Travellers' Choice
An oasis of style and calm, this is one of KL's most characterful traditional boutique hotel located in Bukit Bintang, within 10 minutes walk to train station, 1 minute walk to shopping malls, 1 minute walk to Jalan Alor hawker food street and restaurants, 15 minutes walk to Petronas Twin Towers, KL Convention Centre, Chinatown and 10 minutes drive to KL Golf & Country Club. Rates include free WIFI in room and whole hotel. Featured in CNNGo as one of the best 4-star boutique hotels in KL! Converted from two 1920's shophouses, most of the rooms look out onto a peaceful inner courtyard. The decor is incredibly tasteful, without sacrificing comfort levels for the sake of style. All the guest rooms have beautiful, handcrafted queen size teak beds, wooden furniture and wooden flooring. And the decor is traditional Malaccan with a contemporary twist. It has a lovely atmosphere. Why: Location, location, location. Authentic and delicious Malaysian food is minutes away; the city's best night life, within staggering distance. The shopaholic within will be duly fulfilled by city's highest concentration of malls. The Anggun's unique look and feel is a definite departure from big-chain homogeneity, perfect for the urbanite leisure or business traveler looking for an authentic and modern way to spend their time in Kuala Lumpur.

I came to stay for one night, but due to visa issues ended up staying on for five. The hotel is very well located and nicely appointed for what is essentially a budget hotel. The management has a thrifty - no frills approach that is balanced with a reasonable sense of style. Rooms are small and many have no window, but they are nicely decorated. Occasionally the no-frills approach is just a tad too much, for example the super cheap and dodgy instant electric hot water systems in the bathrooms, very limited TV channels, slow internet and frankly pathetic breakfast and lunch offerings. but... It is well located, and well priced, has a sense of being just a tad more classy and boutique-ish than the other options in the area and the staff are really friendly. I mean at this

Stayed here a couple of times. Beautiful decorated rooms with good bed and bathroom en suite. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent, nearby Jalan Alor and on walking distance to Petronas Towers and shopping malls, like Pavilion. Although it's situated in a busy street, it's surprisingly peaceful and quiet. They serve food and there's an outside bar for a coffee or a cocktail and next door is a really good local Indian restaurant that's open 24/7. On the upper floor you can treat yourself on a massage or manicure. A charming place to start and end your trip through Malaysia. Great value!

We stayed ther likely just for one night. We found a big yellow spot in the bed sheets, that was most likely cat pee, since these animals run through the hall and corridors of the hotel. They change our bad sheet, But is better if I do not describe the cleaning conditions of the mattress. Central position but not particularly silent To be avoid

We liked our stay very much but my only complaint is...and I know I'm being a little petty but you should move the maintenance ladder and equipment from the rear foyer, and probably spend a day giving the place a good dusting, other than that, great place to stay.
