Stayed here for four nights a few weeks ago - it looked great on the internet. However I was very disappointed - my room was very small and not very clean. I only saw staff on two occasions during my whole stay - my room was not cleaned or made up once. it is it seems a total do it yourself hotel - fine - but for this price I expected more. You are even expected to wash up your breakfast dishes - and the breakfast was really not good - cold, weak coffee and an odd assortment of bread and spreads and cereals - all very unappetizing. The location is good - however on my arrival a few minutes after leaving the hotel I was approached by a man offering me "nice ladee or massage" -not the fault of the hotel but still...

We stayed just one night in this charming hotel before we had to go back to the airport. We had a nice room , was a bit small but I loved it ! The bed was so great and clean as well . It is a bit loud because you're staying very central but never mind.. Also the room had aircon wifi and fan. We had to go out of the room for shower and toilet , but we had our cabin with key. Breakfast was for the price more as enough. The manager ZAM was so friendly. He's a really good man. Very helpful and we could let our backpacks on a separate room for the next day . I hope to come back in this lovely hotel. By the way we had the best shower in our holiday.

Stayed here for three nights, small room, with fan, aircon and fridge, not very clean and prety old room. The toilet/shower is at the end of a hallway, and each room has its own. Our toilet didnt have a light and did not flush, but after complaining it did get fixed and started working, though not very well. I did like the style of the place especialy the communal areas were nice, and a lovely patio at the entrance. Its a very good location at the middle of the action and lots of bars and restaurants just 3min walk away. Self serving breakfast, toast, cereals, coffe/tea, and we had banana cake also. Pretty quiet place and nice, I would reccomed this to all budget travellers, who like to be at a good spot of the city. But with same value you got a lot of places to choose, within 10 min walk.

I and my husband got here by chance and everything is so great. The receptionist was old and nice. He showed us around. Then we took the "Penang" room for a good price. The breakfast was basic and outside as the receptionist told us, however, the breakfast's terrace was very nice and comfy. We stayed there two nights and were totally happy after all. This is like a heaven for that area. I would highly recommend this hotel

Hotel is located next to Jalan Alor (food street) and the famous pub street of KL -2 min walking distance. Hence lots of eating and drinking options. Nearest metro station is located near 5-10 mins of walk. Rooms are compact and dont have attached bathroom. However, its maintained well and clean. Good for 1-2 nights stay.

I stayed in this hostel with my family and our stay was quite alright. The keeper was quite nice and the breakfast (western) was good. The hostel is located in a small gloomy street in the center of Kuala Lumpur with many places to eat local food nearby. Even though there is almost no noise from the street, the other visitors of the hostel can keep you awake easily through the very thin walls between the rooms. Additionally, our bed had seen better times with its springs pressing through the mattress. The bathroom (not en-suite but private) is very small, but there is warm water and a decent pressure. All in all we enjoyed our stay, especially on the very nice terrace, just the room was a little small and sleeping conditions aren't the best.

I booked using a third party booking service and my booking was honored upon check-in. I arrived very late into the night, because my flight was delayed, but someone was there to make sure I got checked in, even at a late hour. The location is great...right at the heart of Bukit Bintang...within walking distance to the monorail station, hawker stalls, malls, and SkyBridge to KLCC. The staff were very serious and did not smile as much. But they were really helpful and attentive! They even let me print my boarding pass for my flight out with no extra charge! That's service! The breakfast was very simple and I really enjoyed it.

We stayed here for 3 nights and that was way too long. We just wanted a comfy place to sleep that would be close to everything. Although the location is great, there are plenty more places with a better value for money in the same area. You could feel every spring in the bed and the pillows were so lumpy and hard, it was almost impossible to sleep. The room was also tiny; the bed literally filled the whole room so we could only open one of our bags at a time on the bed. We don't mind having a shared or separate shower/toilet from the room however it was filled with mosquitoes and when I walked back in my towel to the room (no space to change in the shower/toilet) a bunch of men watched me through the window. This hotel/hostel is visually appealing however it is extremely uncomfortable and extremely small. The owner was helpful and like I said the location was great, but that's really the only positives I can find as this was our worst stay, and we have stayed in numerous backpackers/hostels throughout SE Asia which offered so much more value for money and comfort!

Yes bedrooms are smal but simply decorated in a design fashion of good taste. Yes it is quite noisy but in a back street with low traffic. Mini bamboo garden in our room with table and chairs and a little bay window. Kuala Lumpur has mostly blind bedrooms with no windows so that was cool. Breakfast area in the exterior yard is like home. New tiny bathroom with leaks... Ask the sheet to be changed for second night, in vain...

I stayed in the Malacca Room which has the capacity for 4 person. The room size is adequate, bed quality is ok. The room consists of 1 queen size bed, and two futons located in the attic of the room so you have to climb to get there. Air conditioning is good so you'll get cool air in the room. There is no window though. As many other has mentioned that the rooms in this place are not really soundproof, meaning that any sound coming from the corridor will get through your door. However this did not bother us so much as no one was too loud or making troubles. A small problem was encountered when there was a short period of electricity blackout in the morning. We had to wait like 10-15 minutes before it went back on. Showering was impossible without electricity as the water flow relies on the pumps. Nevermind the breakfast here as it is very simple and you are obliged to wash your own dishes! Rather walk 2 minutes to the left from the hotel and you will find a great value food stall called the "SK food corner". Who wants to have cereals or fruit for breakfast when they are in the food heaven which is KL? Good point about this hotel is that it is very close to the Alor Street which is a magnificent venue for Chinese food extravaganza! And just 5 minutes walk to the tongkat tong shin street where the KL Hop-On/Off bus stops! There are obviously tons of other cheap hotels in this area but the Homestyle is pretty much the more secluded one.
