It's overrated, only the location is good. Patrick, the owner, is racist and so rude. Yell at his asian worker or even at the guests. He is awful. The hostel is old, the beds are not comfortable, no windows, breakfast is bread and peanut butter. Don't recommend it.

My stay here was fantastic! Patrick and his crew are welcoming and easy to get along with. I met some really great people and if you're travelling solo, highly recommend this place. A few words of caution if you're a nitpicker. The place is incredibly hard to find and even the taxi drivers have no clue where it is. The bathrooms are fully open and overlook a construction site. They only accept cash as payment. You can't wear shoes inside the hostel.

What an amazing time i've had! The staff is incredibly nice, and help you with everything you need! Also, it is a great place to meet new travellers and the location is very central (train, bus metro) Couldn't wish for a better hostel to start my journey! Thankyou Sunshine staff!

I’ve stayed at Sunshine Bedz every time I’ve visited in KL and I will continue to stay here in the future. The location is fantastic, the facilities are brilliant & the staff are just the friendliest people you will ever meet, especially Priscilla, Yasmin, Alicia, Mira & Patrick. So happy & honoured to be a part of the Sunshine family. Terima kasih dan kamu cantik, sayangs!

Everything about this hostel is fantastic. Rooms and lockers are good size and clean and comfortable. Location is perfect less than 15 minute walk from the Petronas towers, near the train station easy to get to Batu caves. Social hostel but everyone goes out at 11 so it's quiet if you need a rest. Great communal area with guitars and games, made lots of friends here. Cheap beer and free breakfast is also a bonus. Staff are fantastic so helpful, gave me great food recommendations. Big thank you to Patrick, Alicia, Priscilla and Yasmin for making me feel so welcome and making my stay so much. Great for solo travellers or groups or couples. I will definitely return soon.

I stayed at Sunshine bedz last week. The hostel is clean and welcoming. The staff made me feel at home and we're extremely professional. The hostel attracts a fun but not extremely party crowd. Beds comfortable. Big shout out to the two Priscilla's, Alicia and Patrick 😌

Planned to stay here with my boyfriend for a few days and ended up staying nearly a whole week. A super friendly hostel located in the city centre. Patrick and Prycilla (and the amazing Alicia) made the stay fantastic, they organise lots of activities for guests, which is great if you want to make lifelong friends. love you guys and see you soon :)

I've stayed in a few hostels in Kuala Lumpur over the last few years but none made me want to stay as long as Sunshine Bedz. My girlfriend and I spent around 6 days here and it was genuinely the friendliest, homiest place I've ever stayed. Prycilla and Patrick are the most welcoming and fun staff I've met and we all became friends in no time. The location is ideal (right next to the train station and a short walk from a great food street) and the hostel is always clean, tidy and full of interesting people to chat to. As well as being extremely helpful booking onward travel, the hostel offers great activities for travellers such as bar crawls and quiz nights which all serve to bring everyone closer and make it seem like a home away from home. Thanks for a dank stay, I'll definitely be back!

This hostel is 100% made by the staff, staying here was more like having a multiple day house party/sleep over with your longest friends who you've only known a few days. Priscilla, Alicia, Patrick, Yasmin, all amazing people. Thank you for coaching me through my hangover, encouraging me to let lose on the pub crawls, and being my friends away from home. Best hostel experience I've had on my 2+ months in South East Asia. Amazing location to boot, with tonnes (I mean tonnes) of information on what to do and how to get to places. Could not have asked for more, I cannot rave about this place enough. Stay here!!

Stayed five days only to come back again. Staff is super friendly and really makes a fantastic effort to satisfy and help. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Great atmosphere and reasonable prices in the vending machine and overall. Good for solo travelers and people who want to socialize. Will definitely come back if I'm ever in KL again! Cons: no laundry service (but nearby). Small common area with quiet hours at 12am. Can be hard to find if no street view. Smoking area could be cleaner (balcony)
