Shower pressure was excellent, although my goolies took a right beating from the force of the water. We were on the 9th floor and it smelt like an old peoples home. Stale urine. The smell was nauseating but luckily didn't go into the room. Water coolers are available too for both hot and cold water.
You have to ask reception if you want your room cleaning etc. We asked for a towel change before we left one morning and it didn't get done even though we were out all day so we had to find someone.
Overall we would stay again but in a better room with at least a window.
