Stayed in March 14-16 -Great Service and meticulous service at the Front Desk during check in -Spoke personally to the Reservation Team before arrival that there will be free upgrade of room but during arrival -it was not indicated in your in-house system and the Front Desk have to check again with the team- lack of communication and this had to be stepped up so that it will lessen the time for your front desk staff to check - Paid for additional person (3rd pax)for the stay-> booked under Deluxe Twin room as I don’t have other choice of rooms to book for 3 pax. but because of the “upgrade” there isn’t any additional sofa bed set up. I pay the additional pax is meant to pay for the so called “upgrade”- but in actual fact is giving me a room with a mall view and high floor.. (Please see the explaining about the whole equation) -Bathroom shower Heads both units spoilt and needs to be replaced as water is sprouting out everywhere! - Only gotten evening housekeeping Turndown service on Day 1 of stay- Day 2->NOTHING AT ALL - Most Ridiculous phone call at 1045pm on Day 2 by hotel don’t know which staff asking me If I’m related to the room next door, when the staff can’t reach out to the other room.. Don’t you guys have any records of each hotel guest name and stay.. The caller asked me if I’m aware of the person next door name:Ms xxxxx.. I was like NO!!! Cos the phone was ringing nonstop next door.. Red Flag- Privacy of your hotel guest name is compromised here- revealing the guest name to another guest next door! - the soundproofing of the wall is really thin, can hear what next door is saying.. Overall, great location, amenities inside the room has to be improved The “upgrade” is actually I pay more to get a better view-> not sincere in upgrading.. When asked the Front Desk during check in about executive lounge- check in staff told me the executive lounge is full and not able to pay to access or able to go to the lounge.. I was like surprised by the answer.. is it even a good excuse to brush off- I’m a willing party to pay for upgrades and here all the rejections and everything the equation doesn’t work in this way!

I was initially concerned I had made a wrong choice about this hotel before arriving, having seen the odd review leading upto my arrival, which wasnt great. However, It was a great hotel in a ‘ fantastic’ location (right opposite Pavillions) - the hub of KL. Rooms are big, comfortable bed, clean with a great shower. You are within 5 mins walk of the MRT, main areas such as Jalan Alor Food Street, you can walk to Petronus towers via Pavillions connecting walk way in c15 mins and much much more. My only feedback would be that for vegetarians / vegans there isnt a great choice for breakfast - you are left with fruit or bread. The outdoor pool wasn’t busy at all, its comfortable however there is a highrise building been built by it and the noise (banging) isn’t relaxing & is annoying after a while. I couldnt hear this from my room (16th floor facing the Pavilion Mall), just when sat by the pool (6th floor). I would still stop here again for the comfortable clean room and overall location of the hotel (opposite the Pavilions).

We travel to KL every year at least 2 times a year. This time we decided to stay at JW Marriot KL. Even though it was a busy Hotel, we enjoyed the stay. When we checked in we were given a room far from the lift. I called FO requested a room change as we both are Seniors and to my surprise, we were moved to a room just across the lift lobby. Everyone is so helpful from the bell man to the room attendant. I travel alot and I must say the service standards are fantastic. A simple example, I asked my way to a Chinese coffee shop to have an authentic chinese coffee, the Senior Bell staff in a Hat, walked me to a junction nearby just to show me where the shop was. Even the Bangladesh room attendants are well trained and communicates well. The next time my trip to KL, we will definitely stay in this Hotel. Good Team work from a Great Team! Regards Muthu

JW Marriott is situated in the heart of the city and transportation can be really a pain sometimes. But if you’re not intending to travel (cause basically everything you want is around you) then this place could be an excellent choice. Had some minor hiccups during check-in, as some guests were cutting the long check-in queues by queuing at “Check-out”. Staff don’t really put a stop to it which really wasn’t acceptable but guess they are too “customer centric”. Their hotel management takes feedback very seriously and basically responded to me within like 30 mins - their FOM Jai was apologetic and assured me that it was really an honest mistake but will ensure that staff in managing the queues are more diligent. Lounge personnel were all fantastic although their cocktails are a bit limited - only sangria as even a Bloody Mary was not available. Breakfast selection was also good but oh so crowded. All in all a great hotel that’s worth the bucks!

Stayed at the Hotel for the very first time during CNY this year. Just wanna highlight some disappointing observations during my stay: 1. Lifts are over-crowded and grossly inadequate to handle the large number of guests (more than 600 rooms) 2. The treadmills in the gym are in urgent need of maintenance, and perhaps even in an unfortunate state of disrepair. Limited gym equipment for a Hotel of such status. 3. Staffing levels in the Executive Lounge and Shook are insufficient to handle workload demands, especially during breakfast 4. No apparent back-up/contingency plan in place when the WIFI was disrupted for several hours. 5. Renovation work was done on the 1st Day of CNY (taboo!) That said, my wife and I really appreciate the very warm hospitality extended by Sarah and her team at the Executive Club Lounge. Special thanks especially to Lwin, Sai and intern JK. Also like to express my appreciation and thanks to Sanjiv and Prem for their kind assistance and initiative during the WIFI disruption.

Dear charleslee_sg, Thank you for staying with us and for your review of our hotel. I was disappointed to read that we didn't deliver our usual level of service. I'm very sorry, and rest assured that I'll follow up on all your concerns personally. Sadly, I can’t reverse the mediocre impression you have experienced. Again, I wish to extend my sincere apologies for the less-than-satisfactory stay. Hopefully, you will forgive us one day and give us another opportunity to serve you. Failed on so many levels: bugs in the room the ac and tv not working properly, the tub was a dog sized tub you see at a doggie spa….and on and on Not worth it to stay there with so many other great hotels. I did receive a follow up email from the hotel manager but trying to fix someone’s stay after the fact is useless…

I've chosen to try the JW Marriott for a visit during Chinese New Year, after having tried in the years most of the alternatives in the area. I am afraid I will go back to those alternatives (Westin, Ritz Carlton or Intercontinental). The main problem with the JW Marriott is that it's structurally inadequate for the number of rooms and people it holds. I feel like I've spend most of my three-days stay waiting for the elevator, or on long and overcrowded elevator rides. Also the Executive Lounge was always overcrowded with depleted breakfast buffet that took a long time to get replenished. The Fitness Room is tiny and very crowded. In addition, the HDMI port in the living room didn't work and, cherry on the cake, on my last night at the JW, the WiFi was down for more than four hours. And, when I checked in, I noticed I was not upgraded as a Bonvoy Platinum. First world problem, but it's a perk of this status. Kudos to the front desk agent that decided to handle this, mobilised room control, and got me a better room. But I shouldn't have had to ask.

It's overdue. We stayed in JW KL twice in 2023, and both were great experiences. Everyone might have different opinions on their food quality. In my view, it was at least a B. The selection of food for breakfast and the business lounge was all right. I can't complain about it. The staff were very attentive. To name a few: Lewi (or Luwi. I might spell it wrong. A skinny and tall gentleman) and Sandy in the business took care of people like family. They smiled all the time and responded to my needs immediately. There were others in the business lounge who were also very kind to us, however, I couldn't recall their names. I'd love to go back to JW Kuala Lumpur in the future and as a matter of fact, we are arriving KL tomorrow, and guess what? We are staying in JW again! See you soon!
