Welcome to Orange Pekoe (formerly known as The Nest), our award-winning guesthouse in downtown KL. Located on a quiet side-road in the Golden Triangle area. Orange Pekoe is the perfect starting point for your KL adventure. Bukit Bintang's shopping district, famous Jalan Alor with its countless local restaurants and the hip bar strip of Changkat Bukit Bintang are all just a 5 minutes stroll away. Free Wifi in all rooms, daily change of towels and safe boxes (Sup., Deluxe, Family Rooms) are all elements of the feel-good accommodation that we offer our guests. We accept Visa/Master/Amex.
Orange Pekoe Guesthouse is a basic accommodation in Bukit Bintang area. Walking distance to Pavilion, Jalan Alor, Raja Chulan Monorail Station. The family room was clean and spacious enough for 4 person. Very simple, no TV, no cabinet. Aircon and water heater work well. For me, its recommended place to stay for those who needs an affordable room in Bukit Bintang area.

We booked this place for our arrival into Kuala Lumpur. We arrived just as rain set in and were dropped off by a friend. At checkin we were told that our room was not available due to a maintenance problem. This was stressful for us as it was about 22:30, raining, the neighborhood looked questionable, and we had no car. The manager kindly offered to add a bed into a smaller room to accommodate the 4 of us but when we looked at the room we wanted to stay elsewhere. A quick check on a nearby hotel with vacancy showed us an inferior room which we declined, so we returned and accepted the manager's offer. You have to buzz in through the front door which was not well marked, then buzz in again at the top of the stairs. Underneath the hotel is a restaurant. The room was modest at best. The bathroom was too small for two people at once. The air conditioning was noisy. Lighting was dim. Linens were worn. The bed was uncomfortable for my wife and I (we are older people more sensitive to that). After checkout we discovered that the neighborhood was in an area that had seen increased prostitution in previous years but was being cleaned up ahead of our visit. The manager was the bright spot here. He spoke chinese and malay, and I think a little bit of english. He left us with the impression of an honest businessman working in a trying environment.…

A basic hotel but the rooms had everything we needed and were clean. Beds were comfortable. The hotel doesn't look much from the outside but is nicer inside. The staff were helpful with taxi booking etc. Breakfast was included but this actually means use of a kitchen with bread, Jam and fruit provided. Suited us just fine,

Take your own risk. We really had a bad experience into this hotel/guesthouse. Broken Lighting/fixtures, A/C is not properly in the working condition, no toiletries and most of all smell is not good. I will not even get back here and I will not even recommend.

Great location near the best bars in the city. Clean rooms, white sheets, nice personal. Simple breakfasts... milk, coffee, tea, bread, jams, bananas, muesli. One minus: not so pleasant view from a window.

Convinient location with walking distance to shopping district and public transport hubs. Breakfast included but very basic. Room service could be better and more regular. But price is really cheap for this city so you can choose it if you are traveller and use hotel just to sleep.

This guest house is clean, safe and close to the action. It is nestled downhill about 150 meters from Bukit Bintang, a hub in this modern city. The room is Spartan with sensitive air conditioning where one is treated to the nostalgic call to prayer. The staff was especially helpful and attentive. This is not a facility for a person needing a wheelchair. I would definitely stay there again

Stayed here for 4 nights the hostel has an excellent location for sightseeing and is located within a few minutes walk from all the main attractions. The hostel /so called guest house badly needs a deep clean cobwebs everywhere. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired with the Male receptionist either a sleep or on his phone not interested in his job at all disgusting. The kitchen is clean and offers a very limited complimentary breakfast and tea and coffee all day Overall a good location but in a bad area, needs a deep clean with the male member of staff needing to find a job that is not customer focused. Would not recommend or stay again

First thing I must say is that this was cheap and in a slum area. Even the locals with business downstairs did not know where this place was when asked by the taxi driver. It was well located as far as local shops etc but close surrounds were awful. Rooms were very basic furniture looks good on photos but not practical at all. There was no daily room service and family room was cramped. The breakfast included was a help yourself to cereal, toast and tea in the kitchen and guests had to clean up after themselves - which everyone did as kitchen was spotless.

If you are ok to stay in simple place this guest house should be your choice. Clean, great wifi, friendly and helpful personal. You can have a complimentary breakfast for free: milk, cereals, toast with jam and coffee, some fruits. Nice and simple and all you need to start your day. I felt there comfy and relaxing. Location is great. You will be close to Menara Tower (15 minutes of relax walking for me) and 5 minutes of walk away from very popular food night market with lots of restaurants where you can experience various cuisines and flavors. Lots of fruit stands and variety of ice creams :) it will take about 20 minutes to Petronas Twin towers but you will not even notice that time of walking. I did not :) it's a new place and you want to look around and explore. Little adventure and fitness at the same time. Enjoy great food and burn your calories by walking 😉👌 overall - good place and good price. I 2ould stay there again. Thank you Orange Pekoe Team! …
