Stayed in a Barbie Suite, my 5 years old daughter had so much fun with the walk in wardrobe. Lots of clothes and accessories to dress up. The suite came with surprise door gifts: a Barbie doll, butterfly wings, some accessories and a pretty high quality school bag. However the Barbie’s Cafe afternoon tea was very disappointing. Too much sweet. My advise is to go for the decoration and take some lovely photo. Do not put any expectation on the food. Had our dinner in Le Petit Chef. A very refreshing experience, food was good but not great. Overall an excellent staycation location with great customer service, but relatively outdated room amenities compared to other hotels nearby such as Mandarin Oriental and W Hotel. Will I come back? Probably.

Went to Barbie cafe as a surprise lunch for my daughter 9th birthday . Pre departure I’ve asked about any special arrangement unfortunately there isn’t because the foods are as per menu and they can’t prepare anything extra but they can accommodate if I bring my own cake for celebration. It’s still a wonderful gesture ! The food was more than sufficient and we can’t really finish it. The savory food taste quite good and the dessert part is a hit and miss depends on your own liking. Scones are quite good . Love the free flow order of items from pink chocolate fountain and free flow ice cream bar. Another type of wonderful Barbie experience from 1. Barbie doll house at play area next to pool 2. Lots of props at photo booth corner 3.Barbie AR games to try on different outfit 4. Photo spot as Barbie mannequin 5. The view was incredible. Food was pretty and scrumptious! I strongly in love with everything in the cafe. We were busy capturing every corner of the cafe and we were hesitated to eat the desserts we wanted to preserve those pretty little things. Arrghhhh please we wanna go there again!! Firstly, I had high expectations on the hi-tea however it was a real disappointment considering the price I’ve paid. Food: 2/5 To be honest, I’m surprised that the food was not up to Grand Hyatt’s standard. It was all very overly sweet and high in sugar. Savories were all served cold and tasted weird with too much truffle infused. The pastries were ok but the taste is just very off. I’m not sure if it’s because the concept is leaning towards children and that’s why the desserts were too sweet but hey, some adults do fancy Barbie as well :) the teh Tarik was especially high in sugar as well sooo I guess you should balance it out with tea instead. Service: 3/5 Maybe it is due to the shortage of staff but mostly the servers couldn’t communicate in English. It comes as a surprise to me because it’s an international hotel, and staff should know at least some basic English. Service was just mediocre and slow as it wasn’t even full house. The Barbie Ultimate Staycation experience was superb awesome, enjoyable and memorable. The Barbie Ultimate Staycation is a Trademark that promotes family bonding in a very special way. Special Thanks to Barbie Ultimate Staycation team. The only sad thing was unable to experience the Le Petit Chef dining due to fully booked condition. However, the customer service personnel Ms. Mazalina was very helpful to help us reserved THIRTY8 via phone call. Overall, there are some suggestions for Grand Hyatt Hotel’s consideration: 1) The concierge’s personnel can be more proactive to offer luggage handling service as no one offer luggage handling service to us at ground floor. However, special thanks to Barbie Ultimate Staycation team who helped us to send the luggage. 2) The complimentary surprise birthday cake was not arranged as promised via email. 3) The surprise gift was not given in a surprise way to the Birthday girl. It was arrange to send to us at Barbie Cafe as per my request. However, the Barbie’s Cafe staff was just handed it at the cafe entrance with a very casual way. 4) The Barbie’s Cafe photo-booth was not functioning well. We had done few tried to snap the photos as per request. The photos were then printed out finally after the repair. However, the other staff came to approached us in a unfriendly way to emphasise each guest suppose to get only one picture. 5) 2nd floor walkway to the pool needs frequent cleaning or upgrade paint work. 6) THIRTY8 may have a better guest attire guidelines to reflect it’s fine dine standards. I never knew that I can be ‘Fabulous’ too! From the moment we arrived we were escorted to our room; it was so exclusive as we were also given an introduction to our room; we were also cordially invited to join the Barbie Zumba exercise since it was also the ‘World Wellness Day’ on the day we arrived. Overall it was a wonderful and relaxing staycation and we felt so special and sensational at the same time! Highly recommended; to individuals of ALL age and gender!

I booked the Barbie Staycation for my gf and her friend staycation and it really was a wonderful experience for them. I was initially reluctant to book for her due to the price, however, sine she really wanted it, I can't say no! The room was beautifully decorated, the facilities in the room were fantastic and the attention to detail was great - the minibar included Barbie snacks and drinks. The girls loved dressing up with the accessories provided. She also played with the Barbie house/dolls and car. The hotel went above and beyond to fulfill my special requests and accommodating to my needs. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I am glad we booked the full package.

Booked the barbie high tea for 2, super super appreciated that they could accommodate to my friend's vegan requirement super last minute. Food is brilliant and atmosphere was ABSOLUTELY fantastic during the first 30 minutes (from 230pm). Then a group turned up to celebrate a party for a 6 year old? Girl and omg thats when the noise started. It doesn't help that the place is so tiny and covered so their noise definitely was accentuated. I wished that Hyatt, knowing a party like this would happen, would have given them a private room or had it done by the pool instead to respect the other paying guest who wanted a peaceful and quiet high tea. I mean its not cheap, and yes I understand children make noises and its their perogative to have a birthday party barbie style, but Hyatt should understand this too and try to accommodate the other paying guests as well. Would I recommend it? Yes cause the food is good however, please please do ring up before booking and confirm if there would be any parties with young kids cause it would loud. If this option isn't available, then I wouldn't recommend it. Unless you're the one who's gonna be the one with the loud party kids.…

We booked the Barbie Staycation for our daughter's 7th birthday and it really was a wonderful experience. We were initially reluctant to book due to the price, however the whole experience was worth every penny! The room was beautifully decorated, the facilities in the room were fantastic and the attention to detail was great - the minibar included Barbie snacks and drinks, there were Barbie toothbrushes and toothpaste etc. My girls loved the dress up and accessories, the Barbie house and car, the large pink swivel chair and the several bowls of candy!!! The hotel went above and beyond to make my daughter's birthday special - they provided a cake in the room and after we returned from dinner, she received surprise gifts of magnets and a keyring. They also arrived at our room the next morning with a complimentary Barbie doll for her (one per room only, so my youngest was a little jealous!) The Barbie Cafe is presented beautifully however if I am completely honest, I am glad it was part of the package and we hadn't just booked it alone - I think it is expensive for what you receive (250rm ++ per adult and 188rm ++ per child). Everything was presented beautifully but there was so much sugar and I wouldn't say the food was outstanding (eg the scones were flat and stodgy.) Also, only one drink of juice per person is allowed. Tea and coffee are free flow. For the price they are charging, I think juice, especially for children, should be free flow. Just 3 adults female planning to be Barbie for a night and Grand Hyatt Barbie Themed Staycation had granted us that! We had so much fun with the fun props prepared for us and also the deco in the room really gave us a sense of Barbie World. Not only that, I need to highlight on the customer service that was given to us makes us feels so special and it makes the night perfection. Thanks to Esther who checked us in, very friendly and pleasant. Great smile too! Thanks to Ashraf, the Barbie Ambassador for the room tour! Overall, to sum up it was a magical night and our girlfriend (Barbie fan) had a great night before leaving Malaysia. Am sure it is the most unforgettable night.
