An Amazing hotel at an excellent location at Jalan P. Ramly corner. Just a walking distance to the famous twin tour, KLCC and other shopping centers. Very convenient food stalls and famous pubs to enjoy your stay. The newly renovated room has all the facilities, separating the living room, kitchen and the cosy double bed and bathroom facilities. I am a regular visitor to this hotel whenever I come to KL. Thanks to the GM Dorothy and FOM Edwyn for the wonderful arrangements. The spa at the 3rd floor is owned by friend Steve and Sabrina. The therapists are experienced and professionals. Only pre-booked guests are allowed. Nice children's pool available. Excellent safety and security system. Excellent staff and management with excellent services. Cabs are easily available. Car parking is free. Amazing night activities happening here. Don't miss it when you are in KL. Good for families. My friends and I enjoyed the stay very much. We will come again.

This is one place where it is apt to say ‘Looks can be deceiving’. The photos from the website look promising. However, when we arrived there, we were utterly disappointed.

We stayed at Crown Regency Serviced Suites from 9 June 2014 to 15 June 2014 in a 2-bedroom suite. There are 4 of us – my husband and I, my 6-year-old daughter and my 6-mth old baby. We were given Room 807. The moment we stepped in, all hell broke loose in me … As a mother, the most important thing for me is safety and cleanliness … and this place has none! The room smelled of cigarette and later, when we went down to ask for a change of room, the man at the front desk told us that we did not request for a non-smoking room .. Now, there is no option for us to choose non-smoking room when we booked.

I have not come to the ‘best’ part … one of the windows in the 2nd bedroom was broken and it could not be close! We were on the 8th floor and I have a 6-yr-old daughter! I was extremely upset. The state of the room is horrible! The aircon was broken and a piece of the aircon was dangling rite below where the crib was. The crib was in such a sad state that we did not want to use it at all. My baby slept on the double bed with me. The electric kettle is so filthy that I will not allow my family to drink from it. The freezer was broken and refrigerator was not cold inside. But the worse was the musty, cigarette smell. We went down to the front desk and asked for a change of room. The front desk man said that we did not ask for a non-smoking room and all the non-smoking rooms are full. He then said, “I can give you another room at 6th floor which is better than this one.” What does it mean? To me, it means that he knew the state of this room and he still gave it to a guest!

We were given Room 607 and it was not much better! However, the musty smell was there, the aircons were not broken but it was very old and dated. There were drawings on the wall and on the phone! The lock to the master bedroom has lost its cover, the edge of the table has come off, the cover of the water hole on the floor of the shower came off, the bathtub was in such a horrible state (I think the smokers put out their cigs by pressing on the bathtubs), black grimes were along the tiles of the shower stall, the wardrobe doors in the second bedroom has their edges coming off, the dining table was shaky and room service was not done until 5 pm by the same person. Does it mean that only one person was cleaning all the apartments? The room was very dusty too. You could actually see layers of dust on the tv cabinet and when you sit on the sofa, dust started to fly around! In the 2nd bedroom, the sink has lost its 'hole cover' and it was gaping. So if you happen to drop something in the sink, it will simply fall into the hole.

My question is, how can the management even allow guests to come into such a room and charged RM500+ per night???!! There were drawings on the wall, for Goodness’ sake! It is clear that there is no sense of pride in the management of this place. Also, when the room service people come to clean the room, didn’t they see these graffiti on the wall?? They saw it but could not be bothered by it?? There is no restaurant but a café which looked like a hawker centre setting. The pool is right next to that café. There’s Coffee Been right downstairs but food is not a problem as there were lots to choose from outside.

We asked for maintenance to come to fix the table and nobody came. So we made it as homely as possible by putting air fresheners, bought air sanitizer and I wiped all the surface with Dettol wipes. We even bought our own electric kettle.

Would I recommend this to anyone? Certainly not! You can get a much better place for the same amount of money. We did not want to look for another apartment because we were all very tired and the children were cranky and also, we did not want to lose that large sum of money. We chose the place because of its location which is in the city area. The only plus point is the free wifi. Other than that, I honestly don’t know why I should be recommending this place to anyone. Will we be back? No way!

I thankfully only spent one night here whilst in transit

Having previously stayed at nearby serviced apartments (Fraser Place and Ascott) I was quite familiar with the area and decided to give the Crown Regency a go

Check in was prompt but as soon as the room was opened by the porter (Room 906), the smell of cigarettes was overpowering.

The porter made an attempt to tell me that the smell was due to the walls being recently repainted (and for emphasis he showed me the paint spillage all over the carpet!) but I managed to convince him that I was able to tell the difference between the two and that he needed to call reception and organise another (hopefully smoke free) room for me, which he did

We moved down to room 504, and whilst the cigarette smell in this room was not quite as bad as in 906, the smell was still quite prominent.

I asked again to move to a room that was smoke free, and the porter pointed to the ashtray and the box of hotel matches on the small table in the lounge room and told me that "all rooms are the same"

Having prepaid my account I accepted that my lot was to stay in a smoky room for the night and I started settling in

When I went into the bathroom, I saw that the shower was covered in mould - not just in a couple of places, but all over. I've attached some photos of the inside and outside of the shower to confirm this. This would be the filthiest shower I have seen in my life - not just in hotels, but anywhere.

I later opened the sliding cupboard door to access the safe and noted that the ironing board cover had holes in it. Photo attached. How this could escape the notice of housekeeping is beyond me.

When turned on, the airconditioners exacerbated the smokiness of the rooms. The lounge room was noticeably more smoky that the bedroom, but notwithstanding this, upon my return home to Australia my wife wanted to know how my pyjamas had come to smell like I had spent hours in a smoky nightclub!

I also took a photo of one of the airconditioner remotes (attached) that was covered in filth

In summary, as long as you're happy to reside in a room that stinks of smoke, has a filthy bathroom and has fittings that are well past their effective life and not replaced, this is the place for you

if not, there are plenty of better options in the KLCC area

Only a thing that the hotel is close and in central of KL.

But the room is far way from the pictures on the website and they said it has renovated recently.

Bed linen had a hole, hairs and stains ( see on the pictures) .

Bathroom was out of dated, moulding around. The towels should be white to be looked better than a grey colour and I feel they are look cheap and dirty.

I walked in to the bathroom, behind the door had a rubber hanging on door knock and it was similar to C....... I informed to the Front desk immediately and luckily they took it off.

However, the nightmare was came after my husband closed the curtain before sleeping and it was a real used condom there and it was disgusting. For whole of my life travelling around, this was the worst hotel I have been. We were so tired from the long hours flight and we needed to catch the fligh on earlier morning . It was late, we decided to cover it with tissue. Next morning, I showed the pictures to receptionist and the only thing she said was sorry and nothing else. (no attached picture for this in here as it is too disgusting)

I submited my feedback to hotel via email and they said they will refund my money back and I still have not seen it in my account for nearly 2 weeks.

The price is way expensive for the dirty room. I am not recommended this hotel for anyone.

Excellent location. 5 minute walk to Petronas towers. There are several restaurants on the street below. And for travellers the KL Hop On Hop Off bus stop number 3 is right in front of the building.
About a 10 minute walk to the Bukit Bintang shopping area.
There was some noise of drilling once in a while on our floor during day time, probably a room was being renovated.
If you have a big car, do not choose this place. The entry and exit from parking is really bad.

We (2 adults, 2 kids 6y & 8y) stayed in a one bedroom apartment in mid-December 2013. Hotel condition and location was very good for the price we paid. I booked early so one night was MYR200 only. Room interior was spacious but seems to be bit old. Room was very clean and tidy and was serviced every morning. We had two single beds arrangement, was just enough for us to sleep comfortably. Additional bed cost MYR80 a night so we did’t get one! Location is perfect to visit KLCC (5 minutes’ walk). From KLCC you can get a train or Bukit Nanas monorail station is about 8 minutes’ walk away. Surrounding was clean and safe as the area is full of cafes and bars for tourist. We went to the hotel from KL Sentral cost us MYR25 at about 8.30 pm. Driver refused to use meter!
Check in was effortless, no waiting at all. We were on the 7th floor so was very quiet. Hotel's cafe, Peter’s Pan Cafe was next to the pool (temporally I guess as the one on ground floor outside the hotel being renovated). We had a delicious western style breakfast there. Price was reasonable (MYR51 for four of us). Pool seems to be clean but we didn't get a time to jump in.
Staff was polite and tried their best to help.
The electric cooker (seems to be an induction type cooker) didn't work. The one replaced by the technician also didn't work so I gave up! Tea and coffee making facilities were fine and was replenished every morning.
Taxis in the area refused to use meter all the time and charged us a lot I guess. Taxi fares we paid from hotel to, KL Sentral – MYR30 (early morning) and KL Bird Park – MYR 25 (peak time). If meter was used this could be halved!
Things within easy walking distance – KLCC train station, Twin Towers, KLCC Park, Suria KLCC Mall (high end shopping mall with Cold Storage Supermarket for groceries and a nice food court), KFC, Bukit Nanas monorail station.
