BackHome is housed in a row of pre-war shophouses, carefully preserved since the 1880s. The hostel is near to masjid jamek lrt station. Overall, it is a good and clean place to stay but there is a room for improvement. The water from tap has a peculiar smell. It would be better if the free breakfast has wider selection (e.g. cereal).

It's a good place to stay. Friendly front desk and overall clean place. Situated right in the heart of Kl and close to public transport. There is also an entertainment room with netflix. Will definitely come again next time.

Although BackHome is known as a hostel, but we have chosen BackHome Hostel and LOKL Cafe as our pre-wedding shooting venue. Both belong to the same owner. It was a very pleasant photo shooting experience. En. Ahmad and his staffs were very helpful and friendly in helping us on the shooting. Very much appreciated the arrangement from the BackHome and all the staffs from BackHome.

The reviews are spot-on. This is the most well-designed hostel / private room stay I've seen in Asia. A modern layout, clean & comfortable with both dorm-style and private rooms. Shared bathrooms & showers are spotless. plus a kitchen facility, lounge, lots of cozy spaces for reading and an amazing attached coffee / restaurant LOKL. Helpful staff full of ideas for exploring KL. Highly recommend.

This hostel is one of the best hostels I have stayed in! We are in a private double room with air con and it’s great. Bed is comfortable, room and bathrooms are all really clean, the courtyard is lovely and really nicely designed, almost doesn’t feel like a hostel at all! There is also a great cafe attached to the hostel which serves nice breakfast and coffee. The only tiny issue I have is that there isn’t an option to have a private bathroom, but it’s not a big deal as the shared bathrooms are clean, would just be nice to have. The area is walking distance to all the big sights and activities, and plenty of restaurants and cafes around. Thanks for a lovely stay, would recommend to everyone!

A lot of thought was put into making the space extra cozy and homey - so our guests feel at east to socialize with each other. We'll definitely let our friends at LOKL Coffee know that you loved their breakfast and coffee ! Thank you for pointing out on the lack of private bathrooms. Admittedly it is something that we can no longer change, and we are restricted to what space we have - being in an old and aged shophouse. However we did the best with what we have, and always ensure that the shared bathrooms are squeaky clean for everyone's comfort. Glad to hear that this wasn't a big issue for you. Thanks again for choosing to stay with us. We're glad you had a lovely stay and would gladly look forward to welcoming you again.

Clean and well run hostel in very convenient location. We had a private room with shared bathroom - there was AC and a sink in the room. The room and hostel were nice, not as sociable as some hostels we have stayed at but that could be due to the current COVID19 virus. There is also a nice coffee shop next door called LOKL and a great Chapati shop called Santa’s Chapati (lol)

I stay in a lot of backpacker hostel. But backhome was the best hostel i stay before. I love the environment here. Its really comfortable and cozy. The staff really friendly. The dorm was amazing and its close with train station.

I felt so welcome from the beginning in the hostel. The staff is extremely friendly, memorize your names and they put your name on the door of your room. It is cosy and definitely a second home! Btw it is also clean as!
