Totally outdated. Need a lot of works to improve the furnishings. The advantages this property has is the location. This is all about location. Centrally located. The place is clean & functional at least. Don’t expect much. Bring your own face towel & toiletries though I must say the bathing towels are quite good.

I didn’t like the whole experience. To get to room you need to use two different elevators which they are not even next to each other (around 30 meters away) . The condition of the room was outdated. The noise was so obvious from outside regardless I was in the 14th floor as the window is not sealed. I could see roaches several times in the bathroom.

Pro: close to Pavilion and shops

Cons: hotel management doesn't care about the customers. They charge for everything possible. The breakfast is like vomit! It's located inside another hotel room. The lifts are always closing on you and they are old. The toilets inside the rooms smell, theres mould and they are very run down.

For the amount of money i paid, I got a better room at a 5 star hotel next to the Petronas towers.
DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF BOOKING HERE. Don't use Expedia either!

We chose this apartment because we wanted to be near Pavillion Mall. This hotel is nearby 2 train stations, that is the Green MRT Kajang Line and the Lime-colored KL Monorail Line.
For 1st timers, the best entrance is from the side at Jalan Gading next to Starhill. There you'll find a dedicated entrance with 2 elevators that only go up to the 5th floor, where the reception lobby is situated.
The entrance from the mall may be confusing if you are not familiar with it. The mall opens at 10 am and closes at 10 pm. The only access point outside this operating hours is at the side of the building.
For security reasons, guests can only access the apartments from the 5th floor and not directly from the mall.
A 200 ringgit deposit is required during checking-in. 2 room access cards will be given. This access card is needed to open the glass door before using the elevators.
Sometimes, guests without access card will wait around the lobby for other guests to open the glass door for them to access the elevators. Security should check up on this as paid guests cannot be responsible if unwanted guests follow them into the lifts.
We booked 2 separate rooms but were upgraded to a 2-bedroom apartment with 2 en-suite bathrooms. Many thanks!
The all-men staff at the reception counter are exceptional. There are very polite, pleasant, helpful, friendly and professional.
A staff helped us at the laundry room when we had a problem with unattended laundry left by guests. A staff also told us about the Surau (muslim prayer room) on the 3rd floor for use after we checked-out.
The suite rooms are okay and all the amenities are adequate. The apartment is clean. The bath towels are a little off-white, with a slight burnt smell - probably due to overheating in the dryer.
To use the laundry room, guests will pay 30 ringgit at the reception in exchange for tokens. The maximum load for washing and drying up to 6 kg.
The swimming pool area is also on the 5th floor. Its quite big and unfortunately there is no lifeguard.
The only issue we had with this hotel is the changing of lifts from the suites to the mall lifts at the 5th floor every time we go in and out. That is the only hassle for us.
Otherwise, for the amount the hotel cost, we are satisfied with our stay here.

We stayed two nights in a three bedroom suite. On one night, a friend heard someone knocking from behind the cupboard doors, but our suites are the last in the building ie/ there are no more rooms in that direction, so it's certainly not a neighbour knocking. My sister at 3am whilst sleeping in another room felt someone lying on top of her, hovering over her, and lifting the blanket at her feet, but no one was there. She came over to my room to sleep instead! Lucky we stayed out of the hotel most of the time. I certainly do not recommend this hotel, it is by far the worst I have stayed at. The pictures are misleading, the building is old and creepy. The lift doors jam you in between. Balcony is dangerous and unsafe.

I WILL NOT BOTHER STAYING HERE AGAIN.

NOTE. We are getting them investigated for possible credit card fraud (you can read my friend's review on it below mine)

The VERY basic minimal requirement of staying in a place is the security aspect and this so-called suite is amazingly, jawdroppingly, INADEQUATE at that.

First. To get you acquainted with the awesome layout of the place....

THE GRAND TOUR

The suites are located above Fahrenheit Shopping Mall, at the 5th floor. Upon arrival, there are NO signs that tell you WHERE is the lift to get to the hotel. Eventually, we found 2. One is a walk in right from the streets where there IS a security guard.... for the club located in the building. The second one is from the mall (mind you, the mall has a couple of lifts. you just have to try your luck in getting the right one).

Both lifts, if they do managed to take you to the correct floor, will bring you to a dilapidated area where you will have to hunt for a small room that serves as the reception. You might get to see the amazing run-down gym and pool if you come up from the shopping mall lift, and do take a tour of the lovely pool's sauna and steam room WHICH DOES NOT WORK.

CHECKING IN

This is what we call first class service. Three staff members to check in 2 groups of travelers takes approximately half an hour. After passing the staff our check-in papers, we could see them whispering and looking confused at the papers. Obviously something's not right. When we asked them what were we waiting for, we got some vague answers and were ignored. Finally, they spoke to us and said that our room is on the 20th floor, and it is not ready yet. Check in time is 2pm, we arrived at 330pm, and we have to wait to 430pm to get the 3 bedroom suite.

CHECKING IN, 2ND ROUND

Came back, they looked at us with the ohshityouguysarebackface. It was 5pm and our rooms were STILL NOT READY. Another 15minutes before they got us a different room - this time round, a 2 bedroom suite and they opened up another room for us to make it 3 rooms. Let's not even start on the journey it takes to the room. Dinghy walls and floors, poorly ventilated corridors, old service lifts, walking through mazes of corridors, no proper signs or directions to be found, etc.

The only redeeming factor of the entire experience are the rooms itself. But for a little bit more money, you can get a suite in a hotel with good service, proper facilities, working amenities, safety and security.

OVERALL

- There were no compensation or even any apologies for the late check in and we were told we had to check out at the stipulated time. When questioned that it was not fair, we paid a full value and yet they wasted 4 hours of our time, they couldn't give us any satisfactory answer and kept repeating that we have to check out cos someone else is checking in. Oh well, since you could make us check in 4 hours late, you can do that to someone else too right.

- Anyone could walk in to the place (if they can find it). Why is there no security to speak of?

- Money was kept in an unlocked drawer at the reception. Why is there no safeguards in place from thieving?

- Staff communication is poorly, the day's staff had to call the previous day staff to ask her if she has returned our deposit money. Why is there no proper documentation?

So travelers, if all you care about is a decent room to get a night's sleep, this is the place. For those who are concerned about your personal safety and monetary security, i will not even think twice about this place.

DO NOT GO.

Response from FahrenheitSuites, Manager at Fahrenheit Suites Kuala Lumpur
Responded 26 Jun 2011
We are writing to you with regards your recent stay at Fahrenheit Suites from 17th-19th June 2011 and your recent posting on Trip Advisor. We would like to thank you for your invaluable feedback and we deeply regret that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. We would like to take this opportunity to respond to the matters raised in your posting. First and foremost, we would like to extend our deepest and sincerest apologies with regards the delay in checking you in to our suites. It is currently the holiday season and are experiencing seasonally higher occupancies. Unfortunately this has adversely affected house keeping's ability to turn around the rooms in time for the next set of guests. We are also deeply sorry for being unable to offer you a later check out beyond 2pm in light of your late check-in. We greatly appreciate your feedback on this matter and are putting in place further action to counter this including additional man power. We would like to apologize again for the inconvenience caused to your good selves. We also understand that you had some concerns on the security of our front office. We would like to inform your goodself that all monies are kept in a safe in the back office at all times. Furthermore we have added additional safeguards including ensuring the front office is manned 24 hours a day and CCTV cameras. We would like to apologize for the perceived risks and also for the confusion with regards refund of your security deposit. Similarly your feedback is invaluable in helping us to further improve on our operations. It is regrettable that you are a victim of credit card fraud. With your kind permission, we would like to assist with the investigation so that the perpetrators could be brought to justice. Perhaps if you could furnish us with more details on this including: (a) The times and dates the fraudulent transactions were made (b) The value of the transactions (c) Originating country of the transactions and to whom these transactions were made to (d) Any other pertinent details from the bank or credit card company on this issue We hope that such an investigation would shed more light on this matter and uncover the perpetrators of this crime whether it is indeed caused by one of our staff or not. We would like to assure you that we are as equally concerned on this matter and would like to see justice served. Our sympathies are with you and we hope that the credit card company or the banks are able to resolve this matter. We would also like to inform your good selves that the other matters raised have been noted. We hope to roll out further improvements to ensure that all our guests have an enjoyable stay with us. Again, it is deeply regrettable that your stay in Fahrenheit Suites was not enjoyable. Please feel free to contact us should you require any further assistance. Thank you.

My friends and I booked 3 superior rooms to stay for 4 nights. It was so badly maintained we couldn't stay any longer - we checked out that night at in the early morning and stayed elsewhere.

The location is fantastic, central to all popular malls/shopping centres. It attracted us to book this hotel in the first place was because it was in the Fahrenheit 88 shopping mall, very convenient and promising with the provided photos. Little did we know, the mall looks great but the entrance of the suites were like back door entrance to the shopping mall. Without the taxi driver's direction, we would not have found the place.

- The lifts were run down, old and no ventilation whatsoever!
- You have to take two lifts to your suite, first one was to the 5th floor to the reception which was just a small room, which reminded me like a small dental check in reception room then another lift to our actual rooms.
- Some bottons of the lifts were missing
- The hallway to our room reminded us of a old hospital or where psychiatric patients stayed in. At night time it looked like one of those scary movie scene where a ghost would pop out at the end of the dark hallway
- There is no electronical key pass, just a dodgy, about to fall off door knob with key.
- The rooms are old, bathroom dirty with a really strong sewage smell, even toilet sprays could not cover the intense smell and only hot water for shower with an electric heater.
- The walls are stained.
- VERY VERY thin walls/doors, you can hear children running around, laughing, people's conversations very clearly heard next door
- There is no fire hazard/safety precautions as people were smoking in the hallways
- The aircon was blowing out warm air, worst than an actual fan
- The telephone did not work
- None/very limited internet wifi reception - had to stand near the window to get 1 bar of reception

Honestly, not exaggerating at all with my comments. Please take my advice and save yourself some money and find a much better hotel nearby. This hotel should not even be rated and is not compliant for anyone to stay. As mentioned earlier, we checked out in the early morning, the person (Russol) at reception, did not even try to retain us or assure to provide a better service. Perhaps, even he has accepted the fact that the hotel is not acceptable or appropriate to stay at.

Good luck if you decide to stay at Fahrenheit Suites.

This hotel has the worst receptionist, I stayed in room h170 with my friends, the receptionist give 2 key cards at first, but one day after, i lost 1 key card in my room, so I applied for one more key card, they said that it will be charged for extra key if I cannot find the other key, so i asked my friend to find my key, and he find it so he give the key card back to the receptionist. So total i have at first is 2 key cards, and adding 1 more so total 3 key cards, and my friend give it back 1 key card at 15 Feb 2016 around 4pm. It means i have left 2 more keys in my hand. But today 16 feb 2016 at 1pm when i check out and give him 2 key cards he asking for 1 more key, and I explained to him that my friend already give it back yesterday and i am asking him to ask his friend in charge yesterday about that, but he said his friend go home already then he took 1 key card with his friend note "+1 key card 3 cards " ( see at the picture) and he says total card is 3cards + 1card.. He read the notes from bottom to top, Then i told him to read from top to bottom but he YELL AT ME AND TOLD ME NOT TO TEACH HIM HOW TO READ then he throws something on the table. He is being so rude, and my boyfriend told him not yell at me, and i show him how to read his friend's notes, then he grab and pull my hand and yell at me, he wants to take the notes from my hand! (I have his picture) After he touch and pull my hand my boyfriend yell and pull him away from me. Then he not apologize just run away to the back office. I called the manager but the other receptionist says the manager have a meeting outside the hotel. I am so angry and disappointed with this hotel. The staff are not friendly at all. The cleanness is bad especially the towel and air conditioner. I will never go back to that hotel, i hope they fired their rude staff. And please remove that hotel from tripadvisor recommendations. Thank you!

As per surfing the internet for a hotel to spend my vacation in KL I was deceived by pictures taken for that hotel where:
1. Nobody to guide me to reception when entered that place;
2. I was shocked by the terrible window view where nobody can bear that scene for a moment;
3. It was hard to access my room or dining room as I had to walk a long distance from a lift to another as if you transit inside the same building;
4. Dining room was a small room in another building like that one where I stayed with lack of facilities;
5. Towels really smelled very bad and ret as if not washed.
6. Wifi was very slow and you have to re-login to it every 5 minutes;
7. Lifts and corridor were covered with a weird plastic material and looked like a chicken store !!
8. Rooms corridor looked like an old hospital where I felt so stressed.

- As a result and after a couple of days, I moved to another hotel where it was completely different and comfortable.

For those who are not too fussy about frills for the price you may find it ok and it is better than hostel because you have two rooms but one shared toilet, a kitchenette where you can cook and a fridge with a living room and a dinner table and is spacious. It is value for money if you go with family and or friend. Overall i can say it is not for someone who is used to stay a three-star hotel. You have to equip yourself with toiletries. If you on a tight budget this place should be fine but not worse. Enjoy and experience it. They have a swimming pool which is an added plus compared with budget and hostel.
