I love Shangri-la, let's start with the food, amazing breakfast buffet, but you can still choose how you want your eggs and your coffee, the range of food is from sushi to any kind of tropical fruit and you can have croissants and other fresh juices daily made for you! The service is beyond excellent, super impressed with that, they are super polite and fun as well. The only note that i was not impressed was the room, we upgraded to executive room but actually the room was a bit old fashion style, i was expecting more modern style but at end we spent most of our time outside the room so i was happy with that!
Great place to host conference . Attended customers gala event and it was great. The breakfast was great with wide ranges of cuisine. I enjoyed the best local cuisine .. curry noodle ! The staff was helpful and the room is clean at all time. Great service and enjoyed my stay here …
My second trip to Kuala Lumpur, and my first stay in the Shangri-La. The location is very good if you wish to stay outside the heart of the old city. The Petronas Towers neighbourhood keeps growing and growing. The monorail is a five minute walk from the hotel. Traffic can be terrible around rush hour. If you don't mind walking, then its easy to reach most parts of KL from the hotel. The service is very good. The club level rooms and common room are very good. Arthur's Bar is a bit soul-less, and the main cafe buffet, while full of alternatives, is a bit bland. But the club level restaurant food was very good indeed. A well equipped gym.
This was my first time staying in a shangri-la hotel and what a hotel it was! We stayed for 3 nights in a Horizon Club Exec room on the 22nd floor which was spacious and the bed was really comfortable, beautiful views from the window too. This gave us access to the Horizon club lounge which served afternoon tea and cocktails in the evening, well worth trying and I would highly recommend a Mojito. The breakfast buffet was huge with so many choices ranging from fresh fruit to curries, it certainly catered for everyone’s taste. The hotel itself was absolutely stunning complemented by the wonderful, attentive and helpful staff. It was in a great central location too with a short walk to bars and restaurants, the KLCC shopping mall and Petronas towers. We did use the spa facilities and had a full body massage on the first day which really helped us relax after a long flight from the UK and again would recommend. If we were to ever come back to Kuala Lumpur we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.…
What an amazing hotel. Luxury, especially as we paid a little extra for the Horizon club (executive lounge) access. Well worth the extra outlay, if you book in advance through Shangri La directly using one of their packages as we, in essence, got all meals and drinks for the holiday at the lounge. Consider a massage in the neighbouring complex, at the Siam Bodyworks, which works out at half the price compared to hotel rates
My husband and I chose Shangri La based on our parent’s recommendations after they stayed there as part of their 25th anniversary, and now us for our first year anniversary! A perfect recommendation! If you’re accustomed to higher end hotel chains then this will fit right in for you. The hotel was beautiful, luxury and spacious. Reservations were not shy to cater to a special request my husband had put it as part of our anniversary. The views from the room were stunning- wide wall windows looking out into the city. The location of the hotel was fab. You’re 10-20 minutes drive from most attractions including the Petronas, malls, bird park and so much more. Opposite the hotel is a McDonald’s-opposite which there are street food trucks who do such clean, authentic street food! There was one gentleman with a hot dog truck-do try his food! So good and they are open until 4am incase you fancy a midnight walk and snack as my husband did! Also a local fruit stall guy who does Malaysia’s famous known fruits such as Durian and Mangosteen which for us Brits was exotic and rare! Breakfast is delightful, loads of continental and local Malaysian food options. Waiters are super friendly. I particularly loved the laksa station- get yourself a bowl of fresh curry laksa in the morning. Staff are super friendly. Mr Fazrul at concierge became my husband and i’s favourite person working at the hotel! He is the loveliest soul and so helpful! He showed us all the excursions we can book with the hotel. For example, we booked the Batu Caves with the hotel, a great experience. Lovely driver with a clean car takes you privately to the attraction and very informative. Mr Fazrul also informed us of all the hotel facilities including a shuttle service complimentary to Petronas and one of the malls. He made our stay :) Having staff with such lovely personas makes every difference to your stay. The rest of the staff were also lovely around the entire hotel. We then travelled to Langkawi for some nights and the hotel kindly allow you to store your luggage if you don’t plan to take it all if you are returning back to them. If we were to return to KUL again, it’s a no brainer that we will choose this hotel. :) Thank for making our first year anniversary trip lovely :)…
Lovely 4 night stay at the hotel in November. All members of staff were extremely helpful and the hotel was beautiful. We really enjoyed the facilities in the club lounge and the pool was a welcome oasis in the hot city.
Stayed for 3 nights when visiting KL and great quality hotel. Location was great, really central and next to a Tram stop for those who don't want to walk that far. The hotel is definitely 5* standards, the interior and furniture of the hotel was premium and our hotel was really nice. The bed is so comfy! We didn't eat in for lunch or dinner here, but we enjoyed breakfast - busy but enough staff to manage. The pool area is a bonus and is a nice area to relax after a day exploring the city.
Enjoyed our stay at them Shangri-La hotel in Kuala Lumpur, the staff were helpful the room n bed linen was perfect, it was just that the towels in the bathroom both face n bath seemed old n tired, we requested n the room help brought better ones but brought only the bath ones Otherwise all was perfect, even the breakfast was awesome n a plethora of selection was there The hotel is near to pretonas towers n also restaurants n shops nearby
The hotel can be recommended for both short and long stays. It is centrally located and walking distance to Twin Towers, KLCC park, Station and Pavilion shopping center. There is a nice pool area for relaxing after a long day in Kuala Lumpur. We can also recommend the breakfast buffet - then you are ready for a long day in the city and the many experiences it offers.
