booked 2 rooms for my friend and I. my room, dirty, dirty sink, dirty shower and stains on the bed. also a broken door. ironically I found this out after they made me sign something saying if the room is dirty or damaged we would need to pay for it. they wouldn't switch my room and didn't clean it for 2 days, the day before I left. my friends toilet was broken, wouldn't flush. didn't fix it for 2 days. they got the rooms mixed up in their wattsapp group. it was disgusting, 2 days worth of watse lingering in a hot country. I had already booked a return to this hotel before our trip and was praying I would get a better room 2nd time around. turned up, toilet is broken and sounds like a constant running shower and I've been placed next to train lines. super super loud and no way I am sleeping here. they wouldn't switch my room and made me wait for the maintenance guy instead which as I write this review he's attempting to fix it whilst my night goes by me. They also refused to switch my room even though its super loud and even tried to get me to pay to upgrade to resolve. what a joke. not fun and horrible experience. beautiful lobby yes, rooms awful and nothing like photos.

Worst experience and lousy hotel.Worst hotel. I arrived at 2.30 pm and was given a room no. 523. The room was not ready yet but the receptionist gave me the key. The room has not been cleaned. After I reported this to the reception, was told that it will be cleaned in 20 mins. After 20 mins, nothing was done and I went back to the reception. This time the receptionist chose to just ignore me. It has been more than 1 hour and the room has not been cleaned yet. Now is 4.30 pm and the room is still not ready yet. The receptionists are damn rude and poorly trained.

The hotel is in serious need of a makeover and i mean from the inside gradually to the out....such as the rooms first before slowly moving on to the outside paint jobs. Both rooms occupied had issues . The room i stayed in had window locking issues. One side was jammed, another was missing the lock entirely. And this was a hotel which seemed to have many locals with children around, so a definite no for me. I mean, if you have kids who are awoken by pigeons in the morning (which happens daily) and they go to the window (i'm sure you know where this is headed. Not a pleasant scenario.) The toilet floor was a ghastly black color but refused to step on it without slippers. My folk's room had an issue with the doors locking mechanism and also a problem with the toilet bowls flushing and the toilet's shelving? (it wasn't properly screwed into the wall and was gonna fall off) Try to ignore stains on the curtains.. and take note they do not clean the rooms everyday. If you need to request room cleaning have to inform reception. Note also no mini fridge/ chiller in the room. Their bath towels also seriously need to be changed. Now after all this are there any pros to this hotel..actually yes there are.. - Showers have hot water - Right beside Merdeka Mrt Station so transportation is a breeze - Affordable prices - Mattress is pleasantly firm - Housekeeping cleaners are nice and smiley just like reception's

I have a 3 nights stay in this hotel at end of Apr/2022. Unfortunately, it caught my serious attention after I returned from a 2 hours dinner. My laptop and table were full of ants that came out from nowhere and notice that there is a dead spider next to the TV console. To make the situation worst, I went down to reception to ask for room clean-up (at 10pm), unfortunately, an empty promise was given by the on-duty lady and I have to go down again after 45 mins while waiting for nothing (at 10.45pm). The on-duty lady was busy talking with her colleague and told me this is not her fault and raising her voice??? (Superb hospitality) After speaking with the manager on duty, Mr. Z has given a sincere apologize and manage to arrange a cleaner to clean up my room. However, look at the picture and the time wasted, it has ruined your experience with the hotel, and avoid it if possible.

The hotel was nice , having cheap Breadfast but there no make-up room unless you inform the reception although I put out the sign at the door. We stayed for 3 nites. They should inform us in advance when we check-In. I think the photos look nice but actual is not. For a resonable price is okay but there are many cheap hotels in Kuala Lumpur. The wifi is very poor and the TV is using wifi I guessed. Programmes are all local

After more than a year since taking a proper holiday with our autistic son due to Covid fears, we decided to take a nice staycation with him at Hotel Olympic after reading some rave reviews about the rooms and the cafe. We were particularly interested in the Junior Suite with the cute double-decker bed/playhouse since it would be a fun addition to the room for our son to enjoy. However, we were put off from the minute we entered the lobby to check-in. Another reason why we chose this hotel for our staycation was that we had seen pictures of the "instagrammable" cafe which also serves good and affordable food. That would have been the icing on the cake for a staycation since we wouldn't have to leave the premises for meals. But when we checked in, we inquired about the cafe and we were flatly told that it was closed for a private function. No apologies, no consolation at all. We asked if we could order and take the food to our room and again, we were just told no, the entire cafe is closed for the function. No one from the hotel had the courtesy or bothered to inform the guests staying on those dates that the cafe would be out of commission beforehand. Had I known, I would have changed my dates so that I could actually enjoy the hotel fully. On that note, the person at the reception just told us to Grab our food, meaning to order via the runner service. Again, no apologies for the inconvenience, but instead we were warned to not stain the sheets or we were liable for the damage. We were talked to as though we were little kids visiting the mean stepmom's house, and not like paying customers. Despite taking a room meant to be occupied by a family with young kid(s), we could not enjoy any family time. We were constantly paranoid that even the slightest oily hand on the sheets would mean saying goodbye to our deposit or more. We could not rest unless our son was also asleep since we were afraid he would stain the linens while we slept. We definitely did not have any rest at all during our stay after chasing him around to ensure his hands were clean. We were planning on adding more days to our staycation if we liked the place, but we ended up cutting it short and looking for another hotel to enjoy some well-deserved time off. Here are the good and the bad of Hotel Olympic: GOOD - nicely done rooms, comfortable and great for kids - clean - well-equipped - affordable prices/value for money - location is somewhat strategic, but not very close to restaurants - great decor, perfect for pictures BAD - cramped bathroom - hostile in welcoming guests/conveying messages to guests. We did not feel welcome after being told we could not eat at the cafe despite the front desk displaying all the tasty offers and foodstuff - warning about staining sheets was not friendly - the window right next to the ramp to climb up to the top bunk of the kids' bed could not be locked, which is very dangerous; especially considering that the room is for a family. It is an accident waiting to happen - the roof of the playhouse fell off, exposing nails - only one elevator was functioning, and it was very slow All in all, for the hotel alone, I would recommend it to others. It's nice and cozy, definitely worth another stay. However, based on the service, I would not recommend it. Some may say that I am asking too much from a 3-star hotel, but I've stayed at other 3-star hotels and they treat guests much better. I understand taking care of the hotel property and ensuring they are not damaged, and I am all for that. I will definitely take responsibility and pay up if I caused any damage to the hotel property, but the hotel should also train their front desk employees to be more polite to guests, and not treat them like they are staying for free. Good service can be the difference between a forgettable stay and a fantastic experience. Good manners are free, while bad manners can bear a heavy price, especially in the service industry. I hope the hotel will do more to improve its customer service.

The hotel itself is ok but the hotel staff lacked basic customer service. The service from Vicky the intern was particularly poor. My husband and I had booked a double room but when we arrived were provided a room with a twin bed. As soon as we got in the room, we went back down to reception to show we had booked a double and to explain that we had received a twin room - Vickys response was unapologetic and she just stated that was all they had. Nothing more. I am giving the hotel a 1 star because of this, but otherwise I think I would have given a 3-4 star as the price for rooms at the hotel is good value, it’s near a station for easy commute and also has a restaurant that seems to serve good food. The tv in our room didn’t work and the internet in the room was very off and on. Anyway, wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend.

The Hotel is nicely decorated.. Looks like they just renovated the hotel. The location is good, nearby with Merdeka MRT Station. However the main road leading to the hotel is congested during peak hours because of the nearby project development. Overall it's a good budget hotel.
