We stayed here for one night as KL was a stopover for us. Our room cost around £20 but was very small. We don't know what the difference between this and the budget room would be. (Aircon perhaps?) Fine for a stopover but wouldn't be suitable for us for an extended stay. Nowhere to open bags or store clothes. The shower was hot and the aircon worked well. The walls seemed quite dirty but the beds were clean. Reception was very nice and helpful.

I have travelled to 59 countries so have seen a bit of the world!! i did a quick search for a place to stay in booking.com before flying from Thailand!! this place was given a 8.2 rating, as you can imagine i have stayed in a lot of hotels and guesthouses,my first impressions were not good,some issures with the room and bed and internet!! the internet was not there fault,it was my phones,they kindly spent more then two hours helping me fix it,then they gave me a room up grade,Thank you again,Jamaica and her husband and the other girl were what changed my mind about the small guest house,Sure there are other hotels for the same price that might have slightly better facilities,but nothing will match the kindness and help they showed me,she also went to the trouble to find me a bus…

The orange pekoe is a good budget hotel. We stayed for 4 nights. We booked a standard room but asked to change as it was very small with no natural light. The friendly staff were happy to move us across the hall to a deluxe which was much better although the lighting was very poor and there was only one plug socket. There was no TV which was OK. Breakfast is available and consists of cereal,toast and fruit which is a nice touch. The best thing about this hotel is the location,it is within walking distance of almost all the tourist attractions. Good value for money in expensive KL.

My boyfriend and I recently spent 3 nights at Orange Pekoe, and we highly recommend it to fellow budget travelers. Location is within walking distance to the towers and plenty of bars and restaurants in the KLCC and Bukit Bintang areas. Also easy access to all public transport. The guesthouse is very clean, and we opted for the Superior Deluxe room and found the room to be quite spacious. The A/C worked extremely well, especially for SE Asia. No TV, but Wifi worked good enough for us to stream Netflix. Breakfast was simple, but perfectly fine—cereal, toast, coffee, and tea. And the kitchen is kept just as clean and tidy as the rest of the place. Just a few small problems: - As mentioned before, there isn't much lighting in the rooms. Great location, near transport and local amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice reception area. Room (21) lacked good/sufficient natural sunlight as only window was to an internal atrium. Light issue was exacerbated by bad room light (harsh office type glow) which meant the room was only really good for sleeping. Mattress not great. Otherwise would have been an 4/5 so easily rectified. I.e. Customer - ask for a room with an external view. Hotel - improve room lighting and mattress.

This is a great central place in KL but yes the rooms are small. We stayed in one with the external bathroom which was small but you only sleep there. The lounge area is nice downstairs with a tv and pcs to use. The breakfast is simple but nice and tea/coffee available all the time. The place is very clean and the staff are very helpful and looked after our luggage for 10 days while we went to Borneo and Penang.

I've been coming back to KL for several years, and always pick this guesthouse for my stay. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, they accept credit card too. Good night life around, yet it's like an oasis. Good choice if you want a safe and secure place to stay in the centre of KL, and use it as a base for visiting various touristic places in the city.

As I have read many reviews, I finally decided to choose this place. The place itself is not really hard to find. At the entrance, the hotel didn't allow us to use our shoes. We checked in in the afternoon, and it was smooth. The room is pretty big for the budget guesthouse, although the bathroom was narrow. Sleep was good and it was a very calm atmosphere in the house. The breakfast was adequate also. After all, it was a budget friendly guesthouse with hotel quality service, would like to come back again when I visit Kuala Lumpur later.
