The team in Ritz Carlton are professional and has provided excellent service from bell service, room service to restaurant hosts. I want to thank you the crew in the restaurant that provided breakfast buffet, they were all attentive and helpful, in particular Mr. Arshad, who was not only personally greeted each guest, he also paid attention to details and noting guests' specific requests on seating arrangement etc. It was very comforting when you travel far away from home, yet the hospitality from Ritz Carlton KL would make you feel warm and welcoming. I will recommend Ritz Carlton to anyone that visit KL

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton at the end of February for 5 nights. On checking in there were a few issues, but these were easily resolved by the Executive Manager the next morning who very kindly upgraded us to a junior suite with club room access. Our stay was excellent, the whole team were really attentive as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Would certainly stay again as the hotel is well placed to visit all the sights and has easy access to the shopping centre. A great stay and well recovered after initial setback. Would certainly stay again.

I had high hopes for the Ritz in KL. And I was equally disappointed. It was a below average experience. Most of the staff had no idea about anything and often gave me incorrect information. House keeping kept disturbing me. On the day of checkout they woke me up just to ask what time I was checking out…. Totally intrusive …. They disturbed me most days, It was totally unacceptable. In room dining was not great either….. food below average. One time the food come cold. The room was nice size and nicely appointed, however the bed was a little hard for this class of hotel. I won’t be staying in the Ritz anywhere in the world….. I travel a lot!

So after reading latest reviews and having recently stayed at the Mandarin in KL, I decided to try the Ritz on this second trip to my surprise upon arrival at least 3 people were waiting to welcome us to help us with our bags as well as any concierge requirements so I didn’t really find a moment when I would walk thru the lobby without getting unnoticed or offered any help. The checkin experience 5 star as it was smooth without much waiting as rooms were ready prior to arrival and exactly as we had requested but yes we had to request for welcome drink during short wait as the weather was hot and I was thirty after a long drive from the airport. The Rooms 4 star - Being Ritz one can expect Victorian style very classic interior and that’s what I got, spotlessly clean room, well lit, very nice baggage storage room which was separated from the room so you don’t see any clutter, the bathroom was all marble flooring. Super comfy bed as standard Ritz with excellent quality of bedding as well as pillows. The only item would be control for lights in the room as there was no one switch to turn off all lights by the bedside, the rooms were not so bright with natural lights as being KL there are many high rise towers around the KLCC hence it’s the same with most properties in this area. The Breakfast 4 star - since it was a weekend it’s was extremely busy with staff doing all they can to feed over 70 hungry souls which was no easy task, they would need roller blades over weekends but on Monday it was calm and very Ritzy experience. There was wide selection of breakfast choices such as India, Malay, Chinese, Arabic, fresh juice station, fresh fruits station but yes the roti 🫓 that was being freshly made was the star of the breakfast. In the Chinese corner the live noodle station was busy too. The Club lounge 3 star - the space was limited for all guests to be seated and this area needs expansion desperately. The staff was superb with 5 stars for service especially May and other lady at the breakfast as they would ensure you have everything you desire even if it was not on the breakfast menu. They went to the kitchen to request for special Thai soup. During evenings they had their hands full with limited staff and limited food it was a struggle. Hence they require more staff and better food choices at the club lounge. Poolside 2 star - The pool side is well designed but lacked maintenance whereby some tiles around the pool were loose, the floor around the sun beds were sticky due to previous guests Pepsi I guess and there was no one available to attend to you. I personally would stay at the ritz again but they need more staff and need to improve the club lounge as well as it’s menu.

Whilst in the very central Bukit Bintang area, it is still in the back street. Service people were excellent, often anticipating our needs, but the fabric of the hotel is old and worn out and the food below expectations. Pillows were smelly, desk lamps not cleaned and breakfast not deserving of the Ritz Carlton label.

I would not recommend this hotel at this time, until they increase their level of service. Overall, the location is central and the guy that makes the roti/paratha was great and the roti/paratha was the best thing on the breakfast menu. That's about where the good stuff ends. If you want to stay in a Marriott stay at the JW Marriott. If you are open to where to stay - consider the Mandarin Oriental. Why I would not recommend this hotel: 1) There was no concierge to help us with any arrangements for tours, tickets or any recommendations of ANY kind. We tried to contact the concierge before we arrived and inquired after we arrived. The concierge is nonexistent - which is a result of COVID. There is a front desk, but no one to help with requests from tourists like us. As a result, from the time we checked in I inquired about the ticket to the Petronas Towers. They said they could help and would look into it. I checked in EVERY morning - (as I told them they were sold out online). Finally, they said that they also get them online - and if the online tickets are sold out, then there is nothing they can do. Most hotels have connections, or have contacts with tour operators to help their guests - but this Ritz has none of that. 2) They have no way to get you a taxi. You must do Grab (their Uber) or walk to your destination or catch the train. Period. 3) We had the breakfast buffet - and the roti/paratha maker was the highlight of the buffet. The rest of the food was okay. 4) The hotel overall is dark, meaning there is no natural light coming through - and you go upstairs through a corridor to get to the elevators to get to your room, Not a deal breaker - but I think other hotels have a better ambiance. Overall - the top two items listed were a deal breaker for us. Thankfully, we had a contact through ToursbyLocals.com that was able to get us tickets to Petronas Towers for the day and time we were available and got the tickets delivered to our hotel. Petronas Towers is a must see site - so they need to up their game on helping their guests with tickets to this site. If they were smart, they would have built a relationship with our guide who got us the tickets for Petronas. This stay made my husband (Titanium member) reconsider staying in a Ritz ever again - bc of their level of service was so low.

Good location.. it is within the area of bukit bintang. there’s a walkway going to starhill gallery. The room size is big and clean. There are 2 swimming pools but the other pool near the spa is not allowed for kids. I love the sunblock dispenser in the pool area.

We checked in the 2 bedroom suite yesterday. Very disappointed to see that the prestigious "Ritz Carlton" suite is outdated, old and not very cleaned. Most wooden doors and wardrobes are badly maintained. The worst was that 2 out of 4 bath towels got stain and need to call for replacement! Eventhough we have a kitchen with microwave, oven, stove, etc but kitchen tools, pots & amenities are not included if you seriously want to cook. Given the premium price spent, I am rather disappointed and would rather book other hotels which can offer better.

Stayed in club floor building, made to feel welcome after checking in. The lounge staff and facilities were amazing. We enjoyed not having children running around. Special mention to May and Anna who looked after us. It was the best coffee we had in Malaysia. We were impressed with all staff service standards and were surprised to discover Pui was only new intern. Overwhelmed by food and drinks offered during stay. The butler service was only used once but all staff were professional and polite. It did get busy one night and we were impressed with management supervision by Mr Vadivelu Kupusamy. The breakfast in main hotel was very generous with serving size. Watch out if you’re on diet. The room was quiet even though we faced busy road. Air con was so nice and cool. We were surprised with limited TV channel choice as movies are guilty pleasure on trips away.
